Wait what? Did I miss an announcement or something? Coulda swore that Bamco was developing Smash Brothers.
Also, Phoenix HAS gotten his day to "smash" in Mahvel.

Yeah I know that now, but Capcom at one point was planning on working with them. I wouldn't count it out though, Capcom could still get a character as well as Sega.

Not quite, Sonic's actually been on the Console before with a wide series of handheld platforms and Sonic Adventure 2: Battle aside the storybook genre on Wii and others. He has good reason to be in it. By this logic Phoenix or Megaman is most likely to be in.

Though really I highly doubt any Capcom folks will get it. Snake was more or less a personal favour between the devs plus Snake had been on nintendo consoles before and Sonic has sturdy grounding on Nintendo consoles and was in there for the amazing hype they would get the game.

I don't really expect Smash Bros to fling the doors open wide to third parties because of those two.

Well if it's based on hype, the devs might realize how hyped nick was in UMvC3 and give him a chance. I would really like to see him in SSB4 before I go and buy UMvC3, but we won't know for a while so it looks like I have to :( I would say Nick has the best shot of getting in, even more then Megaman, remember, they did decide to not put Megaman in UMvC3.

Anyway my list is now a little more larger:

Ace Attorney Investigations 2 (PC)
NBA 2K13 (PS3)
Fire Emblem 3DS (3DS)
Paper Mario Sticker Star (3DS)
Gyakuten Saiban 5 (?)
Super Smash Bros 4 (3DS and Wii U)
Professor Layton vs Ace Attorney (3DS)
Madden NFL 13 (PS3)

Interested:
Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask (3DS) (Never played a Layton before)
Pokemon Black 2 (DS)
Donkey Kong 64 3D (3DS) (This hasn't been officially announced but creators are intrested in making I never beat the original one though.)

I had fun with the PS2 ver. and want to replay it with those extra thingies =^-^=

Also I'm kinda interested in the fighting game of... Yeah, Persona 4, this Mayonaka Arena-something for the PS3 and Xbox 360 systems.

Well technically phhhf..hehehe...they did.

Though Phoenix is a lot more niche than Sonic and there isn't the same cry to see Phoenix and....anyone from SSB share the spotlight in the same way as there was a cry for Sonic and Mario to share a game.

However yeah it would generate some hype and yeah Phoenix does have a good grounding on Nintendo consoles. I just think Sonic and Snake are exceptions to the no third party rule rather than an indication they'll do more.

I can't seem to access the link, but I'll assume it's the ZeroAlt. Hell I'll even link to Frank's.

Back on topic!! Tales of Xillia was announced for localization today! I want a PS3 and I want Xillia! Are you ready Bamco? Cause my wallet is ready!

Dunno why the link didn't work just tried it but yeah it's Zero's DLC costume.

Also is that just another tales game?

Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. :will: Sure it may not be a *REAL* Metal Gear game, but its still Hideo Kojima and that's good enough for me. Not to mention that Ground Zeroes is coming soon as well. :jake:

I would be looking forward to Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask and Virtue's Last Reward(yeah I know they're both out, but they're still recent), but I don't own a 3DS. The same goes for Gyakuten Saiban 5 and PL. vs AA.

I prolly would be more excited about Okami HD, if I had any money left. xD

Aww but man Ironside isn't doing Sam anymore, and the new guy doesn't even sound remotely close to Sam's age. I'd be getting Splinter Cell if the voice actually matched the character, but I dunno.... That's just me.

I dunno, wether the German voice-actor is gonna change, though.

Funnily, I rarely like the German voice more than the English one. (Isaac from Dead Space 2 and Adam Jensen from Deus Ex: Human Revolution)

So, if the German guy stays the same, I´ll be just fine. ^^

Lets see, I'm very excited for Primordia, preordered it from gog.com a few days ago. It's probably the last new game I'm getting this year, but I do wanna buy Far Cry 3 sometime.

Next year, Ni No Kuni, Sly Cooper: Thieves in Time, Bioshock Infinite, Dragon's Crown are a few of the games I'm really looking ahead to.

Shin Megami Tensei IV (3DS) -- It has been about 10 years since Nocturne was released, and FINALLY the main series is getting another game. HELL YESSSSS

Devil Summoners: Soul Hackers and Persona 3DS (3DS) -- Moar SMT plz

Ace Attorney vs Professor Layton and Ace Attorney 5 (3DS) -- No need to explain.

Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask (3DS) -- Layton is always good

Paper Mario: Sticker Star (3DS) -- I don't even know if it's out yet, but I want it.

There's probably a lot more than that, but that's all I can think of now since I'm kinda focusing on getting a 3DS first.

Also,

You missed out on a great game. The gameplay may not have been the same, but it still had the humor of the originals and a much better storyline. I'm not going to lie, it made me cry twice. And I'm not new to emotional storylines either, so games have to be up to the level of To the Moon to even get a tear out of me. Seriously, you should rent it, at least. I'm actually kind of pissed that my copy isn't working anymore, because I wanted to replay it.

Plus even if the gameplay was different it was still good fun and totally competent for a Paper Mario game.`

Let's see... the games I am looking forward to are:
Professor Layton VS Ace Attorney (3DS): A crossover between my two favorite DS/3DS series, why wouldn't I be looking forward to its localization.

Pikmin 3 (Wii U): I just got into the Pikmin series and this looks interesting. Of course I've got to get a Wii U first

Super Smash Bros. 4 (Wii U): I only got into Smash Bros at Brawl and I liked it. I know Sonic will be in it and Phoenix has a fair chance. But I'm really hoping that Level-5 out of the blue let's Professor Layton be in the game.

Ace Attorney 5 (3DS): A return to Phoenix Wright as the main character and more classic Ace Attorney, I'm going to get it release day.

Sonic the Hedgehog 4: Episode III (???): I'm not surprised nobody else put this down. Unlike most people, I like Sonic 4, though the chances for Episode III are slim.

Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies (3DS): More Professor Layton, I'll get it release day. Plus, I hear it will have 365 Puzzles within the game itself, not counting downloadable puzzles.

I haven't played that many games lately, but...

JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: All Star Battle
Half-Life 2: Episode 3
Professor Layton vs. Ace Attorney
Professor Layton and the Azran Legacies
AA5 and AAI2
Dragon Quest Monsters 3DS
Dragon Quest VII 3DS
The sequel to Amnesia (title escapes my memory)
The supposed sequel to 999 and Virtue's Last Reward

And that's about it.

999 was fantastic. Wish I could play VLR. I don't own a 3DS or Vita, so I can't. However there has been talk of 3DS support on the Wii U, just like the Gameboy Player on Gamecube. If such a peripheral was ever released for Wii U, than I'd be able to play titles like VLR or Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask. Make it happen, Nintendo! The Wii U touch screen would work perfectly with DS/3DS games!

Hum... no, there really hasn't. What you might be talking about is crossplay between the Wii U and the 3DS, like with Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate, where you'll be able to play with 3DS users on the Wii U, using local wifi (one guy on the Wii U, the others on their 3DS), along with the ability to share save data between the 2 versions.

Check out this article.
gengame.net/2012/07/iwata-talks-playing-ds-and-3ds-games-on-wii-u/ It is by no means a confirmation or anything, but at least there are talks. It's not like it isn't possible either. The Super Gameboy and Gameboy Player were both successful. A DS/3DS add-on would be a good idea and a smart business decision on Nintendo's part.

Well, that's because there isn't any information... yet. I'm 100% confident we'll get some news this year. Actually, I would be surprised if we didn't get a Zelda game on the 3DS this very year, probably 2014 for the Wii U game.

2014? More like 2016. If it's a brand new game engine for a brand new console, then the five year development cycles will continue for each game.

Couldn't they use the OOT engine? That engine worked fine and looked nice on 3DS.

Nope. 2014, or at the very least 2015. I'm sure people will be surprised at how 'quick' they show the game, and actually release it. Then again, I'm no Nintendo insider, so I'm not pretending I know stuff I don't :p

We're talking about the Wii U game, Pierre :phoenix:
I don't know if they'd use the same engine for the 3DS game though... If there's a Majora's Mask remake, yes, seems quite likely. As for an original game... I'm not sure. Depends on whether they go for a 3D game like OoT, or a 2D/2.5D game like a NSMB game, or the DS games.

Oh my mistake, I thought you meant 3DS.
Though it might not even be a remake, could make a new game on 3DS software I'm sure. It's proven powerful enough to make one. Though when was the last 2D Zelda game? Didn't think there was much demand for that anymore.

I agree. Also, Nintendo might want to get a Legend of Zelda game out soon to increase sales of the Wii U.
