Well, my homestate is a bit of a tossup. It is supposedly a "red" state, but we have a democratic governer. The only politics that some of the politicians know seems to be mudslinging, which is a tactic I abhor. Most of the people I know in my area are conservitive if not just Republican.

I myself am independent.

Government is fighting the press because they speak things the gov don't want them too. Y'know, bad things about them.

I just know this will end in the government controlling the entire media and banning independient media, destroying freedom of speech... again.
To think 25 years ago we were exiting a militar dictatorship. I can't shake the feeling we're getting right back in.

No, wait, hot. But changing to rainy every now and then.

I think it's a shitty climate.

@Neo: Why are you talking about politics in this topic? Can't you read the title.

In the state I live in it's split between liberal and conservative.

As for my beleifs on politics, I vote for people based on the issues and who I think will handle the position they're hoping for the best.

it's been raining and pouring on and off recently. the weather here is always weird.

but i live in the bay area, so the people around me are largely democratic, staunch republicans are uncommon, especially amongst younger people.

i hope it rains more because we're in a drought.

Sounds like early-independence Mexico. What state do you live in, exactly?

Also, the rain here just stopped.

In Britain we have this thing where there's 5 different prevailing conditions. There's Hot and Dry, Cold and Dry, Hot and Wet, Cold and Wet, or Wet and Wet.

So depending on which one wins the Battle of Britain, it's gonna be Wet and Cold, because that one uses the powerups more effectively.

Crazily a couple of decades ago, the weather man played the God Card and created Wet Wet Wet. A sad day indeed.

The majority of Ohioans are conservative Republicans. I don't really consider myself anything (so I guess I'm independent...). I usually vote for people who stand for things I believe in and who I think could handle the job.

Wet and humid. If it's not wet, which is rare, then it's just humid. Everything is humid. I live for humid. Humidity sucks.

It's insanely liberal here, to the point of radicalism. I mean, I'm semi-liberal myself, but these people take it WAY too far--basically, if you're not a liberal, nobody is going to like you. It's so ridiculous.

Yeah. I'd like to move, but I'm too young. :/

I'm pretty happy with mine; being in college in Wisconsin, there are a lot of liberals around. I think of myself as an independent, though I tend to agree with the liberal side of politics far more often than the conservative side.

Hot for Wisconsin. I imagine a fair number of people I know from California would say it's cold. My sister in particular would almost certainly complain about it being cold if she were here--though she complains about it being cold when it's not even cold enough for most people to wear long sleeves.

Let's try not to make it even hotter by starting a political argument, okay? It's one thing to talk about the political demographics of your area, but let's be careful about speaking ill of other groups, even if it's as a joke.

Edit: Never mind. Just make sure you know where the line between funny and insulting is.

Germany is messed up! :D Because of the unhealthy high amount of OLD people we have here.. the conservative party made it out at elections here...
We (especially the young people) are totally screwed! :/ :sadshoe:
The ironicle part of the story that our "big left party" SPD screwed so much up with our old chancellor in drifting to much into the right side that even our normaly right party (no nazis here duh... for the racists here..) seem to correct our system a little bit more left now o.O
I tell you, Germany is screwed!

Well, if you know anything about my location, you can imagine that it's pretty liberal up here. Being mostly liberal myself (I don't really like talking about my political background, but I will admit that I'm pretty liberal,) I love the political climate. Some of us are a little more intense than others however. But most of the people in my area are really respectful of other people's beliefs, which I find pretty cool.

Well the conservative side here is similar to the liberals in the USA...

Churches raise the rainbow flag and marry off homosexuals. The state pays for artificial insemination of lesbians. The mention of limiting immigration will make the country scream "racism". We are egalitarians to the bone who follow Jante's law too strictly. The beggars i meet on the street aren't even from around here... Aii.. Free health care, college is even free... Prison cells look almost as nice as my bedroom. Murder rate of 0.71...

So you tell me... Liberal^10? :yuusaku:

Well, for politics right now, many people hate our president (no offense, Mrs. Arroyo) and because of the death of our dearest former president Ma. Corazon Sumulong Cojuanco Aquino, or Tita Cory for short, so many people are supporting her only son, Benigno Aquino III, more commonly known as Noynoy. Hey, when you've got two national heroes as parents, you're bound to be voted as the next president.

As for climate, we're almost ending the wet season. We're expecting Typhoon Ramil to come by around Friday or Saturday. Good luck surviving the winter, people in the temperate zones!

I agree with the above post. GMA, that corrupt, lying she-dog needs to die. And it's kinda sad that there aren't any real deserving presidential candidates for next year's elections, too.
