I seem to have slipped back into my old habit of distancing myself from everybody. I get the feeling that every time I make an effort to write something meaningful - or at least meaningful to me - it gets ignored, but when I write nonsensical crap (like this post :P), *everyone* pays attention just like I'm back in school all over again, which makes not want to bother making an effort to do anything. People do pay attention to my smily work though I suppose so it's not all bad. Perhaps everyone here has a fear of being critical of other people and I'm not used to that kind of environment yet; I'm used to people either backing me up publicly or telling me I'm talking crap, not the silent treatment.* One of my favourite things to do is have a friendly debate with new people to get different perspectives on a situation and the fact that I can't seem to do that here is one of the few things I dislike about this forum. :(
One of the reasons I'm here and active is to overcome old internet phobias but it's not going so well considering this forum is obsessed with Fanon!Gant and that kind of thing makes me go "GAH!" "AAAAAH!!" "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!" *out-of-control-mental-image-flash* *obsess and panic for two hours over nothing* :P (I keep my crazy bottled up, which actually makes it worse. I don't think you're ready for crazy me just yet, folks. I've never heard of anyone else who can traumatise themselves with their own thoughts. XP)
In other mundane news, I'm annoyed that I keep getting ignored or treated like crap whenever I apply for a job. I swear the postal service is royally screwed and half my mail isn't getting delivered and vice-versa making this much worse. Not fun. ._.
*Or perhaps it's because I'm naturally capable of writing huge essays and being far too thorough explaining myself. I don't like to sound ambiguous and indecisive but the excessive wordiness is becoming a bad habit. :P
