My family recently... have been discussing about finding a puppy suitable for our house. We find that the Papillion would be a good choice. It's small, easy to carry and... it always has energy and willing to run around. But luckily it's not like a Greyhound. Their ears are also fairly big, so often people call them "Butterfly dogs" because of their ears. They also have squirrel-like tails.

I think we need name suggestions. Foriegn language names are also fine, as long as you provide the name's meaning.

Here's what I thought of:

Phoenix: Why? Papillions can come in red and brown, and their ears look like wings. I really want a red or brown Papillion... so I think a name like that would match. Phoenix can also be a girl's name.

Riki: A Japanese name that symbolizes strength, basically because a Papillion can go on and on with so much energy in it. Usually a boy's name.

Missle, Jet or Rocket: Take a guess. Male names.

Fuuga: Means elegance. Male name.

Your opinions? I espically need female name suggestions if we decide to get a female pup.

How about Victor? As in, "...And from the ashes will a victor rise...".

Or, Victor as in "Victorious"? Both examples, I think, tie in well with the name "Phoenix". I'm also assuming that in order to be victorious, you would have to be quite strong.

My Random House dictionary said Yuri meant "Lily," so I'm just gonna go with that. Ayame might be a different kind of lily.

Ayame does not mean Lily, it actually means "Iris" which is a type of flower. But I guess it could be the same thing, but I'm just trying to be exact here.

I thought so... I don't have my dictionary handy any more, so I can't look it up. Eh, well. Let's see...
Nope, can't think of another good name immediately. :phoenix:
