Gawd, I HATED that. Burns should die and... um... burn. In hell. Stupid skin membranes. Although I think in Trauma Team growing skin is no longer necessary...? I hope so.

I think aneurysms have gotten a lot easier since the original UtK. I mean, there were a bunch of them in, like, the 11th operation or so, and it was practically impossible for me. Now they explode and it's really no big deal.

^Yeah, I guess aneurysms aren't so bad if they burst. It's just annoying. Especially if you have to treat twenty tumours while draining twenty pools of pus and healing 100 inflammtions. :grey: < What a fitting smiley.

And skin membranes are such a BIATCH.

BTW, the next set is a Tomoe set, but I was busy today so unfortunately it won't be up today. :sadshoe: Please look forward to it tommorow though!

Ohhh, I remember that operation where they mixed aneurysms and tumours. That was even worse than GUILT and Stigma. Never again. :shivers:

Tomoe is funfunfun to make graphics for, primarily because I have a crapload of Oriental brushes =D
If you have time, could you make a Derek one? I'm not sure if he's in Trauma Team (and I don't really want to know for spoilers), but it won't feel complete without it~

I think what you're looking for is here. Sibelius Scorch is a plugin.

Thanks, you're a lifesaver! I've been dying to play some Trauma Team tunes (it's too tedious writing it out by hand) and now I can get back to it :]

Anyways, I loooooved this game! To itty bitty pieces. Gabe and Maria were my favorites cause they're just such smartasses, hahah. <3

Speaking of Maria, a bit of fanart for the thread!
http://neostarfire55.deviantart.com/art ... -171465985

Maybe I'm just a music freak, but the songs that accompanied the explanations of Rosalia's story really did it for me. I love how there's not really a Big Bad in this game, that it was all just good intentions gone wrong... it makes it all the more tragic, though.

Also, beautiful fanart! -faves-

Unless they're going to re-voice over every single line, this is just... AGH. At least it's better than UtK2...

And, looking at the release dates now, does anyone know why NA got Trauma Team a month before Japan?

Well, I have worse news for you now.
Trauma Team is on no other site in the UK in the world.
Even the Nintendo website doesn't list it.
I recommend importing an american Wii, a copy of the game -
And the EU power supply works fine - just replace the wires and play.

I have no clue. Every person I know who draws can only draw girls and they fail at guys while it's often the other way around for me. Yeah, I dunno what it is them so hard for most people. But I mean, I can draw guys, it's just a lot more difficult for me and takes longer. Which sucks because I take forever to draw anyways xD But yeah, hopefully it won't take me TOO long. I'm working on it right now but apparently whenever I have a tablet pen in my hand this fatass cat feels compelled to get in front of the screen D;

I don't know, I think that it could get a release here. Considering it's on at least ONE major (?) site shows that it's possible. There are quite a lot of games which this happens too.

Anyways, finally finished Tomoe's set, sorry for the delay:

@MJ: I agree on Tomoe, for my design I even scanned in some nice origami paper I had. The lines sorta remind me of Tomoe's arrows zooming around the place. :keiko: If anyone is intrested, I'll add the kana for her name.

Anyway, as for the Derek sig, I think I might. It really depends if I have time. CR-S01 is next up, with Hank being the last. :phoenix:

Ah, I remember the first one *has it stored in archives* because IT'S NEVER LUPUS.

I'd never seen the second... "I DON'T WANT NO SAUSAGE FEST!".... I LOVE YOU, JUNPEI. <3

And about Cardia, I'm assuming people hate it for the last part where YOU HAVE LIKE, 5 SECONDS TO DRAW A STUPID STAR AND IF YOU'RE BAD AT IT LIKE ME YOU ASPLODE.... but that's just me.

Meh, I didn't find Cardia that hard, really - not even on hard mode. I think there was another operation that was much harder than it for me. The one where you had to treat two poor sods, one who'd gotten infected with both Soma and Cheir, and one with Soma and Onyx. I wanted to kill someone after that, particularly as I've never been good at figuring out how Cheir move. Damn loopy circles.
Although co-op makes all the operations a feckin' joke =D

And Trauma Team HAS to come out in EU. Well, if Play.com has it, I can get it anyway, even if I do have to wait 'til September. Stupid regionlocked Wiis...

I can't find the specific article right now but a couple days ago, I read about an interview around the time of the American release of Persona 4 where they mentioned the Trauma Center series as an example of games that do well in one area, but not the other. They said that the games didn't do so well in Japan, so it was their success in America that kept them coming out (I don't think they mentioned Europe, though O.o) so now my guess is that they release the games in America first because that's their most reliable market; I could be wrong though.

New Blood's co-op makes single mode a ridiculous concept. Some of those operations are so obviously made for two people and you don't get something special for passing it by yourself. It's a good thing I have Trauma Center buddies or I'd tear my hair out trying to do those operations.

Personally, I think a better option would be to hack your Wii, and install GeckOS... or is it GeckoOS... whatever. In any case, it's a free method to play imports. I used it to play the EU version of Another Code: R. In this case, all you need is the import game, as opposed to the import game and the import system.

And, I may be smoking something but doesn't NTSC have different video signal standards then PAL? I know for a fact that a US Wii will work fine with an EU power supply, but that's the extent of my knowledge.

