Thank you!!

Spoiler:
The older designs look pretty good! Derek is a bit thinner than I thought he'd be, but he looks more intelligent. I like Angie's shorter hair.

At least Derek didn't show up as a bum of a patient because a failed operation caused him to go into a downward spiral. ...Not that there's anything wrong with that.

Haha, that's true. At least Derek is still a professional at what he does, surgery. Now Phoenix on the other...

O WAIT. THIS IS ABOUT TRAUMA CENTER. XD

Anyway, thanks for the positive input on my guide. I really appreciate it. The next version, 1.2, is going to be released tomorrow, but its not that big of an update. Just adding in Stigma strategy stuff, grammatical fixes, and sites allowed to host.

Now, onto the actual topic...Yeah, I wasn't pleased with how Angie turned out, but she seemed more professional, so it was all good in the end.

I was kind of surprised at Vakhushti's appearance though.

Well I finally beat the 5th as well as the 6th Sin Patients! :keiko:

I'm now on Final Sin which is a bitch to beat as usual that's nothing new. I think I cleared the fifth just because Pempti didn't give me cores that causes wounds near the end of it I got an S rank on it. For some reason I got a B rank on the 6th patient where I have yet to score higher than a C on Infection. :eh?:

After Chapter 6 I will have to beat the X missions but at least I will have finished the story mode of the DS version and I'll be looking forward to playing Second Opinion and New Blood on the Wii!

Well I finally beat Trauma Center: Under the Knife in story mode now all I have to do is beat the X missions and I can't get pass the first one. :grey: Maybe I have to suture the lacerations but as soon as you do two more get created and even if I do defeat one two more of the manta rays(I can't spell the GUILT name) show up and I usually die around then.

They say it's all downhill after you get by X1 is that true for most of you or do some of you get stuck in a hard operation before the Final Sin?

If you suture the lacerations, you're going to get more and more every second, and the more there are, the faster the vitals drain...which will kill you very easily.

The easiest known way to deal with X1 involves cutting the Kyriaki out as soon as they appear, then letting them make cuts until there are nine on screen. Of course, this next part is very important.

KEEP GEL ON THE LACERATIONS AT ALL TIMES UNLESS YOU WANT TO DIE!

Other than that, you just deal with it like you would a normal Kyriaki operation... Suture any excess lacerations if their numbers are over nine. Kyriaki for some reason can't make more lacerations if there are nine on screen. (Unless you cut them out.)

Oh and for Bolt... XD

Quote:

Brachion is actually the easiest since it can't actually do much vital damage. XD It just requires a lot of micromanagement. Ops is technicly harder in both aspects.

Yeah, Brachion's not difficult, but I have shaky hands so it can be frustrating.

I beat the game on normal, now working my way through hard. XS'd Snowstorm with both Markus and Val.

Yeah, Windy I figured that dealing with the cuts was pointless while there were still kyriaki in the body. It's just a matter of practice until I beat it. Even I got passed the mutant Trinti operations after a while with no problems and I want to get by X1 without using the healing touch.

Finally got my hands on Second Opinion. Great game, no doubt. :hobohodo:

Of course, the X missions are pretty hard. But considering I've only done the missions on easy now (damn, the entire game is cake-walk on easy. I only lost my patient twice during play-through. Once was the bomb where I got careless, and the other was Greg's operation where I forgot to monitor the vitals XD), and I'll have to go through them on a higher difficulty (and go back and earn S on everything. Wasn't there an XS rating too..?)

Took 5 hours to get through. Wonder how long it'll take before I can get through X1 :gant:

On NB I've XSed all of chapter 5 except for Endgame with Val, Misfortune Strikes with Val, and Fade to Black with both (though I have an S with Markus.)

I don't think I'll ever XS anything involving inflammations. Friggin' shaky hands.

I got the game for Christmas, beat it two days ago.

Way harder than SO or UtK. Of course, I have no one to play it with, so I had to do all the operations on my own. Made missions with Onyx hell. ._.
Windy, I'm determined to beat you at least once on the leaderboards. Just once. You and Chewy, and your ridiculously high scores. ):

Ichigo, the toy-lock mission looks much harder than it is. Look at the symbols in the center. Each of them has a little "tail" coming out of one end. Twist a panel with the forceps so the line in it connects to the tail. The panel will light up and connect the light to any other lines.
Each of the outer symbols also has a "tail." All you have to do is connect the symbols in the center to the outer symbols, by colour. Meaning, connect red to red, yellow to yellow, etc.
I'm sorry, it sounds much harder on paper than it really is. >:

Well, I got both New Blood and Second Opinion and I consider New Blood to be the harder of the two maybe it's because that SO is a remake of the DS game and feels familiar to me even though the Wii controls take some getting used to.(Forceps I am talking to you! :grey: )

Somehow I got my brother interested in New Blood even though he has never played the original or the remake he says he likes it because there is voice acting in it. We done some missions together on easy to get him and me used to the controls we even scored our first B rank on one mission.

