Did you ever get some into Phoenix Wright that you ended up holding trials spontaneously, and then you actually used some good evidence to win the 'case'? Allow me to explain.

Recently, i was on another forum site that i admin for, and a user PMs me to change his status to criminal. fine, alright. Then another user does the same thing. Then a third. i take a look at there IP addresses, and they're all the same. On the forum, multiple accounts are against the rules of the board (It's a roleplay board, and all; more characters = more money). I look into it deeper and then i told one of them that i wouldn't make all of his accounts a criminal. He said that he wasn't the other two members, and then took it to the board.

you may notice my post because of the use of the

Image and Image images.

After some wimpy evidence of the similar IPs almost getting debunked, i looked in even deeper and found my break. The two members were using the same IP in a 'school computer lab,' where it's all connected to one system. My big evidence was this....

One more thing.... IF the three are separate members... why haven't they tried to help one another in battles and such? There is only one time one of them has made a topic and had another involved in it, which is:

Note the times when they posted:

Mar 27 2007, 07:50 PM IP: 74.225.43.131
Mar 27 2007, 08:23 PM IP: 74.225.43.131
Mar 28 2007, 09:04 AM IP: 65.5.128.20
Mar 28 2007, 09:07 AM IP: 65.5.128.20
Mar 28 2007, 09:10 AM IP: 65.5.128.20
Mar 28 2007, 09:14 AM IP: 65.5.128.20
Mar 28 2007, 09:16 AM IP: 65.5.128.20

Most notably, the time difference between the last few posts. Even if they were both on at the exact same time, there would be no way they could reply so quickly. but even more incriminating...

WHY ARE THEIR IP ADRESSES THE SAME, WHEN THEY ARE OUT OF THE SCHOOL COMPUTER LAB AND ITS 8 AT NIGHT?

Quote:
More importantly, I'm wondering about the contradiction Death himself walked into... they used the computer lab computers, which have the same IP address. At 8 PM, the two others posted in the same topic, with the same IP address. Why would they still be using the same IP, if they weren't at school at the time?

and much to my delight, the argument held strong.

Quote:
Now THAT is some compelling evidence. I have now changed sides on this matter.
Hmm, it's occured to me that they could be in a time zone where your 8 PM is actually a fairly reasonable time of day for them...but then the 9 AM posts don't fit that well! As for responding quickly to each other, if they are in fact different people, they could read over each other's shoulders. GLT and I used to do it all the time.

Quote:
As you said Netto, yes it could be different time zones, and as you said after that, it wouldn't explain the 13 hour difference between the first two posts and the last few. Even if he posted the minute he got to school, and the minute before leaving, the times still don't match up. What school lasts 13 hours? Most last 6.

it was most definitely a moment i wanted to shout TAKE THAT and point at my enemy. I agree with Phoenix, it does give a sudden rush to find the contradictions in peoples testimonies. And It got me HYPED. Now I want to do this more often~

Now, Phoenix Wright fans... WHAT SAY YOU ABOUT IT? ANY OTHER STORIES LIKE THIS?

I was having an IRC argument with somebody over NVidia versus ATI cards. I was trying to point out evidence of ATI's OpenGL support being absolute rubbish, and wasn't doing a very good job of it either. If it wasn't for the fact that I was a chan-op at the time (note: this did not occur in #gyakusai, or even on dynastynet), I probably would have received a penalty.

There was this 'sex with Mia in Mayas body' discussion here. It was pretty cool!

Sure it's a slightly wrong topic, but still, nice job on that. The closest I've ever come to that is figuring out who stole my calculator in Math class using my Phoenix Wright skills.

Ahh yes. At Metal Gear Solid.org's forum there was an argument about if Snake was blond or not.
I went all Edgeworth on the thread, with .gif's and all.
And if you wonder if he is blond or not, here is the answer.

My favorite part of that, Berd, was the following.

Now, I tried a little experiment. I took a scissor and tried to dye my hair with it. For an entire hour I did everything in my power to get the hair to change colour with only using the scissor, but I could not manage to change it a bit.

As for the IP addresses case, good courtroom skills, but if this/these user/s have AOL, then that has multiple account holders registered to the same IP address. For example, before I got a Wikipedia account, there were all these messages on 'my' talkpage saying not to vandalise all these pages. And then I saw an explanation...that if you have AOL, there are multiple users registered to one IP address (wow, just repeated myself there).
I know how odd this was on Wikipedia to have people yelling at me for stuff I didn't do (I had never been on the site before, let alone vandalised a page)...so if the person in question IS not guilty, then I feel their pain. But they do seem rather guilty.
I'm just pointing out the AOL IP address thing.

Dearest mike2115

That's pretty damn accurate. It seems, that there is a little attorney (or prosecutor) living in us all.

Like this one time at MSN me and Demonic Defense had a serious trial about, who owned a little smiley, I had drewn. Now THAT was competition.

I saved the logfile and was about to publish it (slightly modified. All unneccesary texts off and changeit into a kind of story). However all my text files in a certain folder magically vanished some time back.

Nevertheless, it was a great fight. Lasted somewhat 45 minutes.

That was Turnabout Smiley. Phoenix
