Still just barely past Shagaru Magara
(I had made the Gore Magara gunlance, and to upgrade it I needed a super-rare Shagaru Magara drop, so to fight Shagaru Magara I made a new armor set just to make the fight a bit more bearable, in order to farm up the new armor set I farmed up a couple of various elemental gunlances. Somewhere in there I also farmed up an armor set eggsclusively for the egg quests. I then got around to farming Shagaru Magara for the drop. After that I randomly decided to go for Hunting Horn, so I had to farm up an armor set for that and a few horns. Oh, and I went through the online HR3 quests (I have the urgent quest to go to HR4 unlocked, but haven't done it yet). It's just... all these 5 and 6 star quests with multiple monsters are scary
Next step is to go back and practice Hunting Horn on lower star quests, and then I can finally get progressing again! ...Maybe.)

Also if you can handle Shagaru Magara I'd say you are well capable of handling some of the later stuff with a hunting horn.

Haha well its all nice but you might want to trade the true sight out for another song. After all some big monsters never leave their area and then you have a useless buff.

Or I'm just extra pissed that I wandered in circles in SMT IV's Ueno, looking for the damn Hunter Association until I was told I have to talk to an NPC in the bar that I was in five minutes ago, to get the mandatory quest to proceed.

It hadn't marked itself on my map when I started, hence I couldn't find it easily.Also, I have the feeling I'm either underleveled (Level 26) for my next task (Ikebukuro) or I need to really go all out and fuse demons left, right and center...

I'm wondering why Athena has the highest HP, though... oversensitive hearing gives you HP?
Though speaking of SMT IV. I read the TVTropes page on it. Sure I know the story now and events, but I STILL am not going for any guide on the alignment ending I get. I use a guide if I get lost (happens frequently, I HATE the Tokyo Map!) and I'm just picking whatever option I feel like choosing. Who knows if I'll end up with Chaos or Law or even on neutral by accident.
Kinda doubt I'll get neutral, though I wouldn't mind getting Law immediately... after reading about it, it seems like a neat ending. It also makes me totally ship FlynnxJonathan.
Also, I saw Lucifer's design for SMT IV... The flying fuck? It looks like Voldemort mated with a Matador...

Exactly. I mean, with stuff like Catherine, it's pretty obvious what option gives you what result: except that question on what underwear you prefer, boxers or briefs... the former gives you Chaos and the latter gives you Law points. That was a bit weird of a question, but hey. The game also repeatedly shows you your current Karma Meter so it's easy to follow.
Here, I have no idea what gives me what alignment. Okay when it came to whether I will mercy kill an old friend, the option makes it a bit obvious which is which, but with most of the stuff, no idea. Though I'm guessing I'm currently inclined for Chaos... no real reason why I think so, it's just a feeling. Though I have no indication - except for a guy in a bar that I have not yet met, I think - and nothing to base it on. We'll see.
Though depending on whether the "Nothingness" ending will actually count as an ending or a glorified Game Over scene, I might get that first.
