Not as in swearing oaths I mean as in cursing. I'm pretty sure we all know most of the swear words here but I'm interested in knowing how much you guys swear. I, for one, hate swearing but if I get really angry it just comes out. It's partly due to my enviroment and friends. |

Depends upon where I'm at. In certain places where cursing is forbidden (school, the particular CS 1.6 server I play on), I can suprisingly keep my cursing down to a minimum. I have only been told to watch my language a few times. Othertimes, it depends. Sometimes, I barely curse, othertimes, I am fucking cursing up a storm! |

I used to cuss like a sailor in my younger years so I try very hard not to cuss now; it really does sound ugly to me when I stop to listen to what's coming out of my mouth. My husband does not swear very much and I've never heard Mom or Dad (my mother and father-in-law) swear in the nearly 9 years I've known them so I've learned over the years to tone down my language to a considerable degree. Of course, when I get angry and lose my temper, all bets are off and I curse a blue streak. I really shouldn't do that. |

Swearing, swearing... Ah, back in the day I was a typical teen rebel who believed that ratings were only very loose guidelines. Most of my foul language came into stuff which I wrote... not in school, mind you. Nowadays... when I swear, normally I leave out the vowels on purpose. It makes them funnier, in my opinion. Otherwise, I half-yell "CENSORED!" (This happens when I do what I call "practice acting"... which is basically every day.) |

I swear all the goddamned motherfucking time. I have the worst mouth ever, and it's getting bad because It's starting to slip around my mom. And she doesn't tolerate swearing. Seriously, even instances that don't call for swearing at all, I swear, and when I get mad, every other word is fuck or shit or something. |

I don't often swear unless I'm really passionate about something. But a lot of times, if I get frustrated in a game (lightning dodging in FFX), I'll swear at my TV or flick it off, depending. I'm pretty terrible about it when it comes to online gaming though. If I'm getting spawn-killed or sniped in the face every time I spawn, I tend to start swearing. It's good that my mom's never around, cuz she doesn't really tolerate swearing that much. Especially "fuck". I've been caught once or twice dropping the f-bomb, and she got pretty pissed. |

I swear when I feel it's acceptable or apropreiate. I don't swear in front of people I don't know well unless they were to swear first. That's my rule.  The only time I feel it's acceptable to swear any word is if you're quoting something (along with location and acceptability). Believe or not my parents don't give a damn about swearing, but it's not like I abuse it and say things every chance I get. Most I ever really swear in front of my parents is "damnit" or "damn!" |

I'm a passionate gamer, and in my ordinary day I get really angry only when I'm losing at something, spreading "fuck" all over the place. In case of VERY TOUGH games (like some Capcom shooters or platforms) I even start to curse, yelling, with my eyes almost popping out.  My mom? She gets upset, of course. But if she gets pissed off she'll start cursing as well.

I really don't see what the big deal is about "swear words", though. I mean, they're just words and all, it's not like you're going to get hit with a lightning bolt just for saying a word every once in a while or something. |

It is all a matter of habbit really. Due to the way I was raised I never curse on Norwegian. I am kind of glad for that really, Norwegian crusing is as esthetic as an old runken irish sailor. But I tend to use a lot of English cursewords. I blame the Media for that. I tend to use word that use feces and religious figureheads as basis. Somethimes I use diffrent words for intercourse, but I try to keep that to a minimal, since it has been used up by rappers and wannabe gangsters. |
