Hopefully, no one's made a topic of this yet.

So do any of you act differently outside of Court-Records or any online forum, social media, etc?

Well, let's see...

I'm much more oblivious IRL. Sometimes I'm just unaware of what's going on or just plain forget stuff really easily. Hence why my most frequently used words IRL tend to be "Huh?" "What?" "Eh?" "Wait!"

Recently, I've gotten into a bad habit of falling asleep. It's like I've turned into a male version of Cammy Meele. I also have a bad habit of thinking out loud (I think it's even translated into my text as shown here).

If you were with me at school, you'd probably think I'm antisocial, but I'm just shy and a kind of a workaholic.

I also hate to admit it, but sometimes I have a surprisingly short-temper, but it's usually only at school.

When Blak isn't Blak online, Blak is Kary in the real world. Kary likes to buy anime figurines off the Internet like no tomorrow. Kary's running out of shelf space, so he'll need to do something about it. Kary acts a lot like Blak at work. But when he's over at his school, he's pretty anti-social cause he's going to community college to transfer to a 4 year. No point in really dealing with people he's not going to care about. Kary likes long walks on the beach (not really), and he likes anime. So in conclusion, Blak is Kary offline and Blak online. Essentially they're the same person, but they've just got different names.

In conclusion, I pretty much act the same I do here in real life. Minus the infatuation with boobs. Cause that'll get me physically abused.
I'm Blak, and I have shit taste.

I'm much more quiet when I'm outside in public by myself. Overall, I try to be more polite when I'm outside - like, at work or similar, I try to show my best sides. Although that only works for so long before the mask crumbles.
At work, I'm mostly a no-nonsense person and want to get my job done fast and properly. I'm sometimes so fast that people don't think I did it properly, although I did. Despite my best attempts, I also have moments where my mask crumbles there and I show how sick I am of that place and just want to get home - generally when I've worked too long and had to do pointless things.
I also don't get into discussions with other people as much as I do online, mostly because I don't know that many people who have the same interest as me.

I hope you can see why I prefer to be at home. :redd:

Well, I can definitely relate to you on some points, albeit for slightly different reasons. :phoenix:

Maybe I'm just not looking hard enough, but I can't find a lot of people at my high school who have the same interests as me. That's why I think Court-Records is like a comfort zone to me, I can always find someone I can relate to!

I'm also mostly quiet in public because either I have nothing to add to a discussion or I just don't wanna say something I might regret.

Also I love staying home (where I am right now, btw) because I enjoy being with my parents and I'm somewhere where I don't feel awkward and out of place.

When I am Heather I live boxed in a military base feeling like a caged bird with where I always have to please everyone else, my only source of fun is videogames and animation.

When I am Emiko Gale I feel like I unlock my true self.

(But you already know that Gnoby.)

While VCM appears to be calm, smart and careless online, Victor is actually not that smart and cares (in most senses of the word) too much about stuff. Also, he's hyperactive with anger issues and only talks to people he knows. And he plays soccer. (I don't think I've ever played an online soccer game except for multiplayer FIFA 13)

(Yep, I sure do Em.)

If I could use a similar metaphor to describe me...

When I'm Emmanuel, I feel like I'm my true self, every good and bad aspect of my personality with nothing to hide. Though I'm generally a nice guy, I still get frustrated or mad too easily, and I'm not exactly open about my opinions or feelings. I also become rather cynical and negative about life whenever hard times hit. I feel ashamed of my bad aspects or what only I consider to be bad.

So I have Gnobo as my mask. I try to personify my good side and the kind of person I aspire to be outside of the mask. I want to be selfless and encouraging to others, have a brighter and more hopeful view on life, and be willingly open about my feelings.

I never thought my soulmate was a male person.

Just kidding. But this section does describe me 100%.

I'm just joking. ^^; (sort of.)

I try not to ship real people because I have had bad experience with self proclaimed matchmakers. Once there was a rumor started about me about me having a crush on a senior at the age of 18 just because we were acting like love interests on stage. @_@

And then people accused me of being bi just for being a tomboy...

