Lighthouse, and that damn crab just owned me for the eightieth time. Well, it's really been about fifteen... but it's still incredibly frustrating. Thus, I have no choice but to resort to my Action Replay. :sadshoe:

I've actually read that the game deletes all the save files once it detects one of those.

I had problems with that boss too, but you shouldn't give up like that.

I'm lazy, I'm impatient, and it's the first Castlevania game I've ever played. If I knew it would be this tough... :grey:

And I don't have an actual AR... I have one of those flash carts, you know, to put ROMs on... I'll back up my save before activating them. :will:

Well... any tips then...?

Still stuck? I can help.

First just stay far on the Right where he can't hit you and use Vol Fulgur, I also use Arcus for glyph union.
Then when he blows bubbles run to the other side before moving back for more Vol Fulgur when he uses the claw.

Then when he gets pissed and Red wait for him to clip his claws then backdash. Make sure he pummels the same spot with his claw then when the roof breaks go up. Next stage I think you can pretty much rinse and repeat the last strategy, except you need to use Magnes to traverse the platforms.

Once at the next stage you want to go to the bottom left platform DUCK and fire away, his bubbles and regular claw attacks should miss you, he does a kinda claw attack where he holds the big claw with his little hand and....pings it into the opposite wall which can hit you so jump if you see him preparing it. Then you'll need to jump and drop through the platform when baiting him to destroy the ceiling. Once you do your onto the final stage.

Easy as pie, jump on the big platform above and follow the onscreen directions for a nice.

FATALITY :godot:

P.S. Think there's trouble now? Wait till Goliath....also you get Vol Fulgur in the electric shock room in the prison near the exit bit of a puzzle solver but worth it I find.

He's not so tough...his ability to nullify your status ailment immunity alone is the only reason I lost with Chrono alone.

Oh....wipe out the left pod first, shouldn't be too hard I managed it with one frenzy I think maybe more. Then FOCUS EVERYTHING YOU HAVE on pummelling the right hand pod, it's the important one, battle ends when it dies. Damage might hurt now and then but I was so well equipped by this stage it didn't matter much.

I think I got the Sun Stone too late, so I couldn't get the Rainbow Sword, but I did get the prism helms. I'm think I have most Magus' ultimate Weapon/Helmet/Armor/, and I upgraded the Masamune for Frog. Can you go back to Melchoir to get the Rainbow Sword after you get the armor from him?

Hmmm I'm not sure I've only played through once but I still got some freakin awesome things. The Rainbow is an awesome sword 70% critical rate but I got Frog's masamune upgraded, the Prism Dress, and Rainbow, I think Rainbow isn't a either/or thing so you should be able to get it.

What I thought is that you could get the Rainbow Sword + Dress/Helm, but it needed to be done all at the same time.

@Catgrenade Oh no you don't need to get them at the same time, I got the dress waaaaay before the Rainbow, it's not a simultaneous thing I'm sure.

I started Professor Layton & The Curious Village a while ago. Been playing it for two hours and I'm still only at the beginning. I'm slowly beginning to dislike puzzle games and puzzles in general.

Think you gotta save the clear game in a separate file, then you can continue from where you were (presuming you fight Lavos before the pre-destined time)

I'm on the verge of beating TWEWY, but I'm not ready to just yet, so I started Professor Layton and the Curious Village. Looking at a few of the posts on this page, I'm comforted to know that I'm not the only one whose mind is exploding due to some of these puzzles. I do like the story so far though. Even though it can be frustrating, I've gotten quite addicted to the game.

SF64 was one of my first N64 games. I can still remember that Christmas Day in '97 when, to my surprise, there were not only one but two excellent video games awaiting to take residence in my library alongside Super Mario 64; Diddy Kong Racing and the aforementioned game.
