It's an excuse for idiots to prance around and show off the "wonderful" relationship they're in while asking me why I have no girlfriend over and over again even though their relationship is going to end soon because they're bloody 13 and still haven't lived a fifth of their life.

This year is kinda different. It's not that there's a boy i really like, but there's something else.
There's that boy, he's a friend of mine.
Well, he always told me he was in love with some girl, and i always rooted for him.
But some days agomy mother told me something. She told me that boy is in love with me..
She said that he told that to someone and that someone happens to be a good friend of my mother so she told it to my mother who told me.
Now, i'm confused.
I wonder if it's true.
.. That boy also told me he's planning something for Valentines day, but he won't tell me what, and not even for who.
I think he's planning on giving that other girl something. But he won't tell me. But he always tells me other things about her so why not even tell if it's for her?
I hope he doesn't read this.

If I've read this correctly, it sounds like that boy may be planning something for you on Valentine's, considering that he won't consult you about what's going on. In any case, I've never been a big fan of Valentine's and am not really good at relationship advice since I've never had a girlfriend. However, I do wish you the best in this situation!

I hate Valentine's Day because I think it's just a money making scheme. If I get something (which I won't), I'll thank the person. That's it. No hugs, kisses, cards, or present for them. I honestly only give gifts for birthdays and Chistmas, and that's only for family members.

There must be a reason why nobody ever gets through a relationship without fighting, but I'm hoping to have a relationship where there will be as little fighting as possible.

It's so funny, that's why. Every year, I act really immature, and write out Valentine's Days for everyone, and then I pretend they're from other people. In fourth class, all the girls in my class got all the boys to sign their names on a bit of paper. Then we turned the paper into a Valentine's Day card, and gave it to our teacher. He found it hilarious. It wasn't as funny the year after though, when the boys fell for the same trick again. And it was just sad when they fell for it the year after that. =O
It's a pity it's a Sunday this year.

I agree, fighting is necessary to know your partner, but it's also not necessary most of the time. I mean, why do so many children suffer when their parents fight? In no way is disputing considered ignoring. An argument can be settled peacefully without leaving both sides hurt. If you're old enough to be in a relationship, disputing things is a sign that you're not a baby who always gets what you want.
And it's true that if you are a dick to begin with, the odds of you changing are very slim. However, I never said you had to impress them. Children become aggressive, disobedient and reckless because of their biggest influence, the parents. The less fighting there is in the house, the better.
PS: I'm not trying to argue with you here, a lot of your points are very true, but I just see it as a more peaceful way.

Personally, I've always believed it's a commercial day nowadays. But it's a good opportunity to show the other person that you care for them. There's no need to buy a present, or candy, or cards, or whatever. Just find your own way to show them that you love them, and that's it.
And if you're over 16~17, there's a pretty good chance you're getting laid.
Personally, I'm pretty sure I'm going to the movies. I don't know, she's the one that's planning everything, but I think I'll have to sit through "Valentine's Day" (the movie). With a cast that big, I hope it's good.

@DeMatador: I guess that does contribute to the disliking of the holiday. I still think that it shouldn't be an excuse though, a specific day where you show someone you love them. That should be every day, damn it. It could a day where you do something super special that would be difficult to do during your regular life, like a fancy restaurant dinner or something along those lines.

@papermario I think it was to myself, but if it was someone different and they could translate it then it probably was epic. I can't speak French, which is why I used an online translator.
TBH, if I do have feelings for a girl I think I have a crush on, then I'll send an anonymous card later or something.
