My fav's were always Uno and Monopoly (of which i still have both). Others i played as a kid were Sorry, Pay Day, Life (there is one thing i hate about that game), Mouse Trap, and Battleship (and i still have those games). Plus a few others. And somehow i wound up with the combo Risk/Castle Risk game for free (ok since it was free i grabbed it :redd: ). A couple i want to find again is Thunder Road (anybody remember that?) and Scat Kat.
I also have a couple of Domino Rally sets. The forerunner of which was Chain Lightning (which i used to have).
I've mostly played card games on one of my video games, and the few times i went to a real casino (video poker).

I played D&D once. It lasted two hours and I got killed and raped by 6 orcs because my dumbass brother tried to ram down an open door.

I played this for the first time in awhile the other night and it was awesome.

Towards the end of the game, my friend's normal music playlist turned into an all Star Wars playlist, and anyone walking into the room would have most certainly shouted "NEEEEEEERDS!"; it was so damn great.

Risk is fun, although I A) always seem to get the crappy continents (AKA North/South America), and B) have terrible luck with dice rolls.

Risk, Monopoly, Scrabble, D&D, Texas Hold 'Em, Chess.

My list may suck, but these are games I rarely play as is. My life mostly consists of Video Games and sitting on my butt doing nothing.

Also Pickens, that game just made me jizz my pants.

Soooo, uuuuh, a friend of mine found this laying around and a bunch of us played it the other day.

It's pretty awful. You choose 2 X-Men and they all have some special ability and a set amount of health, and you just go around the Xavier Institute beating the crap out of random evil mutants. Whoever beats the most evil mutants wins.

There's no real way to insure victory because the method of encountering evil mutants is random. Battles are fought by rolling a bunch of dice. Each X-Man has a fighting ability stat, and you roll a number of dice equal to that. The dice all have sides that are labeled as such: 1 damage (deals 1 damage to an evil mutant), 2 damage (deals 2 damage to an evil mutant), 1 Evil Mutant damage (if you roll one of these your attacking character takes 1 damage), and blank sides. Of course this method of dealing and taking damage is extremely random and can end up hurting you.

Example: I was playing as Jean Grey and Cyclops, and I later obtained Havok. I was going to finish off an evil mutant. All I needed to do to it was 5 damage. Cyclops' ability is to add 3 dice to one of his teammate's dice roll. Havok's ability is the same as Cyclops'. I roll 9 dice and deal 4 damage to myself (enough to incapacitate Jean) and 1 damage to the evil mutant. ugh.

As awful as it was, it was amusing playing something so retarded. Yup.

I recently learned how to play poker and cheat! Also played a kid's card game while on holiday called Rat a Tat Cat XD I also forgot how brilliant chess is and played it recently for the first time in ages and won 2 of 3 games (the 3rd was put on hold and forgotten cause we got too tired).

Cheat! Oh, good times. I once caused someone to scream the most epic "NNNNOOOOOOO!!!" while playing that game in band camp! Speed is a really fun 2 player game. I feel sorry for a guy after I grabbed his wrist in elementary school.

I love Risk, though I can't get three people to play with me most of the time. I've played it twice.

Texas Hold 'Em for the win though, and I've found a place to play it online without real money or downloads with 8 people. JACKPOT.

Ahh I love boardgames! I play a lot of Catan and I really think that's the king of boardgames. I wish you could play it with less than 3 people easily (so that's why I guess they made the standalone card game? lol)

I also play a lot of Reiner Knizia games, like his Lord of the Rings board game (which is great to play alongside the movies! But much harder to win.... :grey: ).

Has anyone played games like Camelot (standalone card game), Arkham Asylum, Fruits Basket card game, or Dominion? All raelly fun.

Also I traverse www.boardgamegeek.com a lot, wonderful site for board game/table top game lovers (but they like to bash monopoly a whole lot xD).

I loved playing boardgames when I was younger. My favorites were probably Life, Monopoly, Sorry, and Yahtzee. I don't really play them anymore, but I do play my Hoyle Boardgames CD-ROM every now and then.

Hoyle? That brings me back. Back when I was little, I used to play Hoyle Card Games on CD-Rom.

I kick ass on the Monopoly board. I get Mayfair every time. Which kinda takes the fun out of it, having nobody else come close to beating me ever...
