I thought about adding "2009/2010" but then I thought this could probably be used for future seasons, too. As some of you probably know I'm a Bostonian and thus I am a Celtics fan XD
The Celts get Rasheed Wallace on Wednesday, which IMO prettymuch guarantees they're getting Title 18 next year. It won't matter as much if Marbury, Powe and Davis all get traded or signed with another team. Even though they lost to Orlando in the 2nd round, they pushed it to Game 7 WITHOUT KG. With The Big Ticket's availability next season anyone's guess, it shouldn't be a surprise Danny Ainge wants to get some extra insurance.
> Well, they're certainly contenders, but with Jefferson in SA, O'Neal in Cleveland, Artest in LA and Carter in Orlando (without Turkoglu / Lee, though so it's not necessarily to their advantage), they won't be the only one next year.
A healthy San Antonio team with Parker / Ginobili / Jefferson / Gooden - Bonner - your grandma / Duncan, and Finley, Mason, Udoka (?), Bowen (?), Blair, De Colo... on the bench, could be a serious threat. They could be even more dangerous if they manage to sign Antonio McDyess, who would be a better fit than Gooden - Bonner - your grandma.

In other news, the rumors concerning Lebron James wanting to be traded continues. Having publicly SAID he wants out of Cleveland is sure to create animosity between him in Cavs fans should he stay on next year. Unlike Kobe Bryant (who did the same thing but stayed with the Lakers) LB hasn't won an NBA Title and as the majority of past and current title-less players will tell you, your chances of being able to win one dwindles everytime the Celtics or Lakers win a title (combined, they've won an NBA Title for almost every year of the NBA's existence), make it to the Conference Finals (and you hope and pray they're having an off-year and don't make the NBA Finals) or sign an All-Star (Sans the last two seasons).
> Now that they've got Shaquille O'Neal, the only reason he would want to be traded would be for a better contract. He could not be in a better situation to win the title than he is in Cleveland right now.

Getting back to Kobe Bryant, the Lakers winning last season was more about him proving he can win a title without Shaq (which was a question many people had) and less about making up their crushing loss VS Boston last year. I'd say he's prettymuch guaranteed himself a place in the NBA Hall of Fame and can retire at any time he wants without regret.
> He still wants to play, though, and can secure his place in the Hall of Fame even more in years to come.
