Hmmm...when I play Dance Dance Revolution, I always seem to hum at all the familiar songs. (Probably because I picked them in most of their series)

Im not really sure if anyone played KARAOKE REVOLUTION for the Playstation 2 right? (If you're too embarassed to sing with the microphone)

I love Karaoke Revolution! And I get many high scores on it too. I have a lot of pride in my singing. :edgy:

Yeah, I have this song by the Scissor Sisters stuck in my head because I played it on SingStar the other night... >_< And I love "Look to the Sky" from DDR.

Skype is a VoIP program which leads to fun times for all. Despite the great big price announcement on the front page, it's completely free to make PC-PC calls. It's the PC-landline/mobile calls which eat your money.

Wow, you DID hijack the thread. That sounds hilariously awesome, though.

...Also, I have the whole Bust-A-Groove soundtrack on my iTunes playlist. It's been 9 years since it came out. I sing along with the very few English parts...MAN, I'm lame.

(Also it's not a ryhthm/music game, but Katamari Damacy. How can you NOT.)
That apostrophe is preposterous! It's a preposterous apostrophe!

I've played it... I'm a pretty bad singer, I guess. >_> I know the words well, but I always fail the song. D:

Wow, a fan! - That's like the one game that nearly broke my thumb and analogue stick, alternately.

Gregorio III's was awesome. I mean, I think I liked most of the music in the game. At one point, I couldn't even do Flying-O's and Mojo King Bee, when I first bought it, so I kind of got used to listening to them continually. Lulz.

The last level track was alright. Kind of reminded me of Blur, for some weird reason. Epic.

That shit's so hard! 0_o But it's a cool game.

I saw some guy in an arcade while I was in Japan... He was so damn good, I couldn't even follow his hands with my eyes. They were too friggin' fast to see.

I know...the colored patterns can be such an outrage to survive! (Depends if the song is a fast one!)

You know, the Pop N' Music series are so dang popular in Japan that none of the series NEVER MADE IT OUT TO THE USA. (Not even a PLAYSTATION/PLAYSTATION 2 home version never made it out here either...quite sad I say)

There is also a rip-off version of Pop N' Music...its called "MUSIC CITY". I tried at a local arcade when I was 12 years old, (I was living in Guam at that time) instead of one player, it was two players and the songs suck in that game. (They were all composed of MIDI music)

Man guys. I finally got a good headset. Pretty comfey too, and the mic folds up so it doesn't get in the way when I don't need it. I like it lots.

I was all ready to jump on Skype and sing the Flash Gordon theme, but everybody is asleep and stuff. Way to be lame, it's only like, three in the morning for you losers too. Way to be weak.

P.S. Gitaroo Man is wicked.

I just got Taiko no Tatsujin DS the other day. I beat Hard mode within one hour... And using only one stylus. Believe it or not, this is my first Taiko no Tatsujin game, and the only thing remotely similar that I've played was Donkey Konga, over 2 years ago.

My first rhythm game was DDR, and I played that for about a year until I realized that it sucked, and that In The Groove was about 20 times better. So of course, I started playing In The Groove. I played a bit of Pump it Up, BeatMania, and Guitar Hero on the side.

I got into Ouendan almost exactly a year ago, and I mastered the hell outta that mofugga pretty quick.

So fellas, look here. If you've been playing DDR, quit it. Find an In The Groove machine and start playing that instead. Looks kinda like this.

Image

If you're wondering what's better about it, well. Better songs, most of them have Challenge steps which are usually harder than a basic 10-foot song on DDR, there are mods in the option menu that make the arrows spin, flip the target zone, and just a whole bunch of other crazy crap that you wouldn't believe till you saw, the scoring system is leagues better than most rhythm games(100% is the equivalent of a AAAA in DDR, 97%-99% is usually a AAA, but of course they don't use the same exact grade letters), "marvelous" is counted in every mode though renamed "Fantastic", the basic noteskin is beautiful(and 3-D if that counts for anything), the interface is better and actually tells you the ammount of steps, freezes, rolls(like a freeze, 'cept you gotta keep tapping to hold it), mines(don't stay on an arrow when this crosses it), jumps, and hands(3 or more arrows at once) there are in a song, difficulty ratings that go up to 13(a 10 in ITG is like a 10 in DDR), marathon courses with scripted mods, YOU CAN PLAY YOUR OWN STEPMANIA SONGS directly from your USB flashcard though there are obviously small limitations on the feature, and most importantly, the steps are great.

Long sentence, wow.

Yes, Taiko is pretty easy to pick up and play and not too difficult to master. But it's definitely a lot of fun and quite addicting. (Actually, I won a Taiko tournament at a con in Wisconsin... :edgy: ) It's even more fun to play in the arcade, though, because the drums are huge and a lot more responsive than the PS2 ones, plus they obviously don't move around on you.

May I recommend DDR Konamix for the Playstation? It's pretty old now, so it's nice and cheap, but it has many good songs on it...

And let's face it, one DDR is much the same as the next.
