Some recent novels that I can think of that I read are Memoirs of a Geisha, The Secret Life of Bees, To Kill a Mockingbird, Warriors: Into The Wild and Twilight.

I haven't read any manga lately, though the last one I read was The Dreaming.

I recently started Lord of the Rings for the fist time (I've never seen the movies, so that makes this enjoyable), but I'm not makin much progress. It's one of those books where you can only read a certain amound ot pages at a time before you put the book down.

I haven't read those books in years, seen the movies but that was ages ago too. I remember our old teacher reading out the first Lord of the rings book to us.

I loved Memoirs of a Geisha - that was a beautiful book. I'd love to re-read that.

I'm not much of a reader, in fact the only book I really like is Green Eggs and Ham.

Seriously, they should make a movie out of that instead of flippin' Horton Hears a Who!!!! :edgeworth:

Anyway, I'm currently reading Andromeda Klein by Frank Portman. I'm having trouble getting into it...King Dork was better, IMO.

I can't enjoy reading because TV, video games, and Internet is more gratifying...

But before I discovered those wonderful things, I was sort of an avid reader.... :eh?:

I fear for the future generations.

I'm reading "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle" by Haruki Murakami (?) It's pretty good, I can't put it down, I'd been hearing good things about it on this thread so I decided to pick it up. That's what I've been going for many books recently. :)

With books, you're kind of forced to use your imagination to envision what's going on. And it's fun, and very gratifying indeed.

Sorry, meant to say satisfying... :payne:

I can't use my imagination all too well which is why I let people decide it for me... :sadshoe:

But that doesn't mean I don't exactly hate books, I just don't like reading them... Usually I just listen to the audio version of some cool books...

I usually have a hard time getting into books if they don't interest me. But I enjoy the Redwall series, as well as the Harry Potter books. I also been into mystery novels lately.

My thoughts exactly.

Well, I like to read a lot. Agatha Christie is a personal favorite of mine--I've read almost all her books--and while she used to be my favorite author, I now find myself reading a lot of YA: John Green, Maureen Johnson, Sarah Dessen, Deb Caletti, and the like. Those aren't the only books I read, but they make up the bulk of my reading material. I used to be a lot less picky. Ah, the old days. Good or not? I don't know. *random tangent*

Just finished reading the Ask and the Answer, the sequel to the Knife of Never Letting Go by Patrick Ness. Ohmahgawd, it was heartbreaking. ;___;

I'm also rereading Magician by Raymond E. Feist, and realising just how much of Eragon was plagiarised. >___>

I don't read a whole lot. I'm a bit ashamed, but I just can't get in to reading sometimes. I have to be in a specific mood to get myself to read for long periods of time and I get bored easily... D:

I like The Giver, Romeo and Juliet, Anthem, Hiroshima, The Crucible, Harry Potter, You Don't Know Me, Fever 1793, Girl with a Pearl Earring, and Persepolis.

I read the first book of the Vampirates series in one sitting on the bus to london yesterday. It's my favorite book series. I really wanna read The Great Gatsby, hearing about it makes me curious. I've been back to the gay erotica and comics. I enjoy reading a lot. I'm hoping to get some more Stephen King books for christmas. My aunt is a manager of waterstones and is quite generous. She gave me Breaking Dawn, and 2 other books my P.C and Kristin Cast named Chosen and Betrayed.

My best friend read Gatsby for English and loved it.

I'm currently reading And Another Thing. I have tons of books to read afterwards, which is quite annoying. Busy BSX'll be busy.

Examples are Gatsby, The Time Machine, Orient Express, Burmese Days, To Kill a Mockingbird and, because of how bad I've heard they are, the Twilight books.

haha. Stephanie Meyer is a witch. I don't think I can read it seriously. Every time I read it, I hate Edward Cullen more. =D I need to make a list on what books from Stephen King I want. I remember reading Frankenstein for my English GSCE, I liked the book.

I only want to read it because I want a good laugh. My exams are coming up, and I'll need stress relief.

Also, Animal Farm is win. Everyone should read it if they want a good read/want to write an easy critical essay. But be prepared to cry. It has a very depressing scene in it. I honestly hated Orwell for it for ages until I finished the book.

There are WAY better vampire stories/books out there.

Just finished And Another Thing...

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series has been pretty much my favorite since I read it a decade ago in high school, and back then if I'd heard there would be a new book, I'd have been delighted without question, but taking into account the way Mostly Harmless ended (and the fact that Adams himself died), I didn't think it was even possible to continue the story. Even so, I gave AAT a fair shot.

I was really impressed; overall I thought it was better than the last couple Hitchhiker's books Adams himself wrote. There was a slight touch of retconning at the beginning and maybe a couple too many "Guide Note" sidebars, but those are minor complaints for what almost amounts to a childhood dream coming true. Ending was pretty sad, though.

Also, this book reminded me that Arthur/Fenchurch was one of my first ships.

Right now, I'm reading/listening to the Odyssey by Homer. For those who don't know what it's about, well you might as well start with the Iliad then follow with the Odyssey. I'm not so good at explaining, so if you're interested in it, please research. It's primarily about the adventures and misfortunes of Odysseus after the battle at Troy. If you're interested in these kinds of books, then please read on.

My favourite books are almost all the fantasy and fiction. Like Robert Asprin's or Andzhey Sapkowskiy's books. The favourite Fantasy book is Witcher, and Fiction one is Alice's adventures (Kir Bulychev is the autor)

Fun fact: I'm trying to write two different book series, but I lost the will to continue (read as: I grew bored and filled the void with games).

Anyways...I don't read too much. Most of it these days is from my dad's law book (The Trial Masters).
