Spoiler:
I edited the gif for that reason so it wouldn't reveal what it actually was

Spoiler:
Yeah I get that but the art style still made it obvious unfortunately. I see you've changed it now so thanks. :phoenix:

Spoiler:
I apologize for that since i understand to a DR fan it is still obvious even after the edit and No problem ^^

Post subject:  Re: Dangan-Ronpa

So someone on GameFAQs was ranting a bit ago about people comparing DR to Persona and how they're nothing alike.

Naturally that got me thinking about how they were wrong.

They weren't really, but if this WERE like Persona, here's what I imagine each character's arcana would be. This will also reveal my ignorance as to how tarot really works, yay.

Spoiler: Character spoilers for the whole first game
Naegi Makoto - The Fool/Judgement because he's the main character

Ōwada Mondo - The Magician

Maizono Sayaka - The Priestess or maybe The Lovers, not sure on this one, psychic and tried to push the romance angle a bit

Kirigiri Kyōko - The Empress

Togami Byakuya - The Emperor (duh)

Hagakure Yasuhiro - The Hierophant

Asahina Aoi - The Chariot

Ishimaru Kiyotaka - Justice

Yamada Hifumi - The Hermit

Ōgami Sakura - Strength

Kirigiri Jin - The Hanged Man

Monokuma/Enoshima Junko - Death (naturally)

Fujisaki Chihiro - Temperance

Celestia Ludenberg - The Devil (was leaning towards Wheel of Fortune but this seems more accurate)

Ikusaba Mukuro - The Tower

Kuwata Leon - The Star

Fukawa Tōko - The Moon

Genocider Shojack - The Sun (she specifically calls herself the sun to Tōko's moon, so...yeah.)

Yep, there's a couple missing, not enough characters. Someone tell me I'm wrong or just discuss in general.

Spoiler: Danganronpa
I know that people complain that Junko wasn't developed right as the villian but thats because it was the 1st game. I would suggest reading Danganronpa/zero before everyone keeps with the negative opinions about Junko and learn about her past.

A game shouldn't require me to buy a tie-in novel to understand and appreciate it.

Spoiler: DR+SDR2
Also, I didn't really have that many problems with Junko in DR. Okay, I thought it was kinda weird how someone that depraved could fake being a perky world-famous fashionista for so long. But I always imagined SHSL Despair was actually a large organization, and Junko was just a single member of it (albeit one of the higher-ups). I mean, if they caused the apocalypse, they'd have to be a pretty big organization, right?

Then SDR2 came along, and it turned Junko into pretty much the driving force behind SHSL Despair, while also turning her into a zombie computer virus. It's just stupid and nonsensical.

Well it is a visual novel game so it would make sense a tie-in novel would be required to read.

Spoiler: DR+SDR2
Junko pretty much suffers from multiple personality disorder so it makes sense she could fake being perky world famous fashionista but then again it could just be one of her many personalities.I still havn't played SDR2 so i'm still in the dark about most of the big plot points since I didn't wanna spoil it so I can't much till I play it in September so I can't give me opinion on Junko being a zombie computer virus until I see how it all plays into the game.

Let's pray for a Dangan Ronpa 3 :maya: Plus, considering that the other two games have now been localized, just imagine if a third game was released in English relatively close to its Japanese release! I would totally love to play a DR game unspoiled. I mean, I loved the first, but already knowing what was gonna happen did take away some of the fun.

It could happen but for now the next installment in the series is Zettai Zetsubō Shōjo: Danganronpa AnotherEpisode which takes place between Danganronpa and SDR2.

It puts you in the role of Naegi's sister where you play her outside of the school while the world is in despair and afther the most tragic event that was talked about in danganronpa

Both games in one are for the Vita but only in Japan.

Also Danganronpa is the first game and Super Danganronpa 2 is the 2nd game.

Well good. I would've called him Mochizuki Ryoji. Also, ahahahahaha, somebody's name is Owari. Oh the hilarity. Also... they have to escape off a resort island? Monomi... couldn't they put the differently colored part on the other side, cause now it looks like Monokuma in Pink as a bunny. (And I already am fearful of Monokuma lovers, I don't need bunny stuff added)

And once again, seems like too many characters at once. And the English dub rapes the pronounciation of names...

Sometimes NA makes pointless name changes like Souda being changed to Soda -.-, also whats wrong with Owari? xD.

Its alittle bit more than that but I don't wanna spoil anything about it. You find out more about why Monomi came to be later on in SDR2 and whats wrong with being a Monokuma Fan? :o

When doesn't English Dub ruin the pronounciations haha. Thankful SDR2 will have the option of JP VA like with what they did with the NA release of DR.

I'm not saying there's anything wrong with the name. I'm saying it's hilarious cause it means (the) End. That's like being called Stabamee Bloodsplurter in a horror/murder game. It's kind of... self-prophecy.

I'm not talking about Monokuma fans. I'm talking about.... Monokuma. Fans. I dislike using the term since it's technically wrong, but the Monokuma furry fans. The one who look up Monokuma porn. Bad enough I got a hint of it between Kirigiri and Monokuma at the end of Chapter 3. I just screamed "No! No, I don't want to think about Kirigiri Monokuma porn!"

Well Dual Audio is always nice to have.

Well also I believe Owari was a province in Japan so It could also be tied to that meaning.

That's not a name change. In fact, it's the proper spelling of that name in English, because for general use/readers, it is standard practice to write elongated vowels in Japanese as 'simple' vowels (ie. Tokyo). And in academic texts, you denote elongated vowels with lines above vowels (Sōda, Tōkyō).

Writing out elongated vowels as ou (as in Souda) is actually only interesting for those who study/write Japanese, because then you know whether you're talking about おう or おお: for 90~95%% of the players of the game, this is probablyirrelevant information and such a spelling only makes the pronouncation seem more difficult.

"What did you do to my body?"

And I started feeling VERY uncomfortable. Speaking of DR, of course, finishing Chapter 3 and considering my exported videos are about an entire Chapter behind, guess I'll keep myself from continuing before I have all of Chapter 3 exported which was... uh... 4 Episodes in total, I guess.

Yes. I'm gonna export the Chapter 3 videos and simply not continue recording. Depending on how long it takes (a 50 minutes video for 360p generally takes about 1 - 2 hours; where as Class Trials run close to 2 hours which takes about 5 hours to export in decent quality) it might only be a day or two.

Also, watching my own recorded videos, and I was in the archive in the library and I saw a blue observation thing in the very top right corner that I couldn't check out. What!? What is that? This is bothering me! Or is it something I'm not supposed to find until later?

I understand instances like using "Kuzuryu" instead of "Kuzuryuu" (or the u with the line over it), but for the rare cases like Souda, I feel like using "Souda" instead of "Soda" is better considering "soda" is, y'know, an actual English word, and a silly one for a name at that.

I find "Gundham" pretty weird, too. But maybe "Gundam" is trademarked/copyrighted/registered, so they couldn't use it?
