Look back, mostly talking about High School/College Courses, but anyone can post what they loved and/or hated and why. It can be electives or core classes. For me...

Loved

-(Advanced) Theatre Arts: Two separate classes, regular and adv., we have one of the best theatre directors around, so it was pretty fun and actually very useful. I'm a big theatre guy :P

-English: All my English classes I loved, it was pretty enjoyable, and I liked most of the books we read (except "A Separate Peace", ugh).

Hated

-Honors Geometry: I took this online over a six week period. A years worth of Honors level geometry, packed into six weeks for Summer School. It was miserable, but it was worth it.

-Spanish I: Not so much the language itself, but I had the WORST teacher ever for it, made me hate taking Spanish.

My favourites were math, physics, and chemistry :)

My least favourite has to be English, but I still do like it. I just like it less.

And off to university in a couple of months to discover that I actually hate math, physics, and chemistry (Mind you, I've already taken university level math and physics...).

Favorite: Band. It's fun, but we have a sub like, every Friday. We played Funkytown this year. ^_^
Least Favorite: Probably Science. It was okay, until we had a long-term sub, then it became boring. She'd just call on random people even if she just called on you... And she'll call on you 20 times in a row if she wants to...

Wait... you have to be in High School/College if you wanna post? Oops, sorry. I'm still in middle school. :yuusaku:

Favourite - English. I love writing, and our teacher is a nut but can still teach. XD
Least - Maths. Our teacher is patronising and I just find it frustrating and difficult.

Ha ha, yes!!
Spoiler: ASP
Yeah, you pushed Finny off the tree. GET OVER IT ALREADY.

(Also, Finny was a huuuuuuuuuuge jerk. I don't care how great the book seemed to make him.)

Anyway, a lot of it has to do with the teachers. Anyway....

Photo: Well, the teacher was really awesome, but the people in the class were horrible. Our teacher had to explain to our class how to use a ruler because people didn't know. :lana: (No joke.)
European History: It was taught by the best history teacher in our school. And I sat next to the school emo, so I got to pick on him all class :3
Chemisty/Physics: Same as above, but replace "history" with "chemistry" and "physics" (respectively).
Math: STILL same as above, but replace "history"/"chemisty"/"physics" with "math". (Our school emo is fun :D)
Latin: Epicly crazy Latin teacher is crazily epic. (Ah ha! Chiasmus! (Those of you who took/take Latin should find that hilarious.))

Anyway, the only class I really hated was one english class. The teacher told us that we could use clip art for an art-project-thingy if we couldn't draw well. (And by "told us", I don't mean orally. I mean "wrote explicitly on the assigment sheet...") Since I can't draw I used clip art, and he gave me a really bad grade that caused my average in the class to be one point away from the grade bracket I wanted. (And it was only because of the art. His comments went along something like this... "Beautiful writing, perfect grammar, great ideas, excellent symbolism, I don't really like the use of clip art.")

Try taking Latin online for two years. It's so awful, you'll actually un-learn stuff.

English is definitely my favorite class - I read a lot when I was little, so anything literature-related comes pretty easy to me. (And I read A Separate Peace in 9th grade and loved it, btw. =P)

On the other hand, I absolutely FAIL at history classes in general. Too many names & dates to remember. You would think that essay-writing skills from english would carry over into history classes, but all the writing skills in the world don't help if you don't know wtf the essay prompt is asking you in the first place. ;]

I guess I kinda enjoyed chemistry too ... even though I got a C the first marking period. =P I absolutely adored my chem teacher, though.

Edit: Hey, I forgot geometry! Terrible terrible class. Proofs? Can you name a single job where you need to be able to do proofs? I DON'T THINK SO!

In High school, my favourite was Band! I loved my teachers in that class. They had some of the best stories ever. Heck, even waking up at 6 in the morning was worth it. The band trips were epic in so many ways.
I liked math, except for two units. Hated fractals because we had this project where we had to make a 3-D fractal out of paper...I'm not too good with my hands. Yeah, it so did not work out. Hated vectors because...gosh, it was annoying!
I hated chem. I really didn't like the teacher and the subject was never my best. It was a real thrill when the teacher said (within our first month) that the difference between people of her generation and ours was the fact that we have a lack of respect. The problem...she's not that much older than us.

