Story of My Life by Helen Killer. Was my first time reading it. I liked it.

Oh man got up to date in Hajime no Ippo and by god its going things I never expected of a shonen manga. Just hitting the protagonists with a truckload of reality in a really dark way.

Its incredible! I don't know how it'll be able to go on from here for long.

Re-reading Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone for some x-tieth time. It's fun to see how different it's written from the later books. It's definitely written as a children's book, but goes more adult as Harry (and the readers) got older. And recalling that she wrote this when she was so poor, she went into a pub and wrote there, just to be in the presence of a working heater. Hence the heavy emphasis on what amazing food is in Hogwarts.

I actually read this book this year. What I notice is how my perspective on things, especially on the “bad guys” change as I get older. I used to hate Malfoy. Like, he really used to piss me off, almost as if he were a real bully, bullying one of my friends. Nowadays I kind of like Malfoy, understand why he is what he is, and I think he makes more sense than Harry in many ways.

Yeah, it's interesting. I notice that the first few books seem to be half the length of the later ones, so you can definitely get a feel for how they evolved.

Worm by Wildbow

Started a reread of this after finishing it early last year. Been active in its fandom ever since, absolutely gripped by the premise and worldbuilding. Inspired me to make my own stuff in this universe but set in cities close to my own heart.

I'm giving Berserk a read. I've read a few things about it, but I don't think anything too spoilery.
So far, all I see is lots of violence, unnecessary sex/nudity, and death.

I'm reading Educated: A Memoir for one of my classes. It's been pretty interesting tbh.

Atlas Shrugged. I'll hopefully finish it by the end of next year lol
But it's still very compelling. I was a big fan of The Fountainhead which I read earlier this year.
