| Post subject: | How did you first get into Phoenix Wright? |
I wanted to get Phoenix Wight since it came out, but I choose to get trauma center instead. I finally bought Phoenix Wright on my trip to New York, and I have became hooked ever since. (I even have Phoenix Wright background on my computer.) What's your story?

Um, isn't this susposed to be in the Defendants Lobby? Anyways, I got into it from Gamepro. And then when I got into it, I lurked on this site, and then went playasia for importing Phoenix Wright games. |

I read about it in a game magazine, and always kind of wanted it, but there was one problem.... I didn't have a DS yet and my mom refused to let me buy one ^^' by the time I finally got a DS as a present one day it was no longer in stores (seeing the Netherlands can suck quite badly when it comes to games^^") so I didn't get it, but have still always sort of been on the lookout for it. Jibo made me want it very badly again though ^^' so, when I was with him this summer, I saw it, and bought it, and have been in love with it ever since <3 ^.^ |

I got my DS in August and bought a few games second hand, didn't buy PW at that point but I read the blurb severals times then bought it on ebay for a fiver less yay! It would have totally claimed my life if I didn't have so much homework I might have finished it by now! I wanna get on to JFA! x |

Cause I saw the "Objection" picture. And Imma like "That's funny, olol".Then someone said something about a game named phoenix wright where you get to yell objection in the mic. So I went to gamestop and bought it. And I got addicted. |

I had read about the 1st game in a magazine, I wanted more manga-y looking games on my DS, I had finished & LOVED Another Code (aka Trace Memory)........ so yeah, I bought it thinking nothing much, but ended up being engrossed & adoring it O_O Then JFA came out...... I loved it EVEN MORE! OoO Franziska..... OMG...... OMG Franziska...! Sooo glad I decided to buy the 1st game 8D |

I saw pictures and icons on LiveJournal and on fandom_wank. They intrigued me, and when I heard it referred to as the "gay lawyer game," well, I had to see just how true it was. After all, I played Tales of the Abyss, and after seeing Guy, Luke, and Jade (not to mention Legretta and Tear), I figured nothing would be gayer than that. Oh how wrong I was. It wasn't the gay that hit me right away, though. It was the characters. The way it was set up. I was hooked even before Edgeworth showed up. Then I heard about Franziska, and knew I'd love her even before playing the game. I'm a sucker for strong women. |

I guess I had been hearing about references to Phoenix Wright for a long time. I heard about the Phoenix Wrong videos from a friend, but I forgot all about it. Then someone I know on the internet got obsessed with the game... But I ignored her o_O And I heard about the references in Haruhi Suzumiya, and I ignored those too. And a friend of mine kept referencing the games, but I had no idea what she was talking about. ...Then another friend of mine (known here as xfma_addictx) started obsessing and saying she should get the Phoenix Wright games, and then I bought my DS from her. Then a while later she got Justice For All and I watched over her shoulder for all of 3 seconds, but truly I didn't really care.Then I went to the store and I saw they had Phoenix Wright there, and I thought, "Well it can't hurt to try". Instantly hooked XD It's actually slightly more complicated than that, but I didn't want to bore you with details :P |

i saw a couple of videos on youtube from the guy who started the "OVER 9000!!!!" joke, http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=Kajetokun . Anyway, one of his videos used an "objection" next day, i found the game discounted on the shelf, bought it, and have been in love ever since. |

A couple of months back, a friend of mine showed me some Phoenix Wrong videos. And they really made me chuckle. When she got it for the D.S., I was kinda like, "Oh, that one game." And she kept telling me how awesome it was. Come round July, I bought a D.S. off of another friend who wanted a Lite. So then I borrowed the game from the first friend. INSTANT HOOK. |

I had a friend on LJ who was a huge fan of Phoenix Wright. It looked interesting, so one day when Dad took me to Best Buy, I saw Phoenix Wright and said, "Let's buy this!". He asked me why, and I replied, "My friend who likes Viewtiful Joe likes this." So then we bought it and I started playing it immediately. It was fun! ...And I've been addicted ever since. |

