Could be worse. Could be a lot better, but hey.

I like the people in my year (I'm in year 12, doing my A-levels right now. No idea what the US equivalent is), but the lower school are a bunch of obnoxious idiots (en masse, I'm sure individually, some are lovely people).
The teachers are mostly pretty nice, but there are most certianly exceptions.
Exams start on Monday, so the pressure is ON right now. >.>

I guess I love and hate school. It depends on what mood I'm in and what teachers I'm going to see for the day. I guess since I'm done with finals and all, I can say that I'm going to be a sophmore in college in the fall. (Seems like since I had started High school about 5 years ago, time has been flying by.)

I plan on majoring right now in Education. I want to be an elementary school teacher. I had originally wanted to be like a concept artist for video games and the like, but I felt like I should shoot for something more realistic and I do love hanging out with the little ones. I guess I get that from hanging around with my little cousins all the time too. They are joy to be around!

I'm starting to hate school because of homework pressure. I don't have any work or social relations that would take away my time and STILL can barely make it. Yuusaku

I hate school. I'm in high school, and I have the same schedule every day, the whole year. I don't really like any of my teachers, and since this is my first year at that school, I don't really have any friends either. I'm in my first year, so no good classes.
I also hate the whole high school culture: Whoever has the nicest stuff and the most friends is better than everyone else. It's so very material. All about me me me.

Well, I am a junior in high school and don't graduate until 2008..
But I have mixed feelings with it. I don't mind the learning part at all. It's the people in school that I tend to dislike very much. .___.

But I am planning to major in medicine when I go to college. I want to be a veterinarian. (I'm even interning right now.) Right now, though, I am juggling between looking into crime or medicine.

my favorite teacher would have to be my Chemistry teacher. XD

Haha...same here (but I'm in year 13).

Anyway, I like it when there isn't exams. However, that seems to be about 1% of the time.

What're you taking? I've got Psychology, Philosophy and Ethics, Chemistry, Biology plus General Studies and Critical Thinking.

I'm gonna drop either chemistry or biology at the end of this year, depending which I get the worst grade in.

I also have no idea what I'm gonna study at uni, nor at which uni I will be studying it. I really should make up my mind...

I'm a college grad who graduated in 2003 with a degree in business management. I originally majored in computer science at first and switched out when I realized I sucked at programming. Sadshoe

I just recently signed up for online classes to get a Master's Degree in Business Management. I have no idea when I'll complete it since I'm paying for it on my own and studying at my own pace. Maybe give me 3-4 years. Not 100% sure if I'll be going for a doctoral.

My first 2 years of high school sucked because people were jerks, then those people left so my last 2 years were pretty good. I had an extremely rough start in college since I took too much advantage of the freedom and I had to get my ass in gear to improve my grades. Overall, I would say college is a million times better than high school since most people seem to have matured and don't really bug you anymore.

Bah, it's my first year of high school, and it's weird. Not good or bad necessarily, just weird. One second they treat us like we're all still children - which we are, I won't argue that - and the next they start treating us like we're all adults... maybe in the hopes that we'll actually start acting like adults? That's probably expecting way too much of us, but whatever. Gant

You know, I think that after junior high we should all just go into cocoons and emerge four years later as mature adults. That would make things a lot easier for everyone.

High School is High School...

That said, it's okay. All of my teachers this year were reasonable. Especially my Communication Arts teacher, who is probably the only competent CA teacher I've had in a while. It sucks that she's retiring this year... Now I can't take College English.

How am I supposed to be a writer if I can't take College English!?

The only thing bad about my school is that some of the students are total assholes, but that comes with the territory. Let me offer you some perspective:

My peers make me seem intelligent by comparison.

School's okay.
Kids call me names off and on, we get crap-loads of homework, the teachers are quite fun, and our class fools around. A lot.
Science is hard, though. D: That's where we get the most homework in.

