Excellent series, and easilly one of my favorite point-and-click adventure series of the early '90s (although, Monkey Island and a few other more comedic titles take the cake).

Someone here besides me is bound to like the series.

I own VII and VIII.
Is it shameful to like VIII? It was the first I played o_O
It's different, but I still like it.
The art is so adorable in VII, and yet creepy..
But I should really find myself the old ones and get better acquainted!

You should. King's Quest VI is easily the best of the series (I've played it so many times, I can recite the order of the puzzles and plot perfectly), although, VII was also very good. I enjoyed the more cartoony art anyways.

And liking VIII isn't that bad of a thing. It was sort of a charming and engrossing game, although definitely not the best first person adventure game I ever played.

The only King's Quest game I played was V: Absence Makes the Heart Go Yonder! But I never managed to pass it. I got stuck on the snowy mountain. I regret I don't have this game any more too.

Another game by Sierra I had was Police Quest. I passed that in a week, no problem.

The only other point-and-click adventure I played was Legend of Kyrandia.

Well I didn't really play, I was around 5 or 6 when it came out O.o
I just watched my sisters play. The game has been lost for about 12 years now XD
But when I found videos of it on youtube I was smacked with the nostalgia stick.

I adore the series, have since I was but a little Calammy. Ema I'd have to say my favorites are definitely tied between V and VI. Such amazing games. <3

I adore point and clicks, and Sierra just did them right (between the Quest games, Laura Bow and Gabriel Knight series I could hype up classic Sierra aaaaaaaall day).

King's Quest one of the kings of point 'n click games... I have played games 1-6, but never actually completed any of them. Maybe sometime in the future.
