I've been researching this topic for a while now. I'm just interested to know, how do you think we'll go? Or do you think that mankind will endure perpetually?

This also happens to be my homework assignment, so if you could fill it out, you'd be doing me a favor. Major thanks!

I'd like it to be one of these.

But it'll probably be Nuclear War or Global Warming.

Well...sorta. I'll put you down for that.

Heat death just means everything's at the same temp., meaning no energy can be derived from heat engines.

And it'd be fucking cold (about -450 F)

Some kind of natural cycle, I guess. I don't believe in human-fucked-up-nature-and-is-gonna-kill-us-all theories, just that the Earth will do what it's been doing since it was born. Maybe even a 3rd ice age. By the way, that movie sucked.

If not, anything Nuclear-related, combined with zombie apocalypse. That would be awesome. Except that we would all be dead and stuff, but it would look awesome if someone were watching.

I think that we'll either kill ourselves through nuclear war or with robots or something, or we'll evolve so that our species is no longer classified as Homo Sapien.

Or maybe we'll mess around with genetics and kill ourselves through that.

I also think that the things that we can't stop, like meteors and the sun expanding, could also be the end of mankind. But I don't think that we'll be killed by aliens - they have better things to do.

Mass Suicide.

Everyone's mind slowly decays, each generation our minds grow weaker and weaker.
And more and more people are born Insane, Retarded, and Autistic.

We will forget our history, we will forget our religions.
We will forget our laws, we will know only pain.

We will cease to be human, we will become something less.

And when all hope is gone, Mother despair will grip our hearts.
And show us how to end it all.

And humans are forgotten, as the earth's cancer is purged.

1. I don't think we'll die of heat death (heck, wouldn't it be kinda impossible, since the sun would need to asplode first?)
2. I know what heat death is
3. thermo = heat, extinction = death... it's the only possible thing I could think of for it, but I didn't think that was actually it. I was just asking exactly how this second law led to human extinction (i googled second law of thermodynamics, but didn't really get it and didn't see how it related to human extinction)

Now that I check, the Book of Revelations is filled with the number 7... The 7 seals... The 7 angels of the 7 plagues... The 7 trumpets.

Anyway, I don't think so. I'm not a very religious guy. I believe in a God, but not in those who speak in his name.

I believe in neither. I'm surprised nobody's said 2012 yet.
Anyways, either global warming or our own stupidity's gonna do us in IMO. Either way, we're screwing it up for ourselves. I know it's a selfish thing to say, but for the love of Pete I hope mankind doesn't wipe itself out while I'm still alive. As long as I die before the end of mankind, I'll be happy. Well not really, dead people can't be happy. But you know what I mean.
Nobody's said enslavery by robots? I swear, Apple's going to be the real-life Skynet. Lol.
Am I the only one that doesn't want a zombie apocalypse? Honestly, that'd be the worst way to die. Especially if you're still concious after you're infected.
Being wiped out by a giant intergalactic laser would be pretty random. Kinda funny compared to the other deaths.

2012? Pfft, come on. If you bother reading serious articles about this "theory", December 21, 2012, only marks the beginning of the 14th "b'ak'tun", a time measuring unit used by Mayans, which lasts 144.000 days, if I'm not mistaken.
And note I wrote 14th. The world didn't end 13 times, every time a new b'ak'tun started. Okay, some even say Mayans wrote that the "End of Creation" would be after 13 b'ak'tuns are completed, but I don't believe it. They are just adadpting History to their theories.

I believe that if we end up killing ourselves, it won't be related to nature. Nuclear bomb or gigantic, world-wide wars, I don't know. But something like that.

Insert Simpsons quote about iPods enslaving us.

No, don't misunderstand me, I would hate a zombie apocalypse for the same reason you do. I just said that it would be awesome to watch for someone, if there were someone watching it. And that someone can't be affected by it... I guess. Like the giant laser. It wouldn't be funny for us, because, well, we would all be dead. But you have to admit it would be fun to watch.

I never said I believed in that 2012 crap.
My Apple= SkyNet statement was based on that Simpsons episode. XD
The giant laser would be pretty cool, imagine: I'm inches away from recieving he bill that makes me indisputable dictator of the world (you know it's gonna happen), when BAM! Giant laser, done. Pretty funny for whoever's watching.

Either robots take over or someone goes on a big killing spree.

Anyways, magneting pole shift isn't capable of ending us, you know. Stuff like that don't affect us, and anyways, it's about to shift soon, be a little more optimistic.

I say our stupidity will do us in.

I don't know how, it just will.

Maybe a world leader or someone close to them will accidentally press the button.

Maybe someone will screw up the economy so bad we'll have to forage for food in this concrete jungle.

But if the world ends, I want it to be like this.

That doesn't make any sense at all. How could robots take over? We program to do one or two things, they can't think for themselves.
