The Gooey Bomb
evil - explosive - and blargh.... you can throw it at your enemies and it will stick on them until it explodes! When you're hit - try to touch another chara that it will stick on him.
My opinion: nice explosive thing - could help in some battles, but I think it will be an weak bomb, which is not as strong as a good ol' Bomb'Omb.

Pit - the screens are not bad but my questions are:
Can he fly as good as Kirby?
Are his arrows like Samus' Smash+B attack (fogot the name^^"")?
Is the weapon change (Swords/Bow) like the Zelda/Shiek one?

As for Pit's arrows, Link's arrows could be charged and would fly farther depending on the length of the charge. Naturally, less power would mean less distance, but firing off the edge of a platform would also let you "drop" the arrow on characters below you. Hopefully Pit's arrows will be more complex and let you actually angle your shot - that's my take on it.
Being winged, we should expect to see him possessing one of the best jumps in the game, either a multi-jump a la Kirby/Jigglypuff, or just some insane air.

It'd be nice to get some more 'new' info first, but otherwise I'd guess it'll be next Thursday before we see a 'new' character that we don't know is in the game for sure yet, unless they throw everyone for a loop.

Just to clarify, Wings of Icarus isn't technically a jump, it gives Pit full free-flight capabilities for an unspecified (though certainly limited) amount of time. He can't freely fly normally otherwise, though it's suspected that his regular jump capacity would be like that of Kirby, Jigglypuff or Meta-Knight. At least, if the trailers are any indication.
As for the Final Smash, there's a rather large debate at the moment over whether or not they should be tournament-legal, since they're once-a-match and all.

Now you can finally move freely with a shooting weapon like the Scope.
IMO it's one of the nicest new features - I remember how annoying it was in SSBM when you charged the Scope and someone interupted you....

Pichu wasn't worthless. Pichu was one of the fastest characters in the game and had one of the strongest attacks to boot. Sure, he's a lightweight and gets KO'd easily, but anyone who can play properly as Pichu can avoid getting hit and thus building up damage with ease - he's tiny after all; you only need to duck and most stuff goes straight over your head - and can outlast much heavier foes with correct use of techniques like the midair dodge.
Plus, he's one of the least clone-y clones. Sure, his attacks are similar, but if you play as Pichu the same was as you would with Pikachu, you'll be KO'd instantly. Pichu is a whole different ball game and requires a totally different play strategy to his big brother, down to which moves are used. Pichu isn't just a lighter Pikachu that hurts himself; he's faster, has some uncredibly powerful attacks and is one of the hardest characters to land an attack on in the whole game.
Mario and Dr. Mario? You throw pills instead of fire.
I don't know why they'd get rid of G&W though. Sure, few people play as him and he's fairly uninteresting and weak, but it'd take about half an hour to create all the animations and voice clips for him, no?

BTW they are also getting rid of Young Link, Peach, and all the other pokemon except Jigglypuff and Pikachu, or so I've heard.
