I've been playing this game lately, admittedly not expecting anything blockbuster. I'm glad to have been mistaken in that regard: six large levels in and it feels like a treat right now. The DS touch-screen is put to solid use here, with the changing of disguises throughout the game, and isn't something that one can argue "But buttons would work JUST as fine for that!": in other words, the right direction for the console.
Not to mention that it feels like a true, true platformer from the years of the SNES and Megadrive: the levels are pretty big and it can sometimes take nearly an hour if you're slow about the bush to solve things/go out to get all the treasures and mini-games. They even flake in a story too, which makes Wario all the more loveable: his games and himself were always the Bizarro Mario, but here I feel like he's truly come into his own.
So, does anyone else here like it, or feel free to discuss it further?
