You mean that joke? It's a bit of a meme, albeit not the most popular one. I'm not entirely sure of the origin, but it's intended to start with a serious or thought-provoking theme and then switch to something involving bel-air.

@Domaya: I'll take a guess at what "Hässlicha" means. Would it be "hideous" or something to that effect?

Anyway, it's funny how that works, isn't it? It seems like you're most likely to attract women when you're least interested. I will say, though, that I seem to have experienced one or two notable exceptions--or maybe it's more of a proof than a contradiction... At any rate, it reminds me of something from my personal experience.

In the summer of '96, a budding relationship of the romantic kind between me and a certain Lao chick was cut down in its prime. I was a basket case on her account for at least three months and continued to carry a torch for her on one level or another for two years. During those feverish three months, I was in the habit of closely studying any and all girls in my age group who at all resembled her...just to see if they were in fact her. It never failed. Virtually every time my gaze settled on the back of one's head, she would turn around and smile at me. Maybe they felt lovesick vibes coming from me and found the whole thing cute. I don't know. But I have never experienced good luck with women on such a grand scale before that time or since.

Part III

Now, here's an interesting note: Every one of Kenny's girlfriends has some sort of bad luck. One girl suddenly had something wrong with her eyes and started to snort when she laughed. She is now the third nerdiest person at school. (First is BigFish, second is Scotty) (I'm messing with BigFish. We just bug each other. I don't hate him or actually think he's that big of a nerd.) Another one became emo and now she hangs out with the anime freaks. And I mean freaks. But the worst one that I saw was the case that the girl I liked. A few weeks after they broke up, she was involved in a hit and run accident. She was the victim. When I first heard of it, I fainted. When I woke up, I learned that she was alive and in the hospitle with a broken leg and a broken arm. I was relieved. (That she was alive.) When she finally came back, it was around Valentines day the next year I think. (I got her a pin from Wlat Disney World, she gave me what I wanted. A big hug! YEAH!) But something was a little different. She was meaner! She was always insulting people (especially Kenny) and yelling at me for being an ass to my sister. But I still tried! I got her more pins from Pirates of the Carabbean (she collects pins and loves Pirates) and she got nicer and nicer every time. But one day, she walked up to me and I gave her the last of the series of pins. She told me "Aw, how nice! It makes me feel so bad that I'm moving on Friday." That was when my heart started crack. I was so close! But I lost at the last second. I decided to try to at least get one more hug, maybe even a kiss! (Although, the kiss was very unlikely.) So, I told her that I had one last gift for her. On Friday, I came up to her and gave her a pin that looked like Dead Man's Chest. I told her "In this chest lies my heart. I hope you at least think of me when you see it." She smiled at me and said "Wow! That's so poetic! I love poetry!" That was all I got. No hug, no kiss, not even an "I'll miss you." The last thing she said to me that day was "Bye." I felt like crap for the rest of the year.

She is dense. I can understand not seeing it when you gave her pins (it's not like they're expensive gifts or anything), but not noticing "In this chest lies my heart"? Just wow.

That's really too bad :sadshoe: At least she wasn't killed, her injuries were minor, and she didn't become a freak nerd....

Mmhmm. She probably picked up on it, but instead of hurting his feelings by saying that she wasn't interested, she just pretended like she didn't notice it. Also, that may have been the reason why she didn't hug him or really do much to say good bye, because she may have found it a bit awkward.

I'm well aware of the difference. Perhaps I misinterpreted Dofa's story. Maybe I didn't, though. Teenagers are still capable of mature love; I know from experience. Either way, my statement holds true with regards to love in general.

For me, I'm not really interested in boys or girls right now. I'm pretty young, too; I'd much rather wait to mature and experience these years while they're still good before I start b'awwwing over guys. :/ I don't think anyone can experience mature relationships at my age.

About directness and rejection, I have this to say: Speaking for myself, I'd rather be stabbed in the chest with a clean dagger than fed poisoned candy. I've experienced both kinds of rejection and while the former may hurt more at first, it heals more quickly, causes less pain in the long run, and leaves me with a better opinion of the perpetrator. My advice for when you wish to discourage a guy: Mixed signals are the second best way to make him hate you with a passion. Only full-blown malice rankles more.

Being stabbed in the chest doesn't heal well, medically speaking. Not ony that, it really depends on the type of person who they're rejecting. Some people hate being rejected and will go on murderous rampages to either get back or make their rejector love them again; some people actually don't understand the concept of rejection. Poisioned candy would be perfect for the latter, especially if you say 'We'll just be apart for a while'. Though this may hold repercussions, they may actually begin to wonder WHEN they reunite with you.

Arrgh, I'm a sexually repressed 14-year old and I'm posting here with advice. Why does this not sound right?

I agree, but when youre dishing out the pain its easier to be 'nice' than direct.

Here it comes!

Part IV

Alright... where was I.... Oh! Here's something. So, later that year, I was invited to see Iron Man with my friend, Joe and his family. So then the next morning, our best friend, Samantha (Sammy), texts us and next thing I know, I'm with her! So we weren't the best couple... or even a good couple at that... but I needed a girlfriend. I was the only one out of my friends who never had one. But that's not that relavent to the case at hand. (Hehe... little PW humor.) Soon, Super Smash Bros. Brawl came out, and so did Dofa's weekly Brawl Party. Every week, if I did all my work, I got to have all my friends over for a video game party/ tourny. So one night, my best friend, we call him Senor Palcos, said "Hey, can I call someone?" And I said "Alright." So he gets on the phone and starts talking and as usual, he was arguing with another one of his girls. (He had a lot of girls falling for him.) So I guess his girl asked "Where are you?" 'cause he said "I'm at Dofa's house." Then he hung his head all sadlike and said "She wants to talk to you." And I asked "Who is it?" He gave me the phone without a word and got back to Risk. (That world domination board game.) So I go "Hello?" and I hear the last thing I'd expect. The voice of that same girl I liked girl! (I'm not using names for everyone here!) "Hey, Dofa! How are you!?" We ended up in a long conversation that lasted for hours. At one point I she told me that she wanted to go out with me.

Ooh! A cliff hanger! I always wanted a dramatic one, but this one isn't that dramatic. Either way, there's more tomorrow.

Your opinion about the subject is just as important as everyone else's. Like, I reckon that age is not a limiter of maturity and knowledge. So there's actually nothing wrong with that. :godot:

Then again, I'm more compelled to agreeing with Gregory Wright. I haven't had much experience for myself, so I don't know exactly how I would react, but the clean dagger sounds better to me. Hell, I would choose Cloud's Buster Sword, if it could make it quick and painless. :lana:

Yeah you're damn right! Lying about it just makes it more horrible when it's found out, you got lucky there.

On my part...well.... I never had any love/girl related relationship until I was 17. I was too cought up in playing video games to care about getting into a love relationship. And that first one ended up horrible... for me at least, she surely didn't care much since she blatently lied to me about it, I depressed about it until I learned the truth and then I said, out loud in my room " F*** that b*****!" And I felt all better :godot: .

And those are pretty good stories that I've read there so far, I guess mostly everyone had their awkward moment in the encounter with the opposite sex! :gant: .
