Personally I hope they steer away from too many returning characters for ZE3 because then it'll take away some of the fun because we know what to expect of people.

Yeah but...

Spoiler: VLR
It's already highly likely Phi and Sigma will take up 2 slots already and there will probably be once again only 9 characters.

Anyway I'm curious, you are quite the DR fan which is also a strange-situation mystery visual novel. How does VLR compare to it? Less outlandish I'd guess from looking at the characters but I've not played DR so I want your opinion on it.

Spoiler: VLR spoiler
well 3 slots if you include who ever is inside of Kyle's body which I assume will be the main protagonist of Zero Escape 3

Well to be honest, VLR has a much better story line than DR but the story is way more confusing compared to DR and both games had pretty good character design. I like the characters back stories way more in VLR than in DR

DR is still a fun game and I say you should play it whenever you get the chance to.

Im planning on getting this shirt now that i'm getting into Zero Escape xD

True but we don't really "Know" that person.

The shirt is cool and I'm glad VLR is up there with a few points over DR. Knowing how much of a fan you are of DR it speaks volumes about the quality of the game :)

Well I did binge on the game after I finished getting all the achievements on DR xD. Both games I love since DR is like AA but more of a darker theme and better character designs. With VLR it has a much more amazing and even darker story line which is one of my greatest fetishes when it comes to games :basil:

You know, I've played pretty much all of the novel games by Chunsoft, and 999 is the only one I really, really couldn't get into (which is also why I never played VLR). I will admit that I only got to one ending in 999, but still, I usually get sucked into Chunsoft's games pretty quickly, collecting endings and all...

I suppose I can kind of see that, especially if you got to one of the endings that didn't really tell you much like Knife. If you went down one of the paths that eventually leads to the true ending, things get a lot more interesting.

Still mines was a general one about the series and not just VLR like this thread. If anything then why isnt 999 in this thread and just change the name of the entire thread.

It made sense to merge the two. Because... I have no idea why we had one for 999 and one for VLR. xP

I'd be fine with my thread merging here if and only if they merge the 999 thread here and make this just a Zero Escape thread since its only fair :ron: :yogi:

Edit: Or even better why didn't you mods just merge them all to my thread which I created. Even General Luigi said to create a general thread on the series.

Proof:

This thread was created back when VLR was announced (hence the "PAL as well!" part of the title; it would be nice if the title was simplified, by the way), so nobody wanted any VLR spoilers over in the 999 thread. I guess it doesn't make as much sense now to keep them separate, but these threads are just too large to merge together without having some conversations between the two threads becoming intermingled, which is bad.

I guess if you really wanted a neat forum, it might be best to close both 999 and VLR threads and create a new ZE series thread, but the mods may have their own way of handling things.

In the meantime, the future of ZE has been discussed here since ZE3 was never announced other than it was in preproduction at one point (and then stopped).

Just because someone's played 999 doesn't mean they've played VLR

On the other hand, most people who've played VLR have already played 999 and therefore aren't as susceptible to spoilers regarding the latter

That's my guess as to why we're using this thread instead of the 999 one

And as blah mentioned, combining the threads at this point would be confusing as hell since I'm pretty sure posts would be arranged by the time they were originally made

Well for me I have played and finished VLR and now starting 999

Well why not close both threads and just open up a Zero Escape like I did before it was combined here

What else is there to talk about when a series is on hiatus? People revive the thread when there's something relevant or if they started playing the game themselves. Necrobumping isn't a bad thing for a thread dedicated to a particular video game, imo.

EDIT: IIRC, this particular thread is where I first heard about ZE3 going on hiatus, so I like that.

Could talk about the different theory's as to what could happen in ZE3

Yeah but remember Necrobumping is frowned upon by the mods on CR. Thats why I did create the general thread for the series and yet it was still pushed in here.

Junpei was an employee during the Mars mission test (or w/e it is), so he could very well pop up, and Akane is Akane.

also oh snap, I never even noticed that we have both a VLR and a 999 thread lol. Well, everyone just uses this thread for general ZE discussion. I don't really see the problem.

Necro'ing threads is fine if you actually have something new and meaningful to contribute. It's the random, substance-less necro bumps that we don't like.

And yes, I know, overused movie reference is overused, but it works here because you just seem to be complaining about the fact that your thread was merged into an older one. :ron:
As for the necrobumping issue, refer to Bad Player's post (ya snuck in there with that one, BP!).

*ahem* Maybe I should actually say something relevant to the topic, but all I can say is that 999 is on my list of games to get once I finish up my current games... :yogi:

Was he an employee at the Nevada base? I must have missed that bit. I'm a little concerned about how many plot twists they can actually pull when you'll know most of the cast...I hope it's not quite that way but hey it might me. Then again there's no guarantee what happens at the Nevada base will be a Nonary game they might not be limited to '9's the way the other games are.

Junpei wasn't really a employee at the Nevada Base. Zero Sr if i remember came to him after all the years that passed after the incident and asked him to participate in the Nonary games in the moon

IIRC, (and this a little bit sketchy because it's been over a year... Maybe almost two years since I last played VLR) Junpei said something about having a role there at the Mars Site. What type of role? We don't know. He could have been a janitor there, for all we know...

Junpei's role was most likely because he also has the same powers as Sigma and Phi where he can jump between different time lines since it was mentioned that he used that power to one time save someone's life which I believe was Akane
