What are some little quirks you had as kids?

I had a ton. One of my big ones was that if I had a favorite show or book or whatever, I felt that only I was allowed to like it, and I got majorly pissed if someone said they enjoyed it.

Another one is that I refused to eat my dinner if I hadn't already had both breakfast and lunch, which means that even if I woke up at, like, noon (which I often did when I was really little), I'd have to eat both, because otherwise I wouldn't eat my dinner.

I also went through a phase where I absolutely HAD to either wear barrettes or have my hair in a ponytail or pigtails--basically, if I wasn't wearing anything in my hair, I felt massively uncomfortable.

So yeah, what were YOUR childhood weirdnesses?

My whole life was and still is Childhood Quirks!

I need not go into details for what I've done for a certain someone...

But before that I always did weird things anyway like eating sand, ants, and sometimes grass. I also liked taking my shoes off and running around in my socks. Some habits I still have include shouting random things when outside, and surprising people from behind and jumping on them. I also still like to pick out rocks embedded in the ground, weakened by the frequent and unfeelable earthquakes of this region. If I see a piece of the ground surrounded by cracks, I'll be tempted to pick it out. I also like throwing pine cones at ducks. I've never actually hit one, but it's always funny to watch them run away and quack like they're insurance mascots. Another thing I still do is run around in the stores chasing or being chased by my sister. And then there's the picky eating, the refusal to brush my teeth, and the lack of any maturity whatsoever.

I still have most of the "quirks" that I had when I was a kid, but that's just because I have OCD.

Oh, I did like to sneak up on people and mess them them somehow. Like take something from them and flaunt it later, or scare them, etc. I guess I got a kick out of feeling like a little ninja.

Let's see...

I'd always make bands with animal ears out of paper and wear them everywhere at school. Sometimes I'd make a matching tail as well.

When I was a little older, I started slipping cat-like noises into conversation. I hissed at people when they scared me xD Then I changed that for gratuitous German...until I got a new German teacher who was a major asshole. They turned me off learning that language for good. :knock-knock:

I think that's all I can think of.. I'll ask my mother for more later.

Haha, youse all used to steal old mouses' balls. Pervs. =/

I sometimes used to use toilet paper and pretend to be a mummy for absolutely no reason. Or I'd go around asking random people to marry me. Sometimes they'd say yes.

I'm still like that XD

And I had a thing for collecting acorns. We had a really big oak tree at our old school, and we have one at my current school too.

AND I'd draw every day after I got home from school.

I would always chase my older sister around the house, then she would lock herself in her room and I would get really really really really mad. I would pound on the door until I got bruises... or scream very loud
If I saw some food on the floor, I would make sure no one was looking, and grab it off of the floor, and eat it... SLOWLY
I would jump on peoples' backs and demand them to give me piggyback rides...
I still do that. But not at school. Just with my sisters' boyfriends, my sisters, etc. etc.
I used to wake up at around seven in the morning just to watch Pokemon, Yugio, or, nowadays, Kirby.

- I remember when I was about 5, I got majorly pissed off at a friend of my nan's who called her by her real name. I screaming "NO, SHE'S NANNNN!!!!"

I used to be obsessed with okra. I just liked the slimy texture and the salty taste, the way my mom would cook it. Now I'm obsessed with Boy Bawang Cornick! Okra's okay now. Yeah, I was a crazy healthy little kid back then.

When I was little, every time one of my parents brought me shopping, I would walk around with my eyes closed and pretend I was blind. Until I realized that it was pointless because I had glasses. :grey:
Or I would hide under my bed and pretend it was a rocketship. Yeah, I was a weird little girl. :pearl:
My second-grade teacher wrote that I was immature on one of my report cards because I read during free time instead of playing with the other kids. :lana:

I was freaking terrified of holes. Pits, Tinkertoys boxes, dented apples, Dahlia's soul... yeah. Also, I was and still am obsessed with/in love with powers of 2. (grins nerdily) Hey, did you know any positive number can be represented by some sum of powers of 2? 11, of course, is 2^3 + 2^1 + 2^0, and 3/8 is simple too (2^-2 + 2^ -3), while 1/3 is 2^-2 + 2^-4 + 2^-6 + 2^-8 +

...Ahem.

-I'd give my sister's possessions to a friend of mine. My sister's older, and so was he so I thought bigger kids always liked the same thing. Also because I thought maybe I should be nice without getting in trouble.

-Also, whenever I did something bad at school (something like taking a box of crayons), I'd always think that the police were gonna find me. D: They never did hurr hurrr

Chewing pencils...

Seriously, just by checking for bite marks you could see if it was my pencil...

I still have that kind of thing with opening up pens, there still hasn't been a pen that has survived more than one month with me...

I used to stick things in the video player, when I was really little.
Once I put a slice of toast in there.
Another time I put a christmas card in there.
Then there was this huge storm, and somehow the inside of the video player had a power surge and all like melted, so the video player didn't work, and everyone thought it was because I'd put something else wierd in there.....
