Post subject:  Talents?
So, what are your talents? The odder the better.

Mine's memory. :welly: I have a scarily good ability to look at things and remember them off by heart. I memorised the school timetable in under a week- and that was when we all had different classes. Most of my friends came to me for their timetable. >>;'
It helps a lot with revision, though I do sometimes seem like a complete swot in class (especially in Psychology) when I just quote everything off the top of my head before the teacher finishes asking a question.
In that vein, I can recite London and The Garden Of Love by William Blake perfectly. And there's been a couple of songs I've learned before I even finished hearing them for the first time (One Love by Blue comes to mind).

That isn't really odd, but definitely my main one.

Oh, and I can roll my eyes in the back of my head, but it gives me a headache.

Uhh...I guess that I'm good at music, since I can play piano && violin at grade 5 && 6, Ima music and acadamic scholar (can do maths at a year 11 level) and have a IQ of 135 now that I'm 11.

And I'm extremly good at sleeping and eating and can finish games in about 3 days (lol I spent 4 days to master pokemon diamond and a week polishing those badges)

Edit: And I'm good at getting lost. No sense of direction = Excuse to skip lessons!!! XDDD

Oh man, what am I not good at? I'm a freaking real life Mary Sue, only I'm actually charismatic. I more or less fall into the definition of "purest, pure, awesome piece of genius". Languages, social skills, cognitive skills, concepts, anything! I'm a quick learner and thrive on learning itself.

I'm not only a genius, and I can not only play more instruments than zu, but I'm great at everything I do. Name some talent and I could kick your ass at it. Especially you. Zu.

I also categorize subjects by their Dewey Decimal numbers... In my head. It's pretty useless except at work.

Well, I'm the best video game player at my school. No one has beaten me yet! Well, except one time when someone beat me in Mario Kart. Lucky...

I'm also very smart, and I usually excel in my classes. However, I have a almost complete lack of common sense (Two times I thought that my class was in one floor, but it was in another), and I have a very short attention-span (I just stare into deep space sometimes, even during class!).

This may not be relevant, but back when I was in elementary school, I used to be able to hold my hands from behind my back and bring my arms over my head. I miss my double jointedness...

my IQ was 130 when I was 11.. lolz I tested my IQ recently and it was 135 (I'm 12 now)

Talents? In school I'm on something that's called "the Gifted and Talented" so that's gotta count for something. I'm pretty good at everything straight away but I never seem to improve too much. Oh and I'm pretty good at Smash Bros. which even though video gaming isn't a talent, Smash Bros. is.

I've been told I'm a good writer! I'd post some of my short stories but I'm scared of your opinions. ;_; Oh and writing poems

I'm an artistic jack-of-all-trades. I love music, drawing, writing, and drama, and I'm fairly good at each, but I'm not sure I really excel in any of those.

This has become something like a bragging topic. Wish I had more to brag about...umm...lets see...I play lead 1st violin in a orchestra whos youngest member (apart from me) is 16. And I'm good at playing from ear so I can play almost all the phoenix wright tunes. One of my best talents is badminton and basketball(took a lot of practice but can now shoot 9/10 baskets!!!)And...thats it.

That's, like, the ONE thing that I can do that most people can't and someone's already posted iiiiiit... >.<

So yeah; I can alphabetize things quickly and know the Dewey Decimal System by heart.
I'm okay at things relating to animals; I know a fair few classifications (I like Latin names of things) and can identify virtually all birds and mammals found on the British mainland.

I'm okay at some other random stuff, but it's certianly not anything special.
I'm okay at school (got 3A*s, 5As, 2Bs and a C at GCSE, if that means anything to you), but I probably have a really low IQ because I'm absolutely atrocious at mental maths. I can't do basic addition or multiplication without counting on my fingers out loud. It's actually quite embarassing.

I'd say my main talent is art. Oh how I love to draw. And do other art-related things, like sculpting, crafting & stuff. I have been told I'm a good actress, too, but acting makes me very embarrassed, especially if it's in front of a camera and not a live audience. (I don't have stage fright; I have camera fright. Uck.) I've also been told I have mad writing skillz, but I'm very self-critical, so I dunno if I can really believe that. o_O

I'm very flexible. I can put both my feet behind my head at the same time, and I'm fine with sitting in positions most would find uncomfortable.

I also learn very, very quickly. I can't say it's photographic memory, because I'm very forgetful; but as for logical facts and concepts, I learn those in a flash. Reviews at school greatly annoy me, and I've never had to study for a test in my life, unless it involved very strict definitions and numbers. (Example: I've recently had a test in which I was asked to define the term "Epic Hero". I knew what that was as a concept, but I couldn't remember the definition our teacher gave us.)

Also, languages. I'd say I learn them quickly, I guess that ties in with my learning concepts easily. Vocabulary is no problem to me, foreign or not.

It may seem that I have a lot of talents, as a lot of people tell me, but trust me, my quirks and manias balance it out quite evenly. I'm a mad genius, I guess. Talents... let's start with my normal ones.

Acting: My acting skills have improved greatly after reading "Now You See Her". I don't know why but the main character constantly bragging about how great she is made me strive to become a better actress.

Dancing: I got picked for a select dance break at camp. I used to take dancing lessons.

Singing: I can sing but everyone else can sing better than me.

Writing: I have a knack for writing... nuff said.

Let's go to some odder talents:

Bending my thumb back: I can bend my thumb back pretty far (without the assistance of my other hand). I've only met one person who can bend it back father (with the assistance of his other hand).

Broadway: I know practically everything about Broadway; mostly Hairspray (I've seen it the most times).

* I'm good at noticing things that are odd that nobody else really thinks about. If this is a talent or not is negotiable.
* I'm pretty good at drawing, and I do pretty well in writing fiction.
* I'm a brilliant liar. Though I don't often really use it, since I tend to be a rather honest, straight-forward person. Like most people are two-faced, and that's not a nasty thing - I mean just people act differently around different people, but I can't really do that and just act the same wherever I am. ^^;
* I tend to do well in lessons with ease, though often I like to put quite a bit of effort in for exams and stuff so I can just bump it up as high as I can, though I'd honestly pass without trying a good portion of the time.
* I'm very very good with words. Like I can just talk in haikus and rhyme from the top of my head and I can define words a lot of my peers don't know. Despite this, I've always had pronunciation problems xDD

talents? umm...basketball, rugby, 3 instruments, all above grade 6, I'm not much of a singer (okay, I'm rubbish at it, one note will send you running into the next country) but I can compose pretty good music, I'm good at maths, got 98/100 in my SATS(It's not like I've taken any other major tests, I just started year 7!) and whenever I take a new IQ test, its ranges from 130-155(I'm 11 btw)

hmm I don't think I'm really great at anything in particular..... at least not like the rest of you ^^'

There's only one weird thing I can think of, and that'd be the fact that I automatically link all my memories to scents, feelings and sounds so much that sometimes when I just smell something I think of an event or a person or anything like that right away, even when it's been ages ago, and those memories are frightingly accurate ^^'....

Oh and I'm an extremely good liar, good at pretending and acting as if I'm a complete fool, and good at hiding things...which I'm everything but proud of. But it's helpful, people will underestimate me that way and I like it that way, gives me the ability to strike in defense more easily since they don't think much of me. Other than that I just lie unintentionally and act my life together all the time I guess..^^"

Wait, I thought piano starts with grade 13. Because I saw my examination paper and it says I'm at the 11th grade. :sadshoe:
