The game series created by Gainax and has never gotten an official English release, although I'm sure if you look around, you'll find some working version of Princess Maker 2 in English somewhere on the internet. *cough* A mixture of raising a girl by parameter raising, sometimes with combat and similar, quite a cute and fun little series.

Basically, in majority of the games you're a knight, or similar, and you have been given a daughter to raise from age 10 to 18, preparing her for live. The games always feature multiple endings, something like 50+ different ones and all have certain ranks on them. Some count as better than others, while some are terrible.

I've played Princess Maker 2 in English and Princess Maker 4 in Japanese. I'd love to play Princess Maker 3, but it doesn't seem to run on Windows 7... and Princess Maker 5 I currently don't have the money for getting it. And it currently seems to not be working correctly with some emulators...

Any of you played them or know about them?

I'm pretty sure this series inspired "Long Live The Queen".