Hm, that's really interesting. I always thought the Trauma Center games seemed a lot more American than Japanese at times - the overdramatic story, and definitely the comic-book style of Trauma Team.

I love New Blood's co-op mode. Playing co-op with my friend is always hilarious, because we continuously do things like try to kill Cardia whilst making sandwiches. To be honest, the only things that are difficult in co-op are the Challenge operations, and that's just because the two of us are somewhat obsessive and MUST RESCUE EVERY PATIENT. So I just use co-op to breeze through the operations I really detest (looking at you, Cheir).

It becomes so much more difficult and fun in single-player, though. Some of the operations that are ridiculous fun in single-player (I'm thinking Ops and Cardia in particular) become so easy in co-op. And I must say, X3 Ops single-player is my favourite operation in the game. It's just so CRAZY.

There was an increase in language? All I remember is lots of "shit" and "damn", which were in the other games and IMO shouldn't even be called "bad language". Aside from Maria, everyone else didn't use it that frequently anyways. And even if you were a doctor, would you say that if you saw a black bruise grabbing at an organ, bleed dripping out of the eyes, mouth and ears, and bombings going on every day? Atlus made the games much more dark and edgy compared to the UtK games. There everything was sci-fi styled, no one will get a ring of exploading tumors, for example. In Team, they gave a dark setting with a disease which could happen... maybe.
But hey, opinions are opinions.

Hmm, I can see the gripes some may have with the language (and TBH I think Trauma Team slipped a lot of things under the radar to keep that Teen rating) and it's true, maybe they should've toned down the language so, you know, I don't have to mute Maria out when my little cousins are walking by. "What a Godda--" "LALALA I CAN'T HEAR YOU MARIA, TOO BUSY SINGING~" but other than that, I don't really have a problem with it. Sometimes it's unnecessary, but for the most part I think it's fitting with their personalities, imo. Now, if Tomoe started cursing people out, then I'd have a problem XD

Kay, now I've got all S's on intern, all S's ('cept that ferris wheel accident operation with Hank that I have an A on) on resident, and.... s-some horrible grades on specialistSHUT UP, I'M GETTING THERE. *runs off*

gljfhgjldfshg okay so I've gotten just about all the event cues ID'd now. There's still one or two I can't place (and for the life of me I can't figure out what track plays when Naomi is listening to a victims' last words) but they should all be up on YouTube shortly, after which I can begin actually organizing them into something resembling a coherent UOST. (I'm also doing a bit of renaming here and there.)

I... keep getting a C in that, IF I can keep her alive. I-I can't do it... *sobs in corner* Oh, but I now have two XS's! They're on Maria's first operation and Tomoe's last operation in their respective storylines... ONLY A BILLION OPERATIONS TO GO. o.o

Aaaaaand thanks to the Sibelius program, I now have two tunes done (I took snapshots of the sheets; I hope the size isn't too small):
Spoiler: Unfulfilled Life
Note: Since Sibelius can't save, I couldn't go back and fix this, but in the fifth measure, that middle A in the right hand should be G. Oopsy.

Do they have a storyline or is it just hospital gimmicks?

I'm interested because it's made by Atlus who brought the 2nd best series ever, MegaTen.

2nd best series is pulling it a little.

And Bolt, I can't put up with this charade, so I've ripped the music when Naomi is hearing calls from the dead, and done it in a soundtrack style. (Loop twice, third fade out)

@End Quote and all the other people interested in the series: These series is a must-play. Consider that 2nd place spot to be possibly replaced. Yes, they do have a storyline, with an awesome gameplay at the same time. If you really liked Ace Attorney, then there's one part you'll find very fun. Trauma Team contains 6 different gameplays, and one of them includes Forensics. Personally, I found the cases in this game amazing. All Ace Attorney fans must play the Forensics portion, if not all the games.

If you are wondering about the games individually or wish to know about the storyline or gameplay, check out some videos or look up some plot summaries.

@Clamerdin: Sure they might have had more "language" in this game, especially in Maria, but it enforces her personality. I'm sure this disadvantage for you will be easily taken out because of the game itself. Just get used to it, and enjoy the fun plane. =D

@Bolt: That screenshot you just sent, we're going to need A LOT of doctors, for those Little Guy fans.

I-I think you're misidentifying someone, most likely because of their avatar...

On topic, though. I wish to know, seeing as I may come into some money soon, and this series has sparked my interest... In the opinion of the forum, what would be the best, or rather, the most enjoyable on its own, game in the series?

Yes, they do have a storyline, with an awesome gameplay at the same time. If you really liked Ace Attorney, then there's one part you'll find very fun. Trauma Team contains 6 different gameplays, and one of them includes Forensics. Personally, I found the cases in this game amazing. Ah, sorry for the misunderstanding. Yes, this "Tap" person is quite active, I suggest it would be best if you changed it. I'll also edit my post.

Finally decided to go with it, glad to hear that.

You got an idea of which game to start with?

Uhm, starting with the first one would be the most logical choice.
Or is there a reason not to play Under the Knive first?

I feel the need to ask again, IF I could only purchase one game in the series, which should it be? ((If possible, I'll grab as many as I can... But I'm not sure.))
