One character I would love NOT to see this game, but you just KNOW it'll be in, is Jigglypuff. I'm sorry, but in the previous game, I just didn't find any reason for its input, other than to completely demolish it in matches.
Do you know what Jiggly's B down actually does, and what a wall of pain is? Jigglypuff is bloody badass in SSBM.

I wouldn't blame them for not making him playable, and the best that they could give him as a weapon is his tennis racket from his first appearence in Mario Tennis.

The Mega Man anniversary is tomorrow, the first Mega Man game came out on December 17, 1987. So if anything is going to happen it's going to be tomorrow I hope O_O!!

Each time I fight someone who uses her, it's always that damn Left/Right special attack, where she spins rapidly...? Granted, against Fox or Falco, with decent timing, it's useless, but still...
Also, "Rest" doesn't work unless Jigglypuff is close enough to her opponent. Not ONLY that, but since I use Samus, I rarely have loads of trouble with her, since Samus is a long-range specialist anyways.
Again though, Here's a hint: People said a while back that Phoenix Wright characters should be here.
Well, take this into thought: If PW characters are in the game, then Obviously, Megaman would be in it, since if a minor series like PW puts a character in it, then Capcom would undoubtedly put their defining, main character, in it as well.
I can even see a few Megaman attacks! Up + B (Special Up Ability): Flame Dash (where he's engulfed in flames, and he dashes forward? If you played Megaman X 2 you know what this is) .... all I've got, actually.
Also, if they put Megaman in here, they'd have to give him his most important ability: Take the abilities of his enemies. Granted, we have a character like that: Kirby.

Luigi's Mansion was a good game. Aside from the original gameplay and quirky puzzles and bosses, it featured a unique storyline that greatly improved and expanded Luigi's character away from just being a green Mario clone. Just because the game is a bit on the easy side doesn't mean it's horrible.
Or, you know, the countless other equipment, attacks and such he's used in every Mario sports/party title he's ever been in. That goes for Daisy, as well.
Sure, just like something happened on Thanksgiving, Miyamoto's birthday, Sakurai's birthday, etc.
Most people who hate Jigglypuff either don't know how to play her properly, or ar turned away by the fact that she lacks a true third jump. While I do like Jigglypuff, the lack of a B-up jump does tend to throw me off sometimes, especially in dire recovery situations.
From the new characters, definately Sonic. He seems very fast and good for combos, both things I excel at. As far as returning characters are concerned, Pikachu and Fox both take equal priority.

Not a biiiig announcement, unless you have many friends who can play the game...?

There aren't as many co-op events as there are single-player ones, but some of them are quite different from their regular counterparts. For example, the Two Kings event remains about the same, but letting the second player use Kirby, thus making it 2-on-2 fight. However, Meta Knight's event against Kirby is replaced with a Super Sudden Death challenge. There's also a Pokémon tag battle event where two Pokémon Trainer and Pikachu teams face one another, much like a real Pokémon battle. There's even an event that's about smashing coins out of other fighters, which uses the actual coins you've earned in the game as a gamble type of thing.
Probably the most noteworthy mention is that Target Smash can also be played co-operatively.

Jigglypuff is, especially with her side B (which gives her height) probably the best recoverer in-game except Peach :p

I agree with Pichu's stance as well, actually. I don't know ANYONE who would prefer Pichu over Pikachu, and I know very few who even use Pikachu to BEGIN with!
I knew a lot of Dr. Mario and regular Mario users though... I wonder if the Doctor will be In?
Finally, I am still surprised they haven't at least announced the Metroid assist trophy, since its already been spoken of in Nintendo Power magazine... not as its possible usage... I mean it's actually said it IS in the game!
Anyways, I could've sworn that originally, it was that every 2 weeks, a new character would be announced... so not mentioning them for about a month + isn't even surprising me anymore.

Obsessing over Megaman and hoping every coming update will announce him as a playable character isn't going to make it magically happen. It's fine to hope for it, but don't act like it's the holy grail of Dojo updates. Otherwise you might end up like the poster who really, really wanted Little Mac to be playable a while back.
Somewhat, though I considered Pichu to sort-of be the Dan Hibiki of Melee; a character weaker and somewhat crippled compared to most others, but beating someone with that character shows just how good you are (or bad the other person is).
For air and side recovery, yes, Pound does certainly help, though I was thinking more with pit/downward recovery in relation to the lack of a "third" jump. I'm not all that much of a Jigglypuff player, though, so I'm not really all too informed on her beyond that.
We were probably writing at the same same time, but the same-time-post screen only shows up if someone else makes a new post before you, not an edit, so I didn't actually see your post at the time. It's not like I copied you or anything, if that's what you're thinking.

I'm not Obsessing, all I was saying was if Megaman was in the game this would have been the perfect time to introduce him. That's all, it would be nice to have him in the game, but it's not going to kill me if he isn't.
On the topic of Pichu, I would use Pichu over Pikachu because of Pichu's taunt. Rolling on the ground is epic in my opinion after you've knocked someone off the screen.

The second is a new stage from the Metroid series, Frigate Orpheon. The level seems simple, but is plagued by power outages. When sirens go off, it's a warning for the fighters to jump as thhe entire stage flips 180 degrees, resulting in a new platform setup.

... I just remembered: many years ago, they were supposed to make a 3-D Earthbounc game called "Earthbound 64"... also, I think "Chrono Trigger 64" was supposed to be made in the past as well, but both ideas were canned... I hope Crono gets a part in this game.
