I was painting my nails and ended up wondering how many people end up wearing makeup (whether you count painting your nails or not).

Personally, I don't wear much makeup. I sometimes wear mascara, foundation and eyeliner, but not very much- if I had a better eyeliner pencil, I might do it more :gant:

But I don't normally have enough time in the morning to put on makeup, so I normally go au naturale.

How about you? Do you wear makeup? Do you think it looks good?

I put on perfume sometimes when I'm sweaty or smell like a goat or just for fun, which isn't really make-up. I rarely paint my nails since I heard it makes you nails crisp. I on the most rare occasions ever, will you see me on with lipstick. I like it better natural. I'm ~~hairy~~furry everywhere but I don't plan to shave, not even my legs. Only under my arms. Or pluck it. An I pluck my eyebrows so it's not as furry. And I don't dye my hair. Thought I wish I could. Well, I could. But I don't want to don't want to, but want to at the same time. I want to dye it red, like the bright red and some dark red, not the orange red that some people have. But i don't want to keep doing it and washing my hair with chemicals. And I want to try wearing coloured contacts for once. Maybe change my eyes red for Halloween or something. But I don't know how to take 'em out. And since contacts, I don't think, kill your body severely in any way, I'll do it. Not like make-up kills me up I don't like putting it on, and washing it all off and disappointed that I'm actually really ugly. But I am actually really ugly. And furry.

When I was in high school a wore a lot more makeup, full eye liner and a mascara and stuff every day. That's too much work now. I literally roll out of bed, go to work out, go back home, shower, put on some moisturizer, brush my hair and teeth, put on some little kid clear strawberry flavored lip balm, and call it beautiful.

If I go out at night, I'll put on some mascara and a bit of eyeshadow. I try not to put foundation or anything on my skin because it always looks wrong.

I don't paint my fingernails often because the nail polish chips off so fast due to my job. I do paint my toenails though. It makes me happy to take off my shoes and socks at the end of the day and have outrageously colored toenails.

I think some people benefit from wearing makeup, especially if they know how. I'd rather go without it though and think most people who have yet to get old (and wrinkly and uneven skin toned and stuff) look better without it.

Does lip-gloss and lip-balm count? Because those are the only things I use. I would use nail polish, but my nails are too sensitive.

I used to be unable to face the day without foundation, powder and a mascara/blush/eyeliner combo. Then I got over it. These days I rarely wear it at all, even for work, but I do still paint my nails in summer (unless I've been biting them) and can scrub up nice for special occasions. SO I don't regret teenage years of spending ages experimenting with colour and practicing applying it (not to mention a brief period of mild gothery that taught me how to use black cosmetics cleverly).

I do spend money on good daily moisturisers though and always have. Now I'm getting to be the age I'm grateful to myself that I did :)

Oh here's a tip from an oldie - always buy the best you can possibly afford if you're looking for foundation and powder. The rest can come from anywhere, but if it's gonna sit next to your skin for most of the day, make it good stuff. Do the beauty counters if necessary rather than the drug stores.

Your skin will thank you for it in time. And NEVER go to sleep with makeup on no matter how drunk you are :)

never worn make up. seen no point, plus messes up your pores and all that rubbish. mainly have no time or skill in wearing it. I do use moisturisers and sun cream tho.

Yup...I'm pretty sure I'd be chased off the streets if I didn't have any make up on. Then again, I don't wear as much as most people I know...just concealer, foundation, eye shadow and occasionally mascara. It does take me an hour to get ready in the morning, but most of that is used trying to get my hair to not make me look like a member of The Beetles. <_<

I only wear lipstick when I have to, such as important events like weddings or job interviews. Otherwise, I hate wearing makeup. I don't have the time for it. My family keeps telling me to wear it though and that gets annoying. I do put on lotion after I wake up and go to sleep though.

The point is that it's quite offensive to insinuate that transsexuals are are ugly simply because they're transsexual. How many transsexuals do you know that are bulky or have facial hair? Most transsexuals are nigh-indistinguishable from cisgender folks.

? Did I imply that he was transsexual? More like I implied he wasn't being sensitive to transsexuals. "Tranny" is a derogatory term, and he used it in a derogatory way. That's all there is to it.

I never wear makeup. I think it's kind of a waste of time. The only thing I'll wear sometimes when I go out is eyeliner on the bottom lid when I'm really tired and don't wanna look it :oops:

And of course, I'll wear eyeshadow and mascara (and maybe some really natural looking pink lipstick) if I really have to, like if I have to take photos or if it's a really special occasion, like a wedding or something, but I'll NEVER wear foundation or blush. I think it looks fake and I hate it. But that might be because my skin tone is kind of uncommon (some native roots on my father's side) and everything is always either too pale or too dark. But even if I found the right color, I wouldn't wear any cause I think a skin tone that's too even doesn't look right, and I HATE the feeling of makeup on my face. And removing it is kind of a pain too, especially mascara.

I don't use any moisturizer either. I suppose people use it cause their skin tends to get dry, but mine is the total opposite, and moisturizer would only make it worse. Besides, any good dermatologist that's not just trying to sell you stuff will tell you that the less you put on your face the better.

Also, I never understood girls that wore makeup in highschool. And now they're wearing it in elementary school apparently? :eh?:

I just don't get it. I NEVER wore makeup to school, not even in college. It just seems so... unnecessary. I mean, you're there to learn, not to have people tell you you have pretty eyes. :yuusaku:

yesh I do, although I have a very pale skin naturally and don't mind it really, actually I rather like it ^^' things I wear often are eyeliner and mascara, although I won't start screaming when someone sees me without any (honestly, I know people who do... "oh no you can't see me without make-up on!!"... I find that a little... too...much.. ^^") it usually depends on my mood and where I'm going really, when I feel like it I mess with my make-up, simply cause I like escaping myself in a way (plus I'm very fantasy-minded... and I will draw on my skin when bored) I sometimes paint my nails if I find the patience to, and very rarely you'll see me with lipstick, and perhaps eyeshadow, although not the colorful kind... it just looks too off on my face ^^" although the occasion must be really special for that to happen anyway, I'm more a person for quality, not quantity ^^'

Only on stage (because I have to or I would look like a ghost, lol) or maybe some colored lipgloss if I'm feeling girly. I'm happy with the face I was born with and my boyfriend thinks I am beautiful. :kissy:

I used to jsut wear eyeliner but in the past coupe of years or so I've taken to wearing a full face of makeup every day. When I don't wear it people tell me I look ill ^^;

I like to wear it anyway, I'd feel self-conscious all day if I didn't I spend at least 15 minutes a day applying it but I don't reapply it through the day. I'm super pale too, I have to wear ivory concealer/foundation and super blend it in, no blusher or it stands out like a clown >.<

The only time I ever take my nail varnish off is to put another colour on. The dark colours and remover have stained my nails yellow so I can't bear to not wear it another. I don't mind so much, my nails are usually some variation of bright red. I've got a french manicure atm but it takes so long to apply and so much effort too.

I've always worn a lot of eye makeup, my eyelashes are always a work of art lol I like to experiment with different coloured eyeliners, occasionally I'll wear a little grey eyeshadow. My lips are quite pink anyway so I don't generally use lipstick, always carry some sort of gloss or balm on me though.

I went through the goth stage too. I have lots of vampy shiz and enough black eyeliner to last a lifetime ^^
