Can't beleive the results tonight - Israel beating Russia means England still have a chance of qualifying - hurrah! :D
We only need a point on Wednesday - yes yes yes! :D :will:
Should still sack the Cabbage though.

I'm not a fan of soccer/football, but I don't understand how Israel is in the Euro Cupthingies... I mean, it's in Asia, not in Europe. I do understand Russia though, as it has a part of it on the European side or Eurasia.

I don't understand Israel playing in the Euros either as the country is not in Europe, but then neither are Azerbaijan and some of the Middle Eastern countries.
Hope we don't f*ck it up against Croatia...

It's because one fifth of Israel is populated by Europeans, mainly Jews. Israel is also heavily bashed by their Asian neighbours for historical reasons and the current Israel-Palestini conflict. Israel participates in various European competitions so the participants can feel more "safe".

And Azerbaijan is located in what some call "Euroasia".

Yeah I know. And EU would like Israel to be in Europe because of the religious aspect. It's like Greece is part of EU because of the cultural aspect. But still it's pretty strange they are at the Euro cup and Eurovision Song Contest.

Sorry for the off-topic.

Yeah but we SHOULDN'T have screwed it up. Why play Carson in goal, a guy who only had his 2nd cap? After it was 2-2 Hargreaves should of come on.

To be brutally honest, we've been crap for years. Hopefully this loss might actually show them that, so they can focus on improving instead of assuming that it'll just happen naturally.

And this is coming from some-one who doesn't watch the sport XD

TBH he should have been sacked even if we had qualified - terrible manager. But I'm happier we're starting again even though it will be hard watching without England :(
He was the FOURTH CHOICE of the FA FFS. If Scolari hadn't had 50 media men knocking on his door, he would have taken the job after Sven.

I knowwww >.>
The FA have to take some serious blame in this. They were the ones that hired him :yuusaku:
MacLaren shouldn't take all the blame. But I still have no sympathy for him.