New Blood Spoilers

Spoiler:
When we first encounter STIGMA in the doctor that called Markus back to his hospital of course we played it on easy but we used no healing touch. Also maybe we got higher then a C because there were not too many misses, the forceps, again I have trouble with. I later went back and did the mission alone and got an A rank. However like I said we were playing on easy I imagine it is harder on normal ect.

By the way is the only way to get an XS rank is to play both SO and NB on hard mode?

I will leave you with this funny cartoon that sums up Trauma Center in a nutshell. :gregory:

This topic deserves a nice healthy bump.

I'm having issues. I was a fan of UTK (ds). I was afraid for the longest time that I would blow 50 bucks on either Second Opinion or New Blood one time, and never play it again because my patients would be constantly flatlining. So my local Blockbuster finally started carrying it for rental. I rented New Blood, (they didn't carry SO.) I fell in love, and was heartbroken when my 5 days were up. Now I can't find this game in stores locally and I'd have to order it online, which my parents are strictly against.

*sigh* Does anyone know if they discontinued shipping this game for some reason? It says that the new copies are not for sale on Gamestop.com, and that it was released on November 20th of last year. I find that that's an aweful short period of time to discontinue such a great game. It's only been about 6 months.

What I also find strange is that in this month's issue of Nintendo Power magazine, there's a whole page advertisement spread for the game by the table of contents section. Does this mean that Atlus will try and get more copies out?

^^ And to the above poster, I thought Second Opinion was the 'remake'. New Blood clearly is an entirely different story because it takes place AFTER the GUILT epidemic and has entirely new characters.

I don't think so. My local Wal-mart still carries it, a long with SO... Keep checking Gamestop. They might just be out and are waiting for a new shipment or something. Also, someone might sell them a used copy of NB, which they in turn could sell to you. Gamestop is pretty awesome~

I pretty much beat all the X missions in Utk and SO (S and XS's). I haven't even opened my NB yet because of my sudden obsession with Brawl. But I will eventually play it.

K, so I found it, but I had to drive 1.5 hours outside of the city to a gamestop that had it. (If only the 5 stores that I passed had it...) Ugh. It was worth it, though.

My dad was paying for the gas. :phoenix:

And with the 'shortage' of copies in my area, it would be highly unlikely that someone would sell their copy. If they do, it would be snatched up right away. No walmarts in my area carry either game. I'm pretty good friends with the workers at my local gamestop, and even they said they couldn't order it and they haven't had any copies for a long time. The one I went to today had like 10 of New Blood and 0 of Second Opinion. It's pretty sad.

I've only played New Blood, but I really enjoyed it. I specialize in Cheir and glass shards/lacerations. (LOL, easy stuff) A few things that I feel like mentioning:

* MARKUS. VAUGHN. I adore him. He has a voice like sex and German chocolate. (My inability to properly draw stars isn't the ONLY reason I do the Healing Touch tutorial. The way he breathes, and how he enunciates the words "Relaaaaax, foooocus, breeeaaaaathe," make me a bit lightheaded. XDDDDDD) I also love his HT (which I'm given to understand is the same as Derek's).

* Valerie is pretty awesome. I love how she works things out in the "Money Talks" mission. However, I couldn't stand it when she heckled Markus about the directions, even though my friend Gal and I quote that line constantly. It's like it's so annoying, it's funny. ("You know all the names of all the major arteries but you can't remember simple directions?")

* I can't help it, but I think Cheir are incredibly adorable~ <3 Something about them is so cute and squidy. I actually drew part of a comic called "Tender Loving Cheir." Does that make me weird? ^_^;

* I was fortunate that Gal had already played SO and UtK, because she was able to show me the ropes pretty well. Once I got good at it, we took on a lot of operations together, including getting an XS ranking the final challenge mission.

* Gal and I started working on our own mini game called "Trauma-Rama: Bad Things Happen," an homage to our favorite TC phrase: "If you let an aneurysm explode, BAD THINGS HAPPEN," or "If the shock-waves touch the tumor, BAD THINGS HAPPEN!"

Weeeeird. There's certainly no short supply of SO or NB in my area. I guess that's good for me, since I haven't played NB yet because I don't have the $50 to blow on it yet. :hobohodo:

Paraskevi isn't hard at all, you can stall it till you die of old age. (Until you get to the heart when you frantically try to kill the damn things and they somehow won't die.)

Also,

In SO, which doctor did everyone like?

I'm a Derek fan-girl, but I prefered using Naomi.

It took me a few tries to realize that when you've cut Paraskevi into about four pieces, you shouldn't freeze them all and cut them up at the exact same time. xP That'll kill your patient preeeeeeetty quickly...

I always thought all GUILT could be stalled in some way.
Spoiler: Just in case
In UtK, Amy had lived with Deftera for two years before it needed to be excised.
But I could be grasping...

I'm such a Derek fan too (I want to take him home with me. =D) But Naomi's HT saved my butt in quite a few missions.

My favourite in UTK was either Bliss or Tetarti. The Tetarti had all those pretty colours! Like purple, green, and yellow I think it was. That final surgery was HARD. I got so pissed off I had to pull out my Action Replay. I couldn't progress if I didn't. I wanted to finish the story.

I hated Triti. Ugh, that one sucked. Those spikes and the gassy white things... and my patient's poor poor vitals...
