I got Phoenix Wright 3 yesterday, and I didn't have the willstrength to put it down, so when I played while walking home. Unfortenatly, it rained. A lot. And even though I didn't notice any diffrence when I came home, it got problematic in the evening. The Sound started to turn it self down, and today it has gone away completely. I have placed it over my heater to dry up any water that would be inside, but it made no effect. What should I do?

Nope, it's a couple of years old now, and the warranty has run out ages ago.

I had the same thing happen to me a while back when I accidently dropped my DS into a sink filled with water.

Here are the directions I got from Nintendo when I called the,:
Open the DS and remove everything you can incudling game cards, battery cover, and the battery. Leave it near an open window open and upside down (bottom up) over night. Then wait an extra day or two without putting anything back yet. Then, all the water should have dried out and it should be fine.

However, since you attempted to dry it on the heater, you may have heated up the water inside and damage if not completely fried the speakers. if so, buying a new DS is your only option.

I don't believe the speakers are the problem, I think it is something inside the DS itself that regulates the sound that's gone high wire...

While I did metion the speakers, anything in the DS could have been damage/fired which leads to from putting the DS with wet inside on a heater to creating you current problem.

No more heaters, OK? Just let it air out for another day or 2 and then try it again.

Oh, I didn't put in my heater. I put it over my heater, on a low level. It was more or less like using a blowdryer on it. It did get away some water damage on the touch screen without any problems, so I can't imagine anything getting fried...

If you can't get it fixed, just send it to Nintendo. Even without warranties, they're often fixing small parts of devices as part of thair service.

Oh silly me, I had forgotten about that, it works now.

...

Just kidding. My DS is still giving me the silent treatment, and I'm still crying inside. I put my DS upside down and hope for the best.
