Well, I'm at the final cut of Fire Emblem Awakening from my last trip. And well, that game is just amazing. And I've started Path of Radiance on my Gamecube, so I'm not sure whether I want to start another one.

Well, If you have the new 3ds, xenoblade chronicles is a very long game, it will definitely last throughout your trip.

I would play it, but I already have the Wii version, and eh...I don't really want to replay it so soon after playing the original.

They're pretty easy games to find as Inazuma eleven is on the eshop and LBX was a recently released game.

TBH, Persona q is very similar to the Etrian Odyssey games (I think that what they were...)

Err not that I am aware. You can talk about anything here.

It's just that with all the forums and topics here normally most aspects of AA are covered elsewhere.

If folks start talking about one topic for too long they will be told to make its own topic though.

Well, it was likely based on a Japanese translation? And Japanese to talk like that. Pretty sure some germans talk like that, too.

Actually, since this is for random topics of games, pretty sure you can. Just as long as it doesn't go on for pages, if the game has its own thread.

I know this sounds weird, but I like Princess Debut. It's Dating Sim, mixed with pretty dresses and, apparently, Elite Beat Angels-type of rhythm. You need to use your stylus to follow the form on the touch screen. It's sweet and uses classical music - understandable, you're taking on the role of Decoy Princess and need to learn to dance.

Unfortunately, game does not seem to have been released in Europe.

It's sweet. Though pretty repetitive, because you need to get your dance skill up and it doesn't carry over in 'New Game Plus'. (which is not really NG+, it merely changes the songs from A to B version and you retain your previously collected items... gotta redo your dance skill) And you can only do that by going to the dance hall to, well, dance. So half the time, you'll be dancing.

Which, as said, it's overall sweet. Just... repetitive in that instance.

You know, in Omega Ruby, I eventually forced myself to advance the plot and defeated Groudon. Well, caught him, actually. Got the National Dex and then caught several Eevee, to make them into the various 'lutions. So had a party of Grasszilla (my Treecko starter) at Level 49 and a Laturn cause, goddammit, you need a freaking HM slave for these games. Rest were a Flareon, Leafeon, Sylveon and Glaceon. All around Level 20-ish.

I was GONNA just grind them to Level 55 for the Elite 4/Victory Road, but given how shit the EXP is, I can't have a team of Eeveelutions. It would take too long. Which just makes me think: if you're not gonna GIVE me access to some of these Pokémon until practically the end of the game, WHY, oh, WHY do you not STACK their level? It was already annoyingly tedious to go back to Route 116 to catch Level 9 Pokémon. If they're DexNav exclusive, you COULD'VE changed their levels to late 30s or similar.

See, this is why I liked Y better. I wasn't prevented from catching Eevees until late in the game, I could catch them as soon as I made it to Route 10. (Same goes for any other Pokémon game where I can catch Eevee without jumping through hoops)

You pretty much need to catch and evolve Eevees at low levels if you want them to learn any moves that aren't complete garbage. Baton Pass is like the only good thing normal Eevees get.

I forget, but don't they learn the low-level skills upon evolution, anyway? :ron:

Also what good moves? I just defeated Steven and my Sylveon was in mid-40s before it learned Moonblast. I would much prefer to catch pokémon that aren't unlocked until practically end-game* at higher levels to begin with. What's the point of them being low level, I just want to level grind them up for evolutions, anyway.

Not unless they evolve at the same level their evolution would learn the move IIRC

and geez mid-40s

anyone remember back when pokemon learned their strongest moves in the 60s and 70s? :yogi:

Used to be most Pokemon learned a moderately decent move in the late 30s/40s and their best move in their 60s. I remember Red and Blue, Pikachu was stuck with Thundershock until about level 45. No Thunderbolt, no other Electric move. Now it gets a whole slew of moves while you wait for Thunder, and it seems the same with almost every other Pokemon. Really, learning a decent move at level 40 doesn't seem bad to me at all.

Then again, I'm the kind of guy who has the patience to train a Dragon type pokemon who evolves at level 55 during a casual playthrough, having to drudge through the mediocrity of those Pokemon until they hit that final evolution and finally become fantastic.
On April 3, 2016, Court Records Forums experienced a miracle upon that day.

Preaching to the choir! I has this experience with trying to get my Eevee to evolve to an Espeon but missed the chance to be able to learn any Psychic moves till I think it was level 40 something (by which point I was gonna face the champion). Had to do the tedious task of searching all over Kalos for Heart Scales (thankfully this can be fixed quicker in ORAS with the farming of Heart Scales in catching Luvdisc, arguably their only useful function)

So, apparently Senran Kagura is 'audience alienating' because of its cover and heavy emphasis on Clothing Damage on the fanservice-y girls... just for that, I WILL buy that game. And not give a shit about anyone staring. (Because why should I, it's just a game)

PS: I need money. I want Pokémon Y again. ORAS was such a failure for me to buy...

I'm still playing the CD-i Zelda games... And honestly? The gameplay is horrible, but not as bad as people say. And in a way, it's so bad it's kind of fun, almost like Sonic '06... Just not as many fun glitches.

Ugh I wouldn't say Sonic '06 is fun...I still remember the monstrous "Mach Speed" sections.
Once you get past Sonic's story it gets a bit better.

Though I think it's the production value and ridiculous cutscenes that are CD-i Zelda's claim to fame rather than issues with it's gameplay.

Thinking I'll get a massage for the first time today (well that's not been from a friend). Part of me is a little nervous about it, but I hope I'll feel better for it.

Although Sonic 06 is definitely bad I still had fun with it, so I can see what Oliver is trying to say.

The mach speed was simply trial and error. Frustrating at times, but not hard in my opinion (and I S ranked everything in the game, so completing a stage normally should be doable imho). For me the worst part of the game was the whole Silver playthrough, since he's so slow and the telekinesis was just to clunky to work with.

Ah well, what is worst is debatable. At the very least I can say I prefer to rip a band-aid off in 1 go instead of slowly peeling it off.

Tales of Xillia 2 - should I buy it: Yay or Nay?

I kinda like the story being told, from what little I read, though I honestly want to see just HOW obvious they make the... relation-revelation obvious from the get go. (I mean, I found Symphonia made it way past easy early on, myself, so if other people say this one is easy, I wonder...) But I read some people think Xillia 2 is more of an "expansion" to Xillia than a full game?
