Relationship Status: Still single...and I'm ok with that.

Even though I would love to share a lasting romantic relationship with a young lady, I'm satisfied with being single for the moment.

Though as of recently, I've been learning that I actually do have decent social skills, even around some girls. So I at least don't have to worry about being too socially inept to be able to communicate.

But I'm still a little disappointed that there aren't as many females out there as interested in video games as I am, or who can relate to my ideals...Oh well, there's always other fish in the ocean, I guess.

So for right now, I'm gonna live my life as best I can! :wellington:

Single is cool, but relationships are also cool. I'm a born introvert, so even in the context of a relationship, I do need to find my solitude (so to speak) from time to time; it's important for keeping sane in my case. But relationships are nice, and add depth to many experiences, but that's not to say that single-hood can't also add depth- of a different type, neither better nor worse.

I've come to terms with the fact that I'll be single forever. It's not even that I didn't have a choice in the matter - I could even have married and had a kid if I had decided to (and I really, really wanted kids, so it wasn't an easy decision). But the thing is, I really can't live like that. I need a lot of time for myself, I need my space and my independence, and I have a hard time tolerating things from other adults (I can tolerate anything kids do, though). Add to this that I'm a very unemotional and unromantic person, I don't like body contact and I despise sweet-talking, so the only relationship that would work for me is a mostly neutral, platonic one. Even so I have a potential offer standing, but I just can't see myself living with somebody else at this point. Maybe some day in ten or twenty years or so, but not any time soon.

I'm also an introvert, and so was the guy i was going out with a few months ago. This leads to a lot of silence and mutual respect for each other's alone time, however, neither of us were very intimate, it was more a relationship for the sake of having a relationship (which is NEVER a good thing)
In the end, I realized that I would go insane in this type of relationship, thus, i'm single again :phoenix:
