So. I've got my answer and I'm sure many of you will say that Facebook Messenger is crap (and I agree - in fact, Facebook itself is crap IMO), but I thought it'd be interesting to ask:

Which is the best IM/chat/etc program for you? Yahoo!, Skype, Facebook?

As for me, Skype, because it's the only one I use (and is the closest to MSN Messenger *RIP*).

MSN MESSENGER!!!!

I still use it, fortunately for some reason it still works.

I really don't know how it lost out to the likes of Skype. It was around before a lot of messengers so it should have had a larger userbase (well till Facebook I suppose). It didn't offer any more or less features than other messengers Skype is known for it's video calls but nothing MSN can't do plus MSN lets you change font colours and styles and I've had trouble finding anything like that for Skype.

I'm going to have to move to stupid Skype eventually though.

Never used Yahoo or Facebook, I don't even have Facebook and don't want it.
But I will say MSN. I only switched to Skype because I had to.
I don't know why people always think the messengers (or other things) that can do a ton of things are that great, anyway. I used MSN cause it was simple, it let me chat online and it was free. If I wanted to, I could use webcam. Now with Skype I can do phone calls or video calls or I don't know and I don't really care. I still use it for chatting and that's it.

Here in Brazil it still works too, they postponed the deadline to April 30 here, but no one uses it anymore :( changing fonts, coloring nicknames and the overall aspect of MSN Messenger is going to be dearly missed.

What killed MSN in Brazil was stupid Facebook Messenger, 'cause people would rather chat while facebooking instead of having to open/close a window to do so (like it was a big fucking deal)

...Facebook. It's easiest for me to use. I remember Yahoo MSN having tedious loading waits.

Me, I'm still planning on deleting the damn thing. Just need to convince two or three people to quit with me so that I can fight the addiction.

Also, word of advice, never add any family members on Facebook if they don't know how to use it (like mine, embarassing me all the damn time)

Both my parents use it all the time and both know how to use it. My mom loves playing Bingo and puzzle games on it too.

Oh that's better, no one's gonna comment "????????" or misinterpret completely if you post some kind of internet joke or something.