I...don't remember, I remember seeing JFA on sale at Gamestop, but I ignored it for another game. I eventually gave in and looked up a few things. I wanted to see what a case was really like so I looked on youtube. There was only one-GS3-1 fan-translated. I watched it all the way through, saw trailers, spoiled the ending for JFA. I searched everywhere to see if it was still in stock. I finally found it, before summer 2007 for $20. I bought it, played it, and adored it. I searched for the sequel everywhere, when I found it in July 2007, at circuit city and played JFA with not as much pleasure. I've pre-ordered it and am waiting patiently for it as I write. |

The original title was getting a lot of hype on GameFAQs, but I never bothered to look into it until the second game came out, I imported the dual language version of Justice for All, found it to be rather average, yet interesting. So I decided to pick up the original... I was hooked ever since. |

Was watching TechTvG4 at the time and it was around E3 and all I saw was "OBJECTION!". Thought it was hilarious and I had to play it. Got it when there was a major shortage of the 1st game, but got a copy through Gamefly and was hooked. -Rufus |

I know this sounds cheesy, but i was always liked solving crimes, so when i saw a game where i could do that i was like, "Oh my god!" I saw Phoenix Wright and i thought, "Wow, this looks awesome!" I thought they were having giggles about Oldbag's name though... |

my friend had it and i played the first case and really enjoyed it then he wudnt let me do the 2nd case since i was already hooked i thought fine ill buy it myself and saw it for about £25 so i bought it and been hooked since then got jfa now currently awaiting t&t |

My friend was playing it, and I was like, whats that? and he said its a lawyer game... I was like  then he made me play the first case, and I was hooked (I still think they slip drugs in it the make it addictive)

I was going close shopping at the mall, looking for jeans. We've got a gamestop down here, so I went in and looked around, waiting for JC Pennys to open. I caught sight of both AA and JFA on the shelf and took a look. I thought it was interesting, asked the clerk which one was the first game, bought AA and began to play it while still waiting. I was immediatly hooked by the first trail. Weeks later, I came back and got the second one. Now I await the third one with great anticipation |

Years before it came out in the US a friend of mine used a Phoenix avatar on another forum I go to. I asked what it was, and he was all " Gyakuten Saiban the best series ever" and I followed news of it until it came out. |

I hadnt heard about it at all until I watched the Phoenix Wrong Parodies and I guess I got into the games after i got justice for all the weird thing was i got Justice for All before Ace Attorney but now i have both and looking forward to Trials and Tribulations ^^ |

It's funny though, now Phoenix Wright is spreading among my friends like a crazy virus. I bring my DS to school, and even it they only play the first 3 seconds of the first case, they're hooked. I believe your drug theory is right. |

There are two people who I haven't been able to hook. One is my friend, let's call her Wing, who thinks the characters aren't bishiful enough, and although she lives for yaoi, can't see any subtext in the game at all. The other is my friend Johnathan, who is already obsessed with Digimon, and doesn't want another obsession to interfere with his studies. He seems to enjoy analyzing the spread of the PW virus, though. (He reminds me of a male Ema sometimes...) |

My older brother lent it off his friend... for ME! He knew I was interested (game magazines made that so) and asked his friend to borrow it before we went on holiday. I beat the first two cases from when I got it till before we went to bed and then on the car journey I beat Case 3. And I beat the other two cases while I was there! Yay! |

I got into it because a friend of mine on another forum I go to started playing it. When I heard that it was a game about lawyers, I was all "Pfft. Lawyers. Whatever." THEN she said it was the Ghey Lawyer Game.  I HAD to play. So, I went to Amazon and bought the first game. By this time, I had already watched Phoenix Wrong, and even read a few fanfics. I was addicted BEFORE I got the game. A couple of days later, I ordered the second one. This all happened about....a month and a half ago. I've preordered T&T. I usually don't preorder, but I wanted the  plushie.
