Thanks, I wanted to know if I should have switched to Joshua. It seems that he has a good counter as well.

Hands down, Beat. Joshua's not only a prick, but his multi-targeting system gets annoying due to its spread in damage. Beat's much faster in wasting enemies due to his stat boost capability and the fact that you can render him almost invincible due to a really quick kill on each Noise you fight. With him, stopping bosses and blue noise is actually easy, even on ultimate. (Hanekoma is not included in this.)

Well Stats really aren't that....unique since you can change them anyway you want with food.
But I go for Beat. Joshua is my strongest currently and flying high in the air is good especially if you trigger the "Double Spear" attack.
But the thing I hate with Joshua is the amount of time it takes to Sync with him, you can only ever earn one star with him per attack and if your like me, you go for the longest combo possible (higher chance of double spear) so the stars charge really slowly. But with Beat and a good understanding of the card system you can make like 10 stars in one combo and I find it frankly quite awesome, plus Beat can block while Joshua can only dodge and I think the block command is better.

Anyway, I totally love this game and got all of the secret reports. It's probably my fav DS game as well.
Joshua is my fav character. He acts and looks like me as well, so I guess that's a pro.

I must say, TWEWY is one of my FAVORITE games for the DS (other than the Ace Attorneys, of course

I beat the game and got all the secret reports, and it's one of my favorite games ever. I still haven't beaten it a second time yet though (for the secret ending), as I'm still working on 100%. Noise report is at 100%, item collection is at 98% (damn Tin Pin pins), and...well, let's just say Pin Mastery is going to take the longest.
Also, I don't know if anyone is interested in fanart, but...

I know of one other person. But it's okay, I think I'll be able to get the planet pins. I'm only missing 1 or 2 of them now, and since I maxed stats, boss battles aren't too bad.
My friend might want help later on though. So do I just mingle with the pins equipped that I want to "give" him?

The only boss noise I struggled with were the freaky fox one, Kitanji and Shiki and that FREAKING BOSS ELEPHANT!!!! And I don't struggle with the first two anymore but finding the blue symbols can suck, I remember doing all of pork city just to fight miniamoto when his symbol was available outside.

And no, the bosses aren't necessarily in the room where you fight them in the story. Not all of them, anyway. Higashizawa was, but you generally have to look around for them.
The way you can tell if there is a blue boss symbol in the area is if you have NO signal - which you can see if you look at the top right of your screen. There's an icon that looks exactly like the signal "bars" of a cell phone. If you have no signal bars, then you know you're in the right place. :)
You can also look up locations online, if you're lazy XD

And YES, that purple elephant noise was a pain. I think that was the only one I couldn't defeat on level 1, even with max stats. Well, not on ultimate mode, anyway. He did quite a bit of damage. I haven't even tried Panthera and Draco Cantus on Hard+; I'm sure they are tough too. >.>
Still though, the hardest part of the game (so far) for me?
Getting Tin Pin Artist. RAWRG. >< Such a pain. And you have to get it twice, because you need it for an item AND pin mastery! eeevil.

You get them by winning at Tin Pin Slammer on various days at Stride, in Tipsy Tose Hall...I don't really know the days off the top of my head, I kinda just looked up which days to get each one as I needed them. A lot of items require Tin Pin pins to get, so you end up having to get some of them twice (to get 100% for Pin Mastery AND items)
Tin Pin Artist in particular, you win at Stride on Beat's week, day 3, and it's REALLY tough. >>;
