For some reason, I can't get past going from "Assistant District Attorney" to "Assistant United States Attorney". It just seems so cool.
The opportunity to represent my Country in court is so enticing.

For those wondering, it's not a political job. The U.S. Attorney For The Southern District of New York has fiercely resisted any sort of White House takeover.

I was offered a job at Barger & Wolen in L.A. It's white collar defense work. The yearly salary was astronomical.

I am, but it's standard practice for young attorneys to serve a valuable apprenticeship as a prosecutor before leaving for the bright lights and big salaries of Defense work.
I've toyed with the idea of being a hot shot Defense Attorney. I'm guessing deep down I just want to be like

I could go to work for The U.S. Attorney's Office and step up to take on some really bad guys and serve the U.S.A. in the process.
Or I could go to L.A. and see what awaits in the world of White Collar Criminal Defense work.

I understand that feeling, I call it "Too many choices". :P
It's like the time when I was depressed because I have no idea about my future career. (Actually, I still don't know. :P) Then one day I just looked at some careers that seemed interesting. I came up with botany, geology, law (...it's not what you think, PW didn't inspire me.. something else in my life did), forensics... and other crap.
But then I became negative and went on the "I have no skills to do anything!"... >_> I'm always on the negative side.
God I hate this.