As for college, my favourite would have to be surgery, that was one fun class. Least favourite, Hemotology in the second semester, gosh, that was a really messed up class!

Haaa... I had probably the most amazing teacher ever in the history of existance ever for my Freshman Ancient World History class. Why? Well, first off, he was a comedian, he did Second City Chicago when he was younger, probably learned History so much faster because of the jokes and improv gags he pulled. He also did ghost hunting, which was pretty awesome, he took people on a ghost tour. And probably the coolest part, he has a film production company, and he's made a couple movies.

I liked Calculus. Dunno why, guess I like tinkering with numbers & such.

Hated the so-called "English" course. They teach nothing of any remote relevance, if anything at all.

Well yeah, it was online, the teacher was some random lady on the other side of the country who either expected me to know things I had never learned or tried to re-teach me things I already knew. And the one latin teacher I actually had a class with when I was a freshman wasn't too awesome either, or she wouldn't have quit and gotten all of her students stuck with online latin in the first place.

Ok ok I'll rephrase: I am never going to be a mathematician. Or a math teacher. So I really really don't need to be able to do proofs. And geometry still sucked.

Calculus is fun, but I discovered that math is no longer my best subject. That would be Chemistry or Physics. I'm quite pleased with my Math and Physics IB marks, though. I could've done better in Physics, but I'm satisfied :)

No matter.

After all, it's just applied (or doubly applied) math.

Favorite classes: English-sometimes. I hate "journal writing" crap and writing papers. Everything else like grammar or reading is fine. Well, as long as the book is interesting, not like*cough*Ender's game*cough*
Art-sometimes as well. I hate drawing objects and boring crap like that. I like drawing people and animals, even though I'm not that great at it. I'm better than a lot in my classes, just not good enough to brag about it hahaha XD
History- I love history, except for American history. I like ancient to early modern European history.
Any kind of foreign lanuage/ASL class- I love learning languages :D I didn't do so well in German when I was in high school, so I took it again in this year and I loved it even more. My professor is just hilarious and really keeps the class interesting.

Least favorite classes: anything and everything that has to do with math. I seriously fail at math so hard. My math level is that of a middle schooler-I'm a junior in college DX I'm still in developmental math in school, but that's mostly because I keep skipping classes D:
Geology- I took that class last year and it was the most boring class I ever took in college so far. My professor was really old and boring, and all we did was look at and identify rocks in my lab classes.
Business law- took it in high school and never ever want to take it again. I don't understand anything about business or accounting, anything that has to do with money, really. Which isn't going to be good when I'm out living on my own ._.
Government- DULL. That's all I have to say.

Favorites (HS): English 10/drama (the teacher was freakin' WEIRD and it was awesome x] ) ; melody shop (choir = <3 and Stella definitely MADE the music department); Spanish/student aide ("cultural learning experiences" = BEST. DAY. EVER.)

Least Favorites (HS): Geometry/algebra 2 (teacher made it hard for me to understand stuff >o< ); AP Spanish (online language classes = DEATH. x_X;;; )

Favorites (college): Composition I and II (When the teacher makes fun of you and gets it right back... frickin' AWESOME.) ; speech (Save for team drama stuff, the teacher let everyone work at their own pace and helped draw folks out of their shells =3 )

Least Favorites (college): Logic (felt really dumb in it =/ ) ; health (felt like the teacher was killing self-esteem; and the information's the same stuff we've learned in middle school, etc.)

Once you reach third year in Scotland, you can choose your courses out of columns. I like all 8 subjects I took. Also, my fave subjects are Computing and Chemistry. WHY DON'T THEY TEACH JAPANESE!?

For my first two years in high school, I had Home Ec and French as mandatory subjects. I hated Home Ec, and I almost fell asleep in French. The funny thing is, I love Spanish, and I had the same teacher for French as I have for Spanish.

I hated Home Ec because the teacher was mean (I was a little bit slow, ok?), and it was boring, and rubbish.

Also, middle school is non-existant in Scotland.

Edit: I forgot Social Education. It's about sex, jobs, drugs, et. And I thought Home Ec was boring. And the problem is that this is mandatory. At least in Home Ec, we did something. The only way to learn about something is to do it. So I learned nothing in the Sex Ed part.

