I rarely go shopping. When I do buy clothes it's from the mall. I go into hot topic, where I hate the atmosphere but love the Futurama related merchandise. Then when I realize my things are old, I ask for clothes as gifts. What I end up with is a mish mash of things from Old Navy and things I never end up wearing. And then, finally, I break down and buy something.

Fashion is so important, so true--Jaws makes a majority of his clothes.

Neat clothes babe, the shoes with that jacket are a nice touch.

As far as fashion goes, I just pick a random top along with a random pair of trousers and hope for the best.

Honestly, fashion is the last thing I care about at 6 in the morning.

I always do my best to find colours that go well with my skin tone, eye colour and/or hair colour, not nessasarily colours I like alot. I also don't wear anything really low cut, but jumpers in winter (normally quite strong, but dulled down colours, such as deep red and dark green), T-Shirts and vest tops in summer (normally brighter colours, though quite a few grey and black ones too), jeans (got three pairs, all different shades, dark, medium and lighter), hooded tops (dark blue or green) from spring to autumn and then a winter coat (grey one this year), trainers in the summer and autumn and boots in the winter. I sometimes wear hats, gloves and scarves, but only in winter really.
Also, all my tops have horizontal stripes, I kid you not! I'm a stripe fiend >=D

I take around 5-10 minutes in the morning to find an outfit that works too, I dont just throw on anything unless I really need to rush. I like looking presentable when I go out (though I've found alot of people can throw anything on and it works! Goddamn them!)

I spend all my money on clothes and books and coffee. I don't need anything else.

So I want this Oilily bag AND I WON'T BE HAPPY UNTIL I'VE GOT IT D:

Also, this is kind ok random but I really want this brooch. ): And I need a nice pair of (vintage?) boots. I'm a sneaker kind of person but I can't get through Winter in Converse Winter Chucks haha - I'd love to though.

The way I dress is so complex, I made a flow chart to help you all understand it:

Same sneakers as always --> Random socks --> Random cargo pants (pocket space is good :edgy: )
Season?
Winter or Fall: --> Random long-sleeved shirt
Spring or Summer: --> Random t-shirt

When I go clothes shopping, I just pick stuff off the shelf at random xD There have only been 2 times in my life when I've actually picked out clothing instead of randomly selecting it: when I bought my binary t-shirt, and when I bought my iObject t-shirt.

(the binary shirt is a shirt that says "There are 10 types of people in the world: those who understand binary and those who do not" xD)

@polkadot: i'm not too big on the bag; it's too busy for me. the brooch is great though, the swan scene is cool in an ironically hip way. do you do capes? i would wear that with a short cape, personally.

I could generally visualise what look good together in my head as I'm getting ready in the morning. Half the time I'm too lazy to put something too nice-nice together, not to mention I'm too broke to pick up nice tops. I generally just stick with jeans - since they go well with virtually anything.

I'm wondering if you're going for the light tight skinny jeans or another type of jeans? I think a nice fitted boot cut would work better for those shoes. Just because if they are really skinny at the bottom, it'd make your feet look huge. Boot-cut would make it look more even, in my opinion.

Boot cut - or something that would be form fitting and comes down relatively relaxed/straight would probably look good with the shoes. Flare or skinny would look weird with those shoes - since they are rather semi-casual, the "nicey" shoes.

Dig the Adidas kicks, Gozu.

I'm a sucker for that brand. I have a couple of pairs of Adidas Superstars and few old-school track jackets.

When I'm not walking around looking like I'm about to pull windmills and headspins with Run DMC blaring over a boombox, I tend to don myself with suede/leather/lambskin 'specially when it starts to get cold. It's easy for me to dress up or down with them.

Latest purchase was a Leather Bomber with a washed-look finish from Danier. I was sad when I found out it's on sale now for $100 less than what I bought it for. I tried it on an took photos of myself before going out because I'm such a loser like that.

Sometimes it's better to be pragmatic than to be fashionable :yuusaku:

Quote:

Well, neither of them are slogans... (especially not the binary, and iObject is just a random thing)
Plus, they are doubly amusing :edgy: Amusing one way because they are just amusing, and amusing again when people don't understand them.

Not in a fashion topic, my boy.

Generally I wear orange collared shirts, brown jackets, and absurdly tight brown pants.

Oh and a brown top hat. Can't forget the hat.

I like your style Gozu! Very nice combination! Hmm as for me I mostly wear jeans. It depends on the mood I'm in but I'd usually pair it with a bright top and a pair of converse sneakers. Yes very simplistic but thats me! :pearl:

I can't say I care much for what's popular and what isn't. I tend to dress rather simply; plain shirt with no brand names or writing on it, cargo pants (I only wear them because they're comfortable), and that's about it. I tend to enjoy the semi-formal look, though I won't go out of my way to look that way. I prefer older styles of clothing--and older styles of wearing clothing. You won't see me "sagging" or tying a sweatshirt around my waist.

I picked up this one dress* today - I originally wanted to buy one that was a nice light green but I'm not allowed to wear it at the dance because it showed too much boob. Whatever, I looked good in it D:
We're not allowed dresses that don't cover the tops of our knees BUT I'M A REBEL YOU SEE :D

This one's not bad though, I like it a lot.

Spoiler: It's by Mexx, the shoes are Paul Green
The dress is grey/black. Like this.

It looks brown in the pictures though because of the baaad lightning.

I couldn't resist this coat! (by Mexx, too) I'm probably only going to wear it from the car to the hall but still.
