In Texas, and Lunaria can probably attest to this, the courts would write this off upon hearing it as defended under Texas Castle Law, which explicitly provides that you are allowed to shoot and/or kill anyone who A) enters your property without permission after dark, B) enters your house without permission at any time, C) is in your back yard without permission at any time, D) is posing a bodily threat to any person in your houshold E) is robbing you. Basically, the state or city can't press charges against you, and the family of the injured or deceased can not file a lawsuit against you for that. Since 1836... This means our rifles are useful, even indoors. ![]() It also covers bladed and blunt weaponry.

They said he loung(sp) at them. I would swing too. Lucky me I have a wooden one so he mostly be knocked out if he came for me. |

It is so depressing that man can be charged with murder for defending his own rights. |

Mike Christiansen wrote: It is so depressing that man can be charged with murder for defending his own rights. it's not legal to charge him either, the castle doctrine states that if he was in his residence legally, the burglar was not, and if the burglar attacked him, he has the right to kill him. |
