Someone posted about this on my LJ F List. Very WTF. I agree with nekonohime too. It shouldn't be for OTHER people to decide who and who can't get married. It's a personal decision between TWO people. NO ONE ELSE. I don't want approval from the general public to get married. If I want to get married, by GOD, I should be able to go get married! End of story! |

I can understand his reasoning, but I sure as heck don't agree with it. Children can be ridiculed for just about anything their parents do; Bardwell's refusal to grant marriage licenses to interracial couples will do little, if anything, to limit that. |

He'll marry blacks, he'll marry whites, but he won't marry blacks and whites >_> Anyway, considering the Supreme Court has already ruled on this stuff, they should be able to be married pretty quickly (hopefully) :3 (One of the smartest, nicest, most talented, most amazing people I know is the daughter of an interracial couple, too.) |

Don't know what to say about interracial marriages, although I do agree that everyone has a right to marry who they want (assuming they're legal...)... My dad always told me that white people are slowly stealing away all of the Asian women away from the Asian men.......probably because he didn't get married until he was 38 and most of his sisters have white husbands. =P |

This might be an obvious point, but why don't they just go somewhere else to get their marriage license? (I'm against Bardwell, though) Unless, the refusal of one justice of peace means all the others will/have to as well? |
