Dumb naming. To think some kids in my school don't eat ham thanks to this. I laugh every time they say it. Poor guys. I recall some media began to call it the "American Flu". Reaction: lolwut. Just plain lolwut. Maybe it's a conspiracy to destroy America's economic system. |

It's sort of died down here in the UK. I know someone who recovered from it. They said it's like normal flu. It's quite strange- at first, everyone was going crazy about it. Now there aren't even any ads about it... |

They have bottles of sanitizers near the doors at my college for everyone to use before coming indoors, in response to the flu. The students all got a laugh out of those. Personally, they feel nice so I use them every time. |

Probably I will not get the flu since I took vaccine during wednesday. The only side effect I got was pain in my left arm. So have anyone else got the vaccine? |

My friend had it, and now she's perfectly fine. Same for my Social Studies teacher. Honestly, people are getting too worked up over this. Yes, perhaps it is more dangerous than the regular flu, but people didn't get worried at all over it every flu season. It's because the media is throwing random statistics at us, and telling us that people are dying, but not mentioning the fact that they had underlying health conditions before contracting H1N1. Where I live, vaccines are in very short supply, and aren't available to the general public yet. Only people who really need it are getting it. There was this huge mess over the fact that the Calgary Flames and their families received the vaccine, when people who needed it weren't getting it. If you wash your hands all the time, and do all that stuff your doctor is telling you, you'll be fine. Just don't freak out, there's no precautions to take for that. Though if you ever want to feign sickness and stay home, now is the time to do it. People won't question the fact that you look perfectly fine. Just cough a little, and you'll all set. XD That's what most people are doing here. And panicky parents are keeping their perfectly healthy children home, when they should be in school. It's kind of sad, really...