When the TopHatProfessor takes off his hat, he becomes Oliver. Oliver usually sits in his dark room at night wondering where his life went wrong. :gregory:

Just kidding. Sort of. Maybe... :godot:

In real life, though, I'm constantly disappointed with humanity time and time again. I hate the state of the world right now, and just the overall amount of stupidity from some people out there. I'm pessimistic by nature, and usually a critic. I've had a tough life (though compared to most people in the world, mine probably looks like one of luxury), and I can't stand where I'm living now or the school I have to go to. I've have very few friends, and the one's I do have; I hardly see because we have different schedules. Most people see me as annoying, obnoxious, loud, and negative. Perhaps that's because they're too blind and immature to see the real problems out there and can't understand what I'm going through. I put on a fake happy face so I'm not completely disliked, and it usually works. When I leave school, I go back to who I am normally. So I watch movies, play video games, write, and read to distract me from it all. The internet has taught me that there are far more interesting and nice people outside where I live.

I have no regrets, though. My life may be difficult, but going through it all has given me the knowledge, intelligence, experience, and a world view that I wouldn't have gained otherwise. It could be better, but every time I complain; I realize that my problems mean nothing compared to what our world's facing right now.

So yeah, the dark room analogy might not be too far off figuratively speaking. :yuusaku:

Hmmm, I think I may have found my soulmate. Except I do try to be positive sometimes because negativity isn't sexy. (At least not to me.) Regardless of me hating the world sometimes and having a dark past and there are sometimes where it just feels like I always end up with the short end of the stick...I do indeed enjoy living.

In the past I was verbally abused, and I was always stuck with the most ignorant people and it didn't matter if I was more adult than some of the adults I was forced to be around, because it felt like the arrogant always get the last laugh.

I think it's alright to act positively if it's within logical reason. Blind optimism isn't a good thing. For instance, this week hasn't been a very great one for the world. Bombings at marathons, exploding factories, and killer earthquakes; it's as if this week is cursed. Today's also Hitler's birthday and the day of the Columbine High School Massacre. This is also the same week Abraham Lincoln was assassinated and when the Titanic sank, so yeah. :sadshoe:

I feel exactly the same was as you do with my life and I've been through similar situations. The world is a messed up place, but I haven't completely given up on it. Every time you see a horrific accident, there will always be people out there trying to help. As long as there are people like this, our cowardly species may still be able to survive.

As for being soulmates, I've already met mine and she's on Court Records too! I was really depressed before I met her, but she completely changed my life! The only problem is that she lives in England and I live in the US, so it could be many years until we actually meet. We email each other every day though. Think about it, if I had never gotten interested in Ace Attorney; I would have never joined the forum site and met her. I'm so glad that I did. :will:

I've always been rejected by girls throughout my entire life, but she's different. She truly cares and loves me; and that makes me so happy. We have the exact same interests, and I can truly say that she is my soulmate.

Nice meeting you by the way! I look forward to seeing you on Court Records! :godot:

Not sure if you'll agree with me on this but I believe that God is in control of everything that goes on in the world. Sure things'll get really bad, but I believe that He'll always have a plan to make things better.

Awwwww! You found your soulmate here? That's sweet! Stinks you two live so far apart.

Honestly, I'm unsure if finding a soulmate online is the best thing for me. But hey, who knows what kind of fish I'll find out in the sea?

Or, you could not worry so much about romance and just love yourself as a person first. There are gifts you get for being single too...Sure, I didn't get a sapphire necklace and earrings for being single but...You'll understand.

(Note: Sapphire is not my birthstone I was born in Augest, I just like sapphires because blue is my favorite color.)

I could do that too.

I'm pretty sure I won't be finding any romance any time so soon, so I might as well enjoy being single for as long as I can. I'm sure eventually I'll find a healthy relationship, but probably not while I'm still in high school.

Gifts?

And do you still wear them?

I can't even picture a girl spending that kind of money just to get me a gift. Whatever, I won't worry about it.

It was only around $100 dollars...Now if he bought me something pricier I would feel uneasy. (Then again, I have known him since I was 14.) Yes, I still wear it...

I always wanted to turn the tables and give a boy flowers, since I think it would be cute and I love fake flowers. And since the dollar shop sells fake flowers I'll know where to go.

Edit: I can be so tomboyish sometimes that I sometimes act more like a guy, but I swear to God I am not transgender.

