No. Snake was asked to be in by his creator, and Sonic was the most desired third-party character AND SEGA and Nintendo are buddies now (see Mario & Sonic). Not everyone can get randomly in - I'm guessing one more third-party character, if even.

The movies on the other hand were nice to watch as we got see a few new things while getting a little more on the updates we have gotten.

Yes, I happen to like Ron DeLite. Flaming me for liking a PW Character on PW Fourm is about as effective as going to an AKC Dog Show and trying to insult dogs in any way.
If you are implying that I hate Sonic, you are very wrong. Just like many people here, I have good memories of playing Sonic games as kid. Heck, I was a big fan of the Sonic cartoon from the 80s.
All I’m saying is that it doesn’t matter to me that Sonic is in Brawl or not. It’s nice to see him make an appearance but I’m not like “OMG, Sonic is Brawl! I have a reason to live now and stop cutting myself, LMAO.” as many fans seem to be. Thankfully, Most of you guys here are better than that.

Although, if we do get anymore Sonic characters in Brawl, I want Tails and nobody else. Tails would be good to the selection of flying/gliding character like Pit and Charizard.

Yah, that stage the Ice Climbers were on is definatly an Ice stage, with the northern lights and all, and the one we saw Charizard on kinda looks like the Orre Collusiem to me. With the lava and all...and Who wants to bet that Kyogre freezes whoever it touches?

Yea, this is bad, I think Sonic's debut actually slowed down the games release.

Maybe it's just the Sonic fandom that has colored my eyes, but I have a serious aversion to Sonic now. It probably has to do with the abortion of a game that was Shadow, too...
Also, keep in mind that there was no formal news about delays for Brawl in other areas probably because today was a Japanese event. The US one is tomorrow, so I suppose we'll see.

Actually, on that particular metaphor, I'd be inclined to disagree. My mom was a world renowned sheep dog trainer, and actually helped to write some of the rules regarding herding for the AKC. Anyways, the problem with the AKC and dogs is that the AKC is actively encouraging breeding dogs based upon their looks. This is all well and fine for toy dogs, but for working dogs it's detrimental. Within three generations of dog breeding for looks and not for skill the dogs practically loose all built up instinct. You'll have herding dogs that can't herd, hunting dogs that can't hunt etc etc.
You can argue that, hey, you can train them to do anything. Yes that's true, but only to a degree. A dog that's been properly bread as a worker is infinently more competent to the given task then an unbred dog.

I honestly don't care about Pokemon, Fire Emblem and Mother/Earthbound/Whatever but you don't see me complaining that they're so involved. :/

Well, one of the main rules for third-party candidates to be elligable for Brawl is that they have to have been in a game on a Nintendo platform. Cloud only barely escapes that clause as he was in KH: Chain of Memories on the GBA, but he wasn't even a main character. His chances as such are rather slim.

Only slightly. Since the series itself is currently more identified with the Playstation brand, putting Sora in brawl wouldn't exactly be a great move for them. They're probably looking at more mainstream titles, anyway, like Megaman and such.
