That happened to me once, too. I was fighting something with Beat, and I used a level 2 Fusion, and got another one directly after it. That's one of Beat's upsides.

I was going through Shibuya River in Another Day on Ultimate to get a Black Mercury from a Fifenfrog. My drop rate was 80 (giving a 10.4% drop chance), and I was just chaining a ton of battles (all the froggies in sight) to up the chance.
Anyway, I chained a battle of 7 froggies, and the first one had a fifenfrog. When I erased it I got the large red pin thingy from it, so I thought I had gotten Black Mercury.
HOWEVER
When I beat it, instead I got a ton of "Frog" pins (I forget how many exactly) and 8 "1 Yen". Except I didn't get them all together... On the screen, it was displayed like:
Frog x(whatever)
1 Yen x 1
1 Yen x 6
1 Yen x 1
I don't know how many 1 Yen pins I had beforehand, so I don't know if I actually got 8 of them, but I don't have a Black Mercury pin, and it even says in the Noise Report that Fifenfrog drops Black Mercury of Ultimate!

Apeaking of filling up Stockplies, I was wondering if this ever happened to anyone.
I was sorting out my pins, and when I tried to leave my stockplie, it said I couldn't because I had more than 200 pins. And I've never come across it again.

I had a Lolita Bat... then I accidentally left my Tin Pin deck equipped when I turned the game off, and didn't play for a while (because I was busy with Pokemon Ranger 2), and the thing evolved. x_x So I replaced it with an Orichalcum.

And I don't see anything really wrong with that set up, apart from you NOT having Aqua barrier as a healing pin.
And one more thing.
Do you hate Neku? Lookit the guy his stats are so low he's either anorexic bulemic or just too poor to eat.
While I normally use Joshua for most of the Sho fight you don't want Neku to let the team down and get whacked, it's both of their health on the line y'see?

Trust me, Shiki is worse. All her stats are still in the single digits. I'll feed Neku stat raisers now, as opposed to all the pancakes he's been eating. And I'll include an Aqua Barrier pin in my deck when I go, seeing as with this it's 'the more healing pins the better'. I just wanted to be sure that I'm not making a mistake bringing only long range psychs with me. I read somwhere that he only teleports of you touch him with the stylus.
Now all I need to do is find a good item to give Neku in place pf the Jeans and decide if I should switch out the Bunny Parka for something else.

XD I do the same thing, except I do that to Makoto in Shadow Ramen.
I like feeding character random food and listening to their reactions. Beat's "It's a Party in my Mouth" is funny. Other than that, I agree with my friend who just got the game: I like beating up stuff.

It's all percentages. When you kill something on any difficulty, it randomly decides (by the drop percentage) if you get the pin for that difficulty. If you don't, then it randomly decides (by the drop percentage) if you get the pin for the next lowest difficulty. And then it continues all the way down to easy, and if you don't get the easy pin, you don't get anything.

I get the concept, but it is a very confusing and convoluted one. That's why I always keep a Pin Evolution Chart handy. But yeah, the person who designed it should be shot. Especially the Mingle points. They're really hard to get, and I don't like waiting for Aliens (since I have no one to mingle with).