Only $100? To me that's still a big chunk of money for just a gift. Maybe I'm just not use to spending a whole lot of money or people spending a lot of money on me.

I can't even begin to think of what to give a girl except maybe flowers, chocolate, or whatever everyone else gives. I feel like being a little more creative with gifts for girls if I ever do plan on giving gifts.

I wasn't even thinking you were a transgender. Your picture was enough to convince me you're 100% female.

At least you got general ideas...I hang out with mostly guys and I still don't know what makes them tick, I don't even know what guys like for gifts.

Well...Except, my other ex boyfriend who is a brony. He was a bit of a "tomgirl" he likes stuffed animals.

But the ex boyfriend I keep mentioning to you won't accept gifts...

I like anime figurines. *hint hint nudge nudge wink wink*
Figmas are preferably my favorite.

Don't forget about video games! I might need a new copy of Metroid Prime since my old one's gone missing. *wink wink nudge nudge*

(It looks like your not the only one I've been copying a lot huh, Em?)

D'oh! I never thought of thay because video games are pricey. And the guys I know are usually into first person shooters.

And I'll keep that in mind. Soon I'll have a bank account and money to burn.

I kind of went through a Call of Duty phase, especially because of my dad who bought every single game from Modern Warfare 1 to Black Ops 2.

But then I just started to realize how same-y the series felt with every entry and just sort of stopped playing them. I still have them on my shelf, though I don't know if I'll replay them any time soon.

I fixed that for ya. Seems like you're outta the loop on games. No wonder you're not a generous person. Bitch.
*cough* Ahem. I'm into a lot of games. From RPGS to shooters to Visual Novels I can pretty much play stuff. Well except sports games cause they's boring. I don't like real-life sports, nor do I like fake-real-life sports.

Same here. I could never get into sports games. However I do like watching real-life sports from time to time. Usually baseball or football.

Fun fact: A few days ago I found out my ex wasn't an RPG person at all, le gasp! :( First he won't play Starfox with me and now he won't play Ace Attorney with me.

I love real life baseball and Mario baseball.

But I suck at real life baseball...However when I played baseball with my friends during my sophmore year we sucked so bad it was actually hilarious. ^^;

But... Ace Attorney isn't an RPG....

I hated playing sports as a kid. In elementary school I was always THAT kid that had problems catching the ball when we played kickball. It was horrible. I was always more of a music person than a stupid sports person.

If you can call Cross Country, Bowling, and Track & Field sports, than yes, I do play a lot of sports.

I did play basketball once during middle school, though half the time I was on the bench, and only sometimes I'd make a shot when I was on the court.

Edit: I think you already know this, Em, but I'm also a musical person. I'm a part of my school's choir and I'm a low bass.

(years later) Hey, I'm straight.

I think I'm a part of the very selective group of people that practice sports and plays videogames (and I mean real games. Fuck Call of Duty) and I'm proud of it. I owe 95% of my english to videogames and the rest to music and the internet in general. I have had english classes from ages 7 to 17 but I never gave a horse's ass to it, I wasn't born to learn things theoretically.

*country guitarist starts playing*

Someone gave me a hint y'all wanted to hear the tale, 'bout a guy, who shades the sky, who makes them ladies wail.

This guy here, stands seven feet, and weighs 'lmost half a ton, and let me tell ya, when he talks, he's brighter than the sun.

But just who is this guy? Well let me tell you what I can,
Just sit tight, I'll tell it right, I'll tell the tale of E MAN!

Chorus

E-Man,
E-Man!

Well when E was born, he was given birth from just a stone.
They found that moustached baby just a happy on his own.

He-

Eww country music. Damn right you better get off the stage. I'm more tolerant of folk songs.

Have you heard the tale of Sailcat?

In real life...I think I have a split personality. On one side I'm quite a shy, quiet person, who doesn't talk to anybody other than my friends. When I'm talking to them, however, I can be more myself. That's when I am most like how I act on Court Records.

However, my other personality is a more sadistic, loud type. If someone annoys me, I usually end up hitting them with my bag and won't stop until they apologize... Yep, that happened. (^^;) I actually prefer this side to my personality, as it makes me care less about about things, which takes away a lot of the stress from school.
