I just hope the remixed music sounds better. I really liked Gen. 3, but I didn't care much for all the trumpety sounding songs they had. I hope the upgraded songs get some great improvement.

Trumpets are fine. GBA-quality trumpets can get stuffed.

Don't get me wrong. I love trumpets. GBA versions of them dominating nearly every single song? Not so much. I believe there were better GBA sounds that could have been better utilized for the songs. The songs were good overall, but I just didn't like the sound choices they made for it.

Aye, I do hope they upgrade the quality but keep the trumpets. Hoenn had some pretty damn good music. In fact, basically all the Pokémon games do, something that's not often mentioned. I didn't care for the X and Y music though.

I find it kinda funny if you think about it, if you have the right equipment, it's possible to transfer Pokemon from the Gen. 3 R/S/E all the way to updated 6th Gen. versions. It's got me curious to know if the games will address that they're from Hoenn or from somewhere far away.

Gah! I'm having so much trouble chaining Pawniards!

They're a pretty rare bunch on route 15 as it is so I bring out Magnet pull to boost the odds but even then I've only pulled about 16 chain max before a stupid Mightyena or a Clefki shows up to ruin everything.

Thinking I might just have to 'Matsuda' it somehow. Is it just I need a parent from a non-English country?

What Country are you in? That Bisharp might make a perfect parent but I'd need one from a non-English Speaking country for Matsudaing to work.

I thought it just needed to be from another country in general.

Hmmm you might be right there, I was under the impression the language had to be different, what with those strange little GER ITA FRA etc tags at the top of foreign pokemon.

I'm just trying to get some dittos so I can better IV breed one.

More confused now, my girlfriend who is much wiser about pokemon than me, insists that the game uses language to determine country and so it's the most important factor.

They indeed need to be two different language. The best trick for it is to ask for a non english Ditto. With that you'll be UNSTOPPABLE! Well, until you discover IV's that is...

Thanks Shao-Mae!
That's good to hear glad that's all clarified.

Now Thane was complaining his Bisharp didn't have sucker punch and I thank him as it makes me more aware of things I might have missed. So what ya'll think, should I breed with a Kadabra for Psycho Cutter which is a strong psychic move which would be handy against any bulky fighting types (4x Damage against Bisharp) or do I take Sucker Punch by breeding with a Croagunk or something and get a nice priority move?

Also Shao-Mae if you have a nice foreign Bisharp or Pawniard that would be kind to loan me it.

Sorry I do not have that. But I have a lot of foreign Ditto (French and japanese), plus they have nice (superior potential) IVs.

Thanks Shao-Mae, what are the nice IV's you have on your Dittos? If so could I get a good IV Pawniard and send it over to you? Then when the child hatches it'll be from another country with good IVs, you can send it back and I'll use it for the Masuda process.

Unfortunately my X game is english, my Soul Siver was french. The only other thing I can say is to go to another forum and ask someone with a different country (language) to do the trade. Also I know that on Serebii a lot of people offer Japanese 6IV Ditto for megastones or good IV pokémon and etc.

If you want a Ditto I have so much that I don't remember their IV by heart, but they are genereally 2-3IV.

Nah it'll be ok, it's important that the Pawniard is born abroad so trading for one to hatch it here wouldn't help but thanks :)

I just get tentative about starting new forums.

Why not Zoidberg both? Egg moves carry over no matter who the parent is in Gen 6, so you can breed with the Kadabra first and then get Sucker Punch.

Mm-hmm, breeding is so much nicer in Gen 6. In fact, you pretty much want to pass down any egg moves you want before you work on IVs so you don't have to breed up multiple perfect (or near-perfect) parents.

Hmmm that would make sense but I'm afraid steps are already in place.

My girlfriend is breeding an Absol with perfect IVs with a Lopunny to get a buneary with perfect IVs. Then she's going to pass that buneary onto me. I'll breed that with a Pawniard until I get perfect IVs on a female. Then I'll breed that with a Kadabra for Sucker Punch on the child.

I'll presumably do the same with a Crogunk or something.

So a parent with Sucker Punch and a parent with Psycho Cut should pass on to the kid.

At some point I'll need a foreign parent though or the Masuding won't work.

Why don't you just do the egg moves now while you're waiting for the perfect Buneary? If you breed up a perfect female Pawniard and then breed that with an imperfect Kadabra/Croagunk for the egg moves, you'll have to work towards getting perfect IVs all over again.

Hmm that's a fair point you make though the buneary was bred quickly enough.

I'm not exactly sure how Destiny Knot works since it doesn't seem guaranteed but it passes on a lot of good ones. I've got a female with 4 perfect IVs out of 5 now so I'm not sure if I should keep it till I get it perfect since I'm so close or just gun for a Kadabra breeding just now.

Destiny Knot passes down five random IVs between the parents; without the Knot you get three.

As long as you have at least four 31s (or a 0 in speed if you're going for that) between both parents, always use Destiny Knot.

Thanks for the update on the mechanics Franchise, makes a fair bit more sense now.

In any case I wonder if there's anyone here who can help me.

Anyone got a non-English Language game who could hatch some eggs for me? Worked hard today and I've got 5 superpowered eggs from 5 perfect IV's. For Masuda to work I'd need someone to hatch it abroad and send it back to me. I've done most of the work, the eggs will probably hatch in a few steps but I still need a little helping hand for this.

You must live in Germany!?

Help me! I need a Masuda pokemon for a shiny Pawniard.
I have it ready I just need to send them over to breed and or hatch.

I'm hearing conflicted opinions on whether for Masuda-ing you need the pokemon to hatch on foreign soil or be conceived on foreign soil.