I didn't really fit in too well, but the biggest problem was the noise. I couldn't stand it. I suffered academically because of it. Come September, if I can afford it, Open University will be my solution. I deserve better, and I know that with the right learning environment (at home this time!) I can achieve what I should have achieved earlier.

I was a real perfectionist (and still am) - I guess it led to procastination. In fact, when I checked to see what it said on Wikipedia for both of those words, it sounded exactly like me. Sadshoe

Yes, school.

I'm in year 11 right now, working on the first year of the HSC course (I'm babbling in the Australian Education Language here). I happen to be in a school where I could pick the subjects I wanted to study (to a degree), so I'm looking at stuff including ancient history (like the Iceman and other bog bodies), music, art, and English. Aside from that, I'm also doing a course in TAFE.

If I wasn't doing that course I'd be in the drama class, but oh well. After I finish school, I plan to take voice training.

Love it or hate it? The social escape is nice at times, but I'm a slacker through and through... so I tend towards the 'hate it' end of the scale.
What's your options? My... options?
What level of education are you in? I'm a sophomore in high school.
What's your major? Hopefully either Journalism or Criminal Psychology. I'm still in the process of deciding, but I'd best get my GPA up regardless...

I was lucky to sail by all my years in school without needing loans. I was NOT so lucky when I decided to change careers and to do that, would need to take some online classes to get special certification. It did help me get the job I have now, but damn, I'm still paying for it! Stupid loans.

Let's see... School is ok most of the time, as long as I don't have math. I'm really hating 8th grade though. I get bullied too much. Do the teachers do anything? Nothing here. Lucky school ends in 3 weeks. Only 3 more weeks before I can turn in my 300 pound social studies book!

Sophmore year of highschool and its a hell lof a ot better than freshman year. I made better freinds and most of my teachers have nice personalities that enable them to teach pretty well. Still, the whole highschool culture thing sucks. There are still people there I want to beat to a pulp and etc. etc.

Overall, it's a love hate relationship. XD

Well... I just started in year 7 and things have not been going too well. I could make a list about why it is so bad. I'm a bit of a teacher's pet in a way, I've had straight A's for the whole time I'm in school, and everyone asks me for the answers to questions. I think my fave teacher has to be my history teacher. She's so nice ^_^

School may be behind me now, but I'm currently in my first year of College, and the pressure is on the whole year. Taking a two year Acting course, we've got performances to get ready, logbooks and evaluations to write up, and deadlines to worry about.

One minute it feels like there's nothing going on at College, the next, you're under extreme pressure from multiple assignments. Every assignment spread across the two years count towards your final grade. You've got to complete ALL the assignments. If you fail one assignment, you fail the unit. When you fail a unit, you fail the year, and can't get onto the second year, thus fail the entire course.

But the students I'm working with on the other hand are great. While there may be a certain rift between a few of them, I'm free to hang out with all of them, and not be labeled as "one of them".
Spoiler: Do a nice thing today,

It's pretty cool I guess. I'm in my last year of high school and this has been my schedule all year:

1st period: Art Portfolio
2nd period: Gym
3rd period: Advanced math
4th period: Gov't
5th period: Poetry

I like all my teacher's although my poetry teacher can be really anal at times Butz
My math teacher is the coolest though. He's a huge gamer and claims he has one of the biggest videogame collections in the world. A few months ago he said he just completed his PSX collection. He's into all games including Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy and Phoenix Wright.

I'm considered either "anime girl" or "rpg girl" in class XD Which is funny although it's kinda embarrasing being called that in front of the whole class.

High school overall was good, though could have been better. I haven't hung out a lot with my friends all year round because I never see them Sadshoe And I won't be going to my prom

So in a way I'll be happy leaving school, but in a way I'll miss it.

But I'll be going into the Joe Kubert School so it's all cool Larry
I'm hoping to get a career in animation, cartooning or illustration. I really can't think of doing anything else in my life, except maybe graphic design or video editing.