When I was in high school I loved Art, Japanese and English, and I hated Gym/Health and Math (In my case I had to take Algebra for 2 years and Geometry for 1 year)

And now in college, I loved all my classes except for Information Technology Fundamentals (Was a very easy class but had the worst teacher for it) Algebra (Yes, they're making me take Algebra at college for 2 semesters as a developmental class. Unfortunately I failed the first semester and now I have to retake it again, making me get behind in getting my Associates :larry: ), and Principles Of Public Speaking *Shudders* :beef:

Favorites:
social studies: I'm not really old social studies but 1920's up interest me a lot learning about all the movements of people it's pretty inspiring the 1960's by far the most interesting to learn about though.
cultural studies: learning about the history, traditions, cultures, food ,people of other countries might be one of my favorite things to do in general. I completley get absorbed in it i want to travel so bad..
psychology: I've only took one class yet and it was great I love people and learning about ways to help others more plus it's what i want to be so it's kind of a taste of the future.
acting: SOoo much fun i'm a total drama nerd getting up there and having fun with everyone it doesn't really even feel like a class

Least favorite:
Math: doesn't matter what kind (though statistics is better than the rest) I Haate it i'm not the worst at math though i'm not really good either but it's just so boring i just feel like i'm never gaining anything but a head ache when i take those classes.
Science: Probally cause it has math in it but it bores me to no end i guess i just don't like super logical classes in general.

It was a joke. I'm not one of those people, it's jsut that's a joke I've been wanting to say out loud for ages.

I actually know that, because I used have this rubbish subject called Learning to Learn. I disliked that because it was pointless.

My favorite classes were Drama and Music. Music is only really because I had piano lessons before school and aced those tests. Drama is just fantastic, and I'm continuing on with it in University.
I also liked Year 10/11 Russian. We had the funniest and coolest teacher, who would tell us stories of his haunted caravan and show us funny videos at the end of class. But he never really taught us very much. Nobody noticed until we got an E in our GCSE results.

Least favorite? Lots. I wanted to enjoy English, but the teacher was vague and strict, and nobody in the class liked her, which made it hard to get the work done when the rebels sat around you are discussing how much she sucks.
The same in Year 9 Russian, the teacher was always angry and stressed out, and the students were always trying to get her to snap. Even harder to concentrate when everyone in the class but you is goofing off.
Chemistry was just plain boring. The teacher's methods were just "Listen to me droan and copy out of textbooks". There was just a completely dead vibe in the room and nobody could work, so to try and avoid the subject, the students would ask him questions about his car and such. It worked, until we got a D in Science.

Favorite:
- 10th grade AP World History= I had a hilariously sarcastic teacher who was really genre savvy; we got to watch parts of Monty Python, the Colbert Report, ... and (Disney) Robin Hood. AND we found loopholes-- erm, ways they tied back to history. Scored a 4 on the AP exam (5's the highest, 1's the lowest) and I'm pretty proud of myself :godot: I'm dreading American History though.

- 1th grade AP Biology= I hated the subject most of the year, barely kept my A (though due to 4 days of cramming, I got a 5 on the AP exam, which still makes me laugh in disbelief), but I loved my teacher. She had a German accent, so I loved listening to her voice, and she was very carefree. We could eat in class, we ran around a lot and threw Cheerios at each other, and the class clown became famous for actually making her put down stricter rules since he decided it was a good idea to put his iPod on top of a heat plate. -_-;

Least Favorite:
- Band= It was an amazing class in middle school and my teacher was really fun and easygoing, despite having a large class to control (80 students in a tiny room >.<). Now in high school, the new teacher liked to talk a lot and tell sarcastic jokes, and I thought my first year there was pretty cool. This year, he gave all his attention to the marching band students and since I hate exercise, I was only in Concert Band. Therefore, I was unimportant and learned nothing, not to mention his planning skills were horrible (BY THE WAY, the next concert is in three days. Here's the piece we'll learn *insert professional piece we can barely read*). This was my last year taking band. >:[

- 10th grade Honors PreCalc= Don't get me wrong, the teacher was a nice guy, but his teaching skills were horrible. He was way too by-the-book and tried to reteach us things we already knew in a different way... even though the way we learned was easier and better to apply to the new things we were learning. I had to teach myself from the book and my mom's help (she used to be a math teacher) to keep my A in that class, and I'm glad it's over. I'm hoping AP Calc isn't so horrible *crosses fingers*

Math is my favorite because it's easy.
