It's not all that painful, trust me. It hurts for the first couple days and then you get used to it. Just, you have to stay away from gum, popcorn, starbursts, skittles, caramel, and maybe some chips. But you can still eat these things as long as you're careful.

How long did/do you have yours for? I'm hoping I've got past the age of them suggesting and that it'll be okay. My friend just got hers taken off, she's had them for 4 years :O

It's ok but I think it made my teeth a bit more sensitive
and the iso-active foaming gel tastes like shit.The Pro-namel one is nice though.
I wish we could still use kids toothpastes, the strawberry ones are sooo nice.

Random facts: Pearl drops had no taste and Hollywood formula tasted like green tea.
I have sensitive teeth you see and I cant breath in through my mouth on cold days or drink cold water (not that I do anyway) but the worst bit is that I cant eat ice cream.

Actually, it's orange-mango all natural flouride toothpaste.
When I was a kid, I always used bubblegum flavored toothpaste.

I don't mind going, but I didn't have any insurance for a long time or a enough money to go.
I'm glad to be out of my braces, but having them wasn't too bad. I always remembered to brush after each meal because getting food stuck in there is not a fun thing. It's really gross actually. I never had to wear headgear, thank goodness, but I did have the rubber bands.
As for toothpastes, I stick with the mint gels. Particularly Colgate Total, but anything the ADA approves is fine by me. When I was a kid I used to use this one called Star Junior. The tip of the applicator was star shaped and it the gel looked like it had glitter or something in it that was sparkly. It tasted, odd, I guess. Not minty but not like a fruit flavor either. I remember trying a tropical one once too.

I've never been a tea person but I loved that toothpaste. It even had minty little granules that help clean your teeth as you brush.

I had braces for two years, from August 2007 to September 2009. :| They were supposed to come off in January 2009, but they decided 'lololol let's pull out four of her teeth instead' in November, and they stayed for another half year. Other than that... I'm pretty okay with them, haha.
Oh, and toothpaste? I use extra minty minty mint flavour. :| It burns my tongue from the mintiness and my eyes water. It's amazing.

I am ashamed to tell it, but when I was little I hated to brush my teeth and did it rarely as well, and that's probably the reason why I have a few problems with them now. They was perfectly fine back than though. And you're not a little kid, so even trough you think it's fine now, you could have much serious problems when you get older. Take care of your health, dude, it's not really hard to brush your teeth everyday. =\
And about dentists, I'm pretty used to them. All you need is just endure a little anesthesia shot and then lie down with opened mouth and relax. xD But last year I've got caries and a serious cure, which includes putting creepy metal things into my tooth, was needed to heal it. And it took the whole three (or maybe four, I don't remember .__.) fucking hours spent in a dental chair. It was so long that at the end I felt myself like I'm in another dimension and the whole my previous life was a dream. xD

Anyway, I love the mouthwash I bought today, you have to shake it before you can use it, and it's pink and it tastes so nice I have to keep using it again and again. <3
