Some people are just assholes. Or stupid ten-year-olds* who have no grasp of real consequences. First there was the cat who got skewered by an arrow (though to be fair, it was skin only, and I never did find out if it was intentional or just a stray arrow), and now this. One shot to the head might be accidental. Two shots is blatant animal cruelty. But thirteen shots to the head? Overkill, abuse, and heaven help the P.O.S. who did this if his cellmate has ever owned a cat. *I am not lumping all ten-year-olds into this category. I am aware there are ten-year-olds who know better than this. |

Well, he said something about the allergy medications don't work on him... But that's still inexcusable. Although, I find the parents at fault. I agree with this as well, I absolutely HATE animal cruelty, and this is one of the worst cases I've seen in awhile. This kind of reminds me of an article concerning a puppy a few years ago. Three teenage boys took the puppy and used him as a football, just kicking the poor thing around for hours. The puppy suffered serious brain damage (I don't remember whether he died or not though.) I volunteer at an animal shelter and have seen the results of animal abuse first-hand, so hearing about any kind of animal cruelty makes me livid. I have absolutely no sympathy for somebody who treats an animal with such utter cruelty and malice. Any punishment the cat shooter gets is too good for him

It always makes me so angry and sad when my own kitty is curled up on my lap and I read an article like this. Seriously, why even do something like this to an innocent animal? I'm very happy the cat's okay, but I hope the monster that did this is caught. Judging by the reactions here, they'd better be praying the cops find him before the animal lovers do.
