I'll post a Classic.

Spoiler: Well known riddle
As I was going to St Ives,
I met a man with seven wives.
Each seven wives had seven sacks,
Each seven sacks had seven cats, :shoe:
Each seven cats had seven kits (kittens),
Kittens, Cats, Sacks, Wives, How many were on their way to St Ives?

Ah, the old classic. I remember it best from Die Hard: With a Vengeance.

Unfortunately, SnowWright beat me and answered correctly first.

What word begins with an E, ends with an E, and only contains one letter.

Spoiler: Hint
It is not the letter E.

Gah. Stupid warmup questions from school...too easy.

The rungs of a 10 foot ladder attached to a ship are 1 foot apart. If the water is rising at the rate of one foot an hour how long will it take until the water covers over the ladder?

The ship floats up with the water, so the ladder will never be covered.

A young woman was went into a one-way street in the wrong direction, and yet nobody got offended. Furthermore, the young woman always goes this way, yet the police have never stopped her! Why is this?

Because she's walking up the street, not driving. The police only stops you if you drive on an one-way street in the wrong direction.

Anyways, A man leaves home on foot one evening, makes three left turns and arrives back home to find two masked men waiting there. Who are they?

Nice work! I didn't completely mean my last post. These are easier than normal, but props to all you intelligent CR members for your skills in lateral thinking! Here's another that I can think of at the moment:

Michael spends three days in a hospital, and when he is released he has to be carried out. However he is neither injured nor sick. In fact, he is in perfectly good health. Why does he have to be carried out?

He wants to ride piggyback on his dad who was in the hospital for three days, I guess?

You intelligent person, you. Correct!

I'll have to post another, I'm so fascinated at how many I can think of, and how many can be solved. Here's another:

A man falls 150 feet without a parachute. He flips upside down six times and eventually lands safely on the ground. How does he do this?

The answer I had was that he was on a roller coaster. However, this question is too general. Your answer is correct too.

Time to switch:

A man is trapped in a room. The room has only two possible exits: two doors. Through the first door there is a room constructed from magnifying glass. The blazing hot sun instantly fries anything or anyone that enters. Through the second door there is a fire-breathing dragon. How does the man escape?

I swear, these keep getting easier...

Magnifying glass room at night.

When little, you wish for me to pass.
When grown, you wish for me back.
I die without blood,
And you kill without a weapon.
My death is common, yet so overlooked.
Once you witness me come,
I never come back.

Who/What am I?

I'll guess and say that Murder is the surname of a person living on Elm street (on a mailbox or something).
