I think he was trying to imply that it was bad and a 4/10, and then revealed that it was actually a 4/5 and is good.

I know. Sorry, Swedish sarcasm. In fact, if it was a 4/10, I'd be a little disapointed with MaimJay.

Anyway, the game has gotten a lot of "bad" reviews. Seems "everyone" agrees that it's certainly the best game in the series, and a must-buy if you're new to the concept. For the faithful Animal Crossing fans out there, it is a rip-off; a simple mix of the two previous outings, with a little town tacked on to it. That's a real disapointment. I'll still buy it though, I've played quite a lot of AWDS but never had my own copy, so I'll hope that there's enough here to keep me interested. Still... if it weren't for the Wi-Fi I probably would've rather placed my money on the GC original.

The reviews really haven't been fair to this game. Some have been better then others, the X-play review is one of the better ones. It's hard to judge as this is a large game that takes time to play and you really can't see it with a few days worth of gameplay. I've been playing WW weekly since it came out and I still haven't gotten everything in 3 years. I wish people didn't judge a game so much by it's reviews. *sigh*

Still, it's an amazing game and I'm so glad that I brought it. And once I get my SD card, I can share pictures too! :larry2:

You could make your characters look like the von Karmas :D

Like how I'm making a Godot in-game costume (as I've already mentioned) I'll get pics as soon as I finish it (which should be very soon)

And on that note...

Does anyone know how to transfer pictures from my SD card to my computer through the Wii? Like, have the wii send the pics to my computer? Because I don't have an SD Card reader for my computer... (If those even exist. I don't know anything about SD Cards except phones and the wii use them =\ )

My flag in ACWW is Franziska's in game close-up but it's black and white to save the overall apperance. I also made a Franziska character with a pattern close her clothes made by an old CR member. :franny:

I'm trying to make the Flag again with CF but the Pattern maker I used has magically disappered.

Oh, the SD card reader is the key to transfering the pictures from the Wii to the computer (The easy way). You can get something like a 5 in 1 SD Card Reader for about $5 in most store that carries eletronics. Once I get mine a week or so, I'll post it here if no has done it yet.

The Alternate and Harder way is leave the SD card in Wii and Wii-mail it to yourself. Go into your address book, register a new friend, and tell it that it’s a PC/mobile phone. Type in the email address. It will send a confirmation message to the email account. Check your email (it might take a while) and follow the instructions in the email (I think all you have to do is respond to the email or something).

Woah haven't posted here in awhile heh heh...

AHEM anyways, sorry SNL but I'm not getting this game till xmas.

And yeah they had been reviewing this game harshly, and also it's not for everyone. Some people like killer violence, and some like games like Animal crossing. Personally I think it's a good game and it lasts a LONG time which some (a lot) don't, cause as we all know THERE IS NEVER AN END o: xDD

Also there is a way to send pictures to your computer, all you have to do is add your email to your contacts on your Wii and then send it through the Wii message board :P Or what ButzPuff said xDD

I've never created an interesting design lol I'm not good at that .______.;

Well, we said the same thing basically. I just add the a bit about adding you own e-mail address in case Bad hasn't done so already.

Actually, that's not much of a surprise. Nintendo been extremely select of doing things like that. Outside of backing up Games Saves/VC & WiiWare stuff, The only other uses for a SD card was saving pictures and videos in Brawl. And even then, you need a special program transfer the pictures to a computer/phone(Good Job, Nintendo... :nick:.) However, City Folk lets you save the pictures on the SD card and can transfer them to computer easily. It has something do with the photo's file type, mostly. Oh, and music in Excite Truck.

(Which I also believe that is possible to view the City Folk pictures on a DSi, in theory, of course. :notes:)

I don't really have the money for a Wii right now, let alone a fifty dollar video game....D: Darn it all. I'll have to hope for Christmas, my birthday (January, thank God.) or FOR WIIS TO CASCADE FROM THE HEAVENS before I can get one.

Well, if it is the same as the April Fool's past, you can get a present from the Mayor outside the townhall. But I heard that in City Folk, you can play pratical jokes on your neighbors. I sense Pitfall fun! :gant-clap2:

I want this game so badly right now. Getting it as a birthday present for my bro. No, I'm not getting it as an excuse to play the game. >.> coughcough

I don't care it's just a mix of the GC one and WW. I haven't played the GC version and I haven't touched WW in ages due to my cousins taking their DS back.

Thank god my brother's birthday is on Dec. 1, Christmas is around the corner and my birthday is in January? 8D

Wow, it's been some time since I posted in this thread, not since before the site redisign at least. Oh well...

I picked up City Folk yesterday, and it was definately enjoyable. I made my town (named it O-Town, as my original choice was now one letter too long), did all the chores for Nook, and then later that night ButzPuff and I visited each other's towns. I tried out my WiiSpeak, and it seems to work pretty well, though BP thinks it distorted my voice a bit. It was still fun, though, and that's mostly what matters.

It's a great game, combining the best aspects of the previous titles while still being an enjoyable experience, and I recommend it to AC veterans and newcomers alike. :hobohodo:

Apropo creating AA-charatcters, my young cousin actually made a pretty amazing Godot Mii, complete with the glowing red light! I'll wear it and laugh at everyone with cheap HMDs as their Godot gozzles :godot:

The character limit for the town name is a lousy eight :grey: It's outragous, I know. Ole Valley will be to long, I guess I'll have to settle with the norwegian Oledalen.

I got animal crossing city folk yesterday,
I named my town 4chan,
even though I have 0 bells I decided to go to the city,
I got my mii mask and it didnt cost,
I also got a bubble-wand and it was given out by an animal at the city.
Spoiler: no REAL animal crossing city folk spoilers, just what I plan to do on animal crossing city folk.
Next step, make the town flag look like the four-leaf 4chan site logo!
